Today we take a look at the Shelby GT350 Mustang, one of the most fun cars to drive. Should you buy a Mustang Shelby GT350? Let's review it and find out!
The tremec transmission is flawless and one of the many highlights of this car. Have both a 17 and 19 and no oil consumption on either. Tire consumption? For sure!
I agree with you that the GT350 is unique in looks and sound from the other Mustang of this era. Well it certainly sounds different but the best V8 I ever heard...The original GT350 with side exit exhaust comes to mind, but my favorite is a 1968 Super Stock Hemi Dart...
I just purchased a 2019 Shelby GT350 Cobra 🐍 I have had about a week now and it’s totally awesome 🤩! It was worth the price of admission which wasn’t too expensive but still beats to new 2024’s Eco boost GT’s Regular GT’s Premium GT’s In Power and Torque in my opinion. The Dark Horse 🐎 Mustang was nice but I think they are overpriced with the extra premium tac on the original manufacture price. The sticker price by the dealerships in my neck of the woods has add a premium (extra charge) between $20,000 to $30,000 more to the suggested manufacturer price, which is totally outrageous that’s means your paying around $78,000-$89500 right off the bat ! I remember all this extra Premium charge started around with COVID-19 and has not gone totally away yet. Still, I decided to get my hands on Shelby GT350 Cobra 🐍because to me it was a great value and better options for my hard earned money ! Great Review and Excellent Information that you provided. I like to add the 2019-2020 model years would be the best option to buy since most of the issues were updated, solved, upgraded, and fixed by Ford Performance before out of production.
Mentioning gear grind could be specific to the one you're driving. I've owned 2 and neither have had that issue. The Tremec trans that followed through into the darkhhore is one of the strong features of this car.
Do you have aftermarket wheels for the winter tires? I live in the PNW and am considering a GT350 but all-seasons are a must here and I can't find a set of all seasons that fit the stock gt350 wheels.
You missed the biggest issue with the 16-18 gen 1 voodoo engine. Which is the oil consumption! I also don’t think gear grind is an issue. Probably the one you are driving, but those tremecs are tanks of a transmission.
That rear emblem Isn't factory. Also. Get one with magnaride. I wouldn't buy one prior to 2018 (mine is a 2017. I learned about gen 2 motor after )The white is gorgeous. Cheers bud.
That looks like a GT500 badge on the back to me. I have a 19 350R so Im not sure but I thought the badges were the same on both except the R's are red? Anybody know?
@@ProfessorDrives LOL..thanks. Yeah, it is a fun car indeed in every way. Mine is sleeping in the garage for the winter. I would have gotten you to drive mine with some really good mods, but alas I live too far away from you in Calgary, Alberta.
I'm still working on my financial company :( but if you send me an email (from my about section). I'll make several of them unlisted and give you all the links :)
Can you get hold of a Shelby Super Snake? That's my dream car, along with a GT350. Great video; I enjoyed your enthusiasm and knowledge. Glad you didn't die in that parking lot. Cheers!
Great car, I've been considering one of these or an E92 M3 or maybe a G80 M3 after my 440i. To my ears the E92 sounds better but it's not nearly as capable, the G80 is an amazing daily, fast & luxurious + it can still get a manual. Everything else in the price range in my opinion isn't even worth considering, F80 is numb & sounds awful, Infiniti is dead on arrival & the Supra is too small.
Find a 2019 or 2020 if you can. They started putting the Gen 2's in em in 19. I have a 2019 Gen 2 350R with 49,000mi on it. I beat the sht out of that car and have pretty much zero oil consumption between oil changes. Ford swapped out a ton of Gen 1 engines under warranty on the 16 thru 18 models too if you find one that's been swapped it was probably done at the dealer. These cars have a bad reputation because alot of them were originally sold to the kind of people who would never think of checking their oil between changes. You know, NOT car guys. The early engines had consumption issues and people ragging on em while they were low on oil is what destroyed most of em. Find you a Gen 2. You'll know one by just opening the hood. All of em have a badge with the engine builders signature on it, they were all hand assembled, the Gen 1 will have 2 signatures and the Gen 2's have only one. If you find one go for it man you won't regret it. They're super reliable. You can beat the crap out of em all day long. You'll immediately feel the difference from the GT's. Also just preference, but switch over to Amsoil 5w50 oil. Not gonna lie it's a little expensive but I had several GT350 owners recommend it and have been using it since the 2nd oil change. Good stuff. You can get a kit with the oil and filter for $140-$160 (they have 10 quart oil pans) and do it yourself. You have to order it or get it somewhere like Summit racing you'll never find it at the auto parts store but totally worth the cost and pain in the butt to get it.
I just wish they were more reliable and available in auto bc idk how to drive stick (never had a chance to learn) and id hate to grenade such a beautiful car or wrap it around a tree 🤣
Also, didn't mention how the Voodoo is an imbalanced engine. An FPC with CPC characteristics...which makes the engine glow up. Ford didn't want it to sound like a Ferrari (like GM's LT5 does), and wanted that V8 tone. The Voodoo was on the verge of being scrapped, but with enough engineers wanted a toy to play with Ford executives approved it. Even Ford Racing had to swap out the FPC since it was too unreliable and costly to keep fixing on their cars.
The tremec transmission is flawless and one of the many highlights of this car. Have both a 17 and 19 and no oil consumption on either. Tire consumption? For sure!
Nice, I want 1 to daily. I have my 15GT I love it but selling it because I got a truck. I’ll be patient hopefully in a year or 2 I’ll get my gt350
2019 and on my second engine and transmission 🤣
@@VS666how it that possible? You tracking it ?
I am 100% buying this car best sounding v8 I’ll stand on that hill with you my brother
100% best sounding exhaust all around. I'll have this car one day!

