And the acetone bath you’re supposed to hang the tires from the lid, don’t let them touch the liquid, close lid. The fumes will remove the glue without losing it to evaporation
AWESOME STUFF! THANKS FOR SHARING!
Mark, you gotta seal that acetone container. 😁 It is not all in the foams it is all on the air because it evaporates very quickly. Also you are right, if you cut the tires off at the bead then it will work faster. Another trick is to weight them down to keep the top and bottom below the acetone. Great video sir!!!
Hi, a acetone trick, put acetone in a small container inside a bucket, put your tires around the small container and seal the bucket with a lid. Leave for 3 or 4 days. It's the fumes that melt the super glue. Dont have to soak tires, less acetone used.
Genius! Gonna try this!
Grab a metal paint can from the paint store. Seals really well. I made a chicken wire platform inside the can and only fill the bottom with acetone.
So it's just the acetone fumes that breaks down the glue. Thanks!
That’s pretty good! It does make more sense. Some metals react poorly to chemicals though so be sure the can or container you use is safe.
The struggle of Walmart shopping carts. Ik that feeling Mark 😄. I go there just about every week 😂
You might want to seal the lid on the acetone bucket for the strongest use.
You can also use an ammonia based glass cleaner for applying decals. Glass cleaner is designed to dry clear and streak free i.e. leaves no residue after it dries. Soap can leave a residue. Try using a scent-free, moisturizer-free, additive-free, detergent or surfactant. Pure dishwashing soap can also be used.
Ahh! Makes sense. I’ve seen people use windex before.
Heat the decals 5-10 secs with a hair dryer - softens the decal and reactivates the glue. Then, just apply a little pressure to get it to stick. When it cools it will be perfect.
I use easy off (foaming) oven cleaner for the pipes, heavy duty acetone and an old coffee can for the rims but i cut the tires off down to the bead and cover the container, takes about 2 hours with fresh acetone. Great vid.
Monster energy cleans nitro pipes, imagine what it does to your insides lol
Antifreeze in a crockpot?!!! That's gotta smell wonderful 😝
Yes cut foam out first. As I've seen in a lot of the comments already, it is the fumes that get the glue the fastest, but for simple lazy and as little acetone fume exposure put the acetone in a container with a gasket and seal it. Nice thing is the acetone won't evaporate and you can just leave the acetone in the container and reuse for the next time.
There's no need to soak the entire tyre in acetone. The best way to not waste time and acetone is to cut away the old tyre, remove the foam and leave as little of rubber possible on the rim. Then you took a flat container (like the white ikea ones) , the rim in supported by a bottle cap and pour a little acetone in it. Then you seal the lid and let it set overnight. The acetone fumes will melt the glue in a couple of hours and you can save a lot of acetone than just soaking the entire wheel in it.
Got video of this?
@@jstump1972 i don't but if you search how to unglue Buggy tires you'll find plenty of videos
Monster in the crockpot would probably work really well
Love it! We need more rc hacks in our lives.
Yes, soapy water for decals, tint, etc. Anything sticky to be able to line it up without ruining the sticker. That trick has been around for years.
First time seeing you not wearing an MSM shirt! 🤯 Lol! I just picked up a new tool box for my race truck. It's in the same place where those locking parts boxes are. It's a Walmart brand center opening box on wheels. The Slash fits perfectly. 👍🏆🏁
Thanks for tips definitely using the Nitro tube trick
Somebody has probably already said this.....but for the acetone.....ya don't soak the tires. Get a container that seals and is big enough for the tires to fit without touching each other. Pour the acetone in a cup and let it sit in the sealed bucket. Its the vapors that break the glue down. No need to soak.
Great video and knowledge about Walmart
Enjoy the weekend
For cleanin the pipes or even aluminum wheels for the rcs, try coca cola. We used it in the injector pump on an old tractor n soaked the pieces we pulled out of the pump. Cleaned all the buildup off n it worked perfect wen we put it all back together
oooff that monster is a giant sticky mess waiting to happen. as far as removing tires from wheels, naptha works also and isn't nearly as volatile, but works slower.
Just a suggestion. Burn the foams in a controlled situation so they don't catch fire under unfortunate circumstances since they are soaked in an accelerant. Don't hold them in your hand and light them, pour a trail to them and light the trail keeping yourself and everything else away from the source.
I’ve also heard that normal Coke is great for cleaning toilets, so it’s have to have a place in here. It definitely has and acidic effect.
Actually I was hoping the blue would come off! Decent hacks! Thanks!
Great content Mark love it!
Really cool rc hacks.would like to see a drift car video the rc drift car are so cool
Great video mark !
Great video. Great tips
I like these helpful hack videos!
