- I record a blue 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 with Track Pack at the local Cars and Coffee. The Shelby starts up and accelerates out of the car show. The exhaust note sounds amazing as the driver switches through the different exhaust modes. The idle alone is very loud in person. The camera doesn't do the car justice!
From Car and Driver's website "The all-new, all-awesome Shelby GT350 picks up where the Boss 302 left off, with more power, performance, and poise. Its 5.2-liter V-8 makes 526 hp and 429 lb-ft. A six-speed manual is the sole transmission; a Torsen rear diff is also standard. Giant brakes yield eye-popping deceleration while magnetic ride control keeps handling and ride sharp yet civil. For the ultimate Stang, the GT350R drops weight by deleting the rear seats and has carbon-fiber wheels."

@@brandonchretien5995 I understand what you’re saying but to most non car enthusiasts that don’t understand the different components that went into this car to make it a better mustang will call it a mustang instead of calling it a Shelby. No one refers to the 65 gt350 as a mustang! It’s referred to as a Gt350 or a Shelby… or original gt350. No one refers to a 911 turbo S as just a 911. It’s a fucking Turbo S. Unless they have driven a GT350 or R variant, to them it will just be a mustang!
@@brandonchretien5995 its still a mustang, same s550 chassis. Even suspension geometries are still very similar to the base ecoboost except some control arms and magride differ.

It's a flatplane with unequal exhaust manifolds. This is why this buy sound like a cross v8
A real flat-plane v8 sounds better , Ford couldn't fit the proper intake or exhaust manifold required so they changed the firing order and sacrificed many of the benefits of the flat-plane design. But the words flat-plane sure sold some cars.

What headers and exhaust can you replace on a GT to get it to sound like this GT350’s loud mode?
That does sound good I've had 3 Mustangs in my lifetime (2 fox body's & a 08 GT) but if I ever buy another Ford it would have to be Classic 65-69 Mustang

+squala some people get in the habit (myself included). We just get used to head checking and seeing no one is even in lane nearby and just say "fuck it, no one is there to notify I'm moving." I'm trying to work on doing it all the time more, just a hard habit to break. Although as soon as I get one of these I'm signaling all the time just so people can see the sequential taillights.

Is the exhaust on these cars great as people say? Never heard one in person. In videos they all sound the same, loud rasp as if they all have open headers lol. Maybe there isn't a mic that can truely pick up the sound.
I can say if I was there behind that machine when it took off, I could have died and been happy

Gainey Village in Scottsdale. Double tree ranch road and Scottsdale road. Only happens on first Saturday of every month. Goes from 7am to 9 or 10am.

Canon Vixia HF R500. it has incredible built in stabilization even when zooming all the way.

What would happen if you took the flat plane crank out and put in a normal one?
Wouldn't fire evenly, wouldn't rev as high, wouldn't make as much power... simply have a look at the standard Mustang GT 5.0.. and there's your answer.
