- In today's video, I'm comparing La Mer Soft Fluid Foundation in the shades Amber and Honey. I'm also trying out La Mer The Powder. As an added bonus, I'm trying the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette-Ghost. This is a part of the Hourglass holiday collection. I previously work La Mer in shade Honey and it's a little light for me. So I decided to try the shade Amber. Which shaded matches me? Watch to find out.

Before the powder, Amber looked great. I could see the white in the honey shade before powder was applied.

I am an nc40/42+ when tan.. i own Natural Beige(gray cast)Suede (pinky)and Honey(best of the 3...warmer).
It’s tough choosing a shade with them. I find that their photos online don’t seem to be accurate either. I’m happy you found Amber and it works for you. ✨😀
@@savvy_1 I know! In Tom Ford Shade&Illuminate...girrrrrlll. I bought and returned TWICE!!! I finally found Sepia to be best match but for $150...shoot, I am not tryna be off color lol I wear 3-4 shades in TF in their various foundations😒 these online images aint sh*t
Have you tried the next shade, Sepia? Might be much better shade match.

Amber is better. A few weeks ago I let the makeup person chose for me and she choose Sienna which was a little dark and I had choose Amber which was good but a tad light. I've lived with the Sienna for a while but I'm going to do back and get Amber. I don't like the darker ashy Sienna best.
I get your point. If Sienna is too dark, it’s hard to fix that. You can always make lighter shades darker with bronzer. But when it’s too dark, it’s hard to make it lighter. Thanks for watching! ✨🤗

Savvy any time...I wear Amber also..I just for the life of me can’t get with the loose powder early one..but about 3 hours later it’s really beautiful..the pressed powder in medium deep I wear as a stand alone foundation as it’s pretty decent coverage on its own
Setting and Finishing powders are different for setting you go with colorless (translucent) and add color back in w bronzer etc. For WOC MOST so called translucent powders leave a cast. I use a very light hand if I use powder...I have the OG la mer powders in original and beige. The only powders I use; Sisley irisee...Lancome Absolue(Peche and Medium Ecru) la mer orig...not the repromo... Decorte med 2. Most women powder too heavy especially mature women.
I typically do use translucent powder. Now I don’t use the LaMer powder in my concealer areas but I use it everywhere else. It’s lovely that way. Thanks for sharing. ✨😊

To me they both. Look too cool toned or maybe neutral. Not warm enough but thanks for the video. Maybe it’s the lighting but compared to your neck, neither one matches.

At first I thought the foundations were too light for your skin complexion, however, I guess they oxidized. By the end of the video I thought both foundations look good on you.