Good evening brother great video good information
Mark love the videos, it would be awesome if you do a nb48 2.0 build you’d do a great build that would help people I got a group of us about to start our build with the nb48 2.0 I’m sure there’s more people out there that can use the help also. Keep up the good work👍🏻 you’re the best
Put your pipes in 16% nitro feul for 15min and wipe cleaning your nitro motor as well only use nitro feul 16% works the best 👌🏼
I use those storage bins
Oh ok
Neat hacks Mark 👍
Hi there Mr Santa m there are many rd sites to watch ,but for light hearted fun you're is the best
Lemon joy works best
Ahh yes green Red Bull
When you clean your exhaust with Monster energy and still believe it’s not harmful to consume 😂 sorry couldn’t resist I’ve never been a fan of energy drinks as all they do is give me the shakes 😬 great hack vid would definitely like to see more 😎
Crazy huh! Its water and coffee for me ;)
@@MarkSantaMaria that makes 2 of us 😉
Energy drinks or Coca cola...once you see what they do to metal, yikes!
I’m sure it’s just some simple chemical reactions but it’s still sounds pretty concerning😂. Not a good look
@@juanpablosaenz7719 💯👍
COOL!!! Mark is surely an rc enthusiast just like me LOL XD
Actually i don’t think the foam soaked up all the acetone. Acetone evaporates super quickly so if you put a sealed lid on it and leave it in your garage it really helps with keeping it in there
I’ve now watched over 10 of your videos Mark, and I like them! I’ve now subbed, good job Mark! I try to only sub only to people who I really like, but I still have subbed to over 40 people...🤣🤣
Sunscreen SPF- 50 “spray” rejuvenates and opens pores of foam tires . The lotion works as well but too messy and takes longer to dry.
U should use some kind of stand for the wheels and the acetone vapor will do the trick
Have see people put tires in a oven to remove super glued tires
Haven't tried it myself (oven) but after doing the acetone hack it seems to work so much better.
Yikes! Mark, putting sugary expensive energy drinks to clean parts? That’s funny. You will have to clean the sticky stuff off🤣 that’s funny. If it works, what does that do to your stomach?! CONSPIRACY!!!
The vapor alone is able to break up the glue guys.
Hey mark you can make a video on the new truggy body and how is mount on the front ?
It’s mek to do the rims and cut the old tire down and it will work great...
If the trolley is pulling to the left, it's because it's endpoints are not correctly adjusted.
Would like to see you try the silicone earplugs in the center diff hack
and the shoe goo and drywall tape on the body hack
If you use a spatel, you can force the soupy liquid underneath the sticker and then it sticks quite fast. No need to wait for many hours. It almost sticks instantly
You like the liquid wrench yellow? Most say blue
Great hacks
Baby shampoo and water is far superior
MSM you should do and old school build with a 3s motor
I'm not sure using a sticky sugary substance is the right move. But it's certainly better than putting it into your body
I just had perfect cart the other day . I wanted to take it and put it in my car and take it with me.
Always soaked my engines and pipes in Old Nitro fuel and after several hours everything comes right off with a toothbrush and a little scrubbing
I would guess soaking the pipes in Coca-Cola would work just as well. 🤔
PAINTED wheels and the stock chrome acidtone will eat it up that's what i use
Note to self. No more drinking of Monster Energy Drinks!
To reuse wheels, we used to just boil them in water.
💕👍
I've literally never had an acceptable cart at Walmart
Lol… crazy right!?!
Mark; so hoss or Maxx? Or 4x4 rustler?? Fully modded
Great practical information. I think acetone will melt certain companies' on road wheels, but may be your other followers can verify that.
Dude I drink a Green Monster every single morning. What can you do with it? I do know when it dries out when spilled, the sugar makes it extremely sticky.
But Red Bull isn’t anywhere near the same as Monster. Well, at least the feeling! I can’t drink RB.
Hi Mark, Dig your Videos, I need that blue resonator you cleaned in the monster, make me a deal on it? thx JJ
I usually spray sticker and where I am applying it so you can move it without taking it off and then it dries like new
What do u do for a luving ..if it's ok to ask?
As a mechanic when he said crock pot + antifreeze I was concerned. But after talking to a few of my buddies they also use this hack to clean parts as well
It make you think we drink that what’s in it 🤔
As far as the monster hack I hear coke does the same
Never dull will take all the crap off the pipes an you can buy it at Walmart
You a full mark
I'm up for anything new
(Hack)
Mark...it is very frustrating that you delete comments which has no profanity, insults or anything bad. My comments keep getting deleted and I have no clue why. 😨😨 Is it because i mentioned the most popular name brand window and glass cleaner?
I dont delete anything. It must be getting flagged or something