I love my 2016 gt350. Have had no problems tuned to e85 American racing headers 45lb fuel injectors. It's so fun to drive. Never tracked. Weekend car!
Avalanche grey with the stripe delete is the best color too, beautiful car

The ending 😂 Great vid

You left out the top competitor, camaro zl1 for the 50k to 60k price range. Its a really good option aswell. But we are here to hear about the gt350
The 5.5 in the c8 sound amazing as well
Great video! Does the engine have forged internals for boost modifications?
Yo whaaaat that model in the video had 94k miles??? Was I trippin? I’m pleasantly surprised it’s survived that long. I can’t wait to own one.
I daily my 17’ gt350 in Rhode Island .. winter tires in December and it’s a perfect daily it’s such a great car it wants to be driven all the time !

That’s the plan when I get one, are you racking in a lot of miles
Awesome video 🔥 got my 21GT have had so much fun with it a dream car ! But GT350 is next on the list can’t wait to be in this iconic beast !🙌🏻
Keep goin! You'll get it!!

Stick to 2019-20 models only. There's a reason why 19/20 command a 50% higher price tag.
Why?
@@pudding390gen 2 voodoo no more oil consumption issues

this or the lexus rc f? :D great videos man! :)
Hmmmm. GT350 gets the win :)
RCF is a wannabe sports car lol
No, thats a luxury sports coupe aka a gt… 😂😅

It is! I think the reviewer is unaware that is after market. Still a cool vid.
Yup! 500 badging. Not a fan of mis-badging even if it looks good. I have a 350... and it should be the rectangular Shelby badge.
The Shelby350 is the greatest sounding V8 ever. Don’t at me
Can we get 15 likes? :D

Is the exhaust stock on this vehicle?

Honda S2000 revs that high
Hood is lower. Completely different front end than a GT. They share very few common parts. I’ll never sell my 2020 GT 350.
Just got enough to buy it cash and this video pops up.
Scared to trade in my relabel trouble free GT and go for it.
Go for it

I think you shouldn’t add the music to the back ground
Agree the music distracting. The R is the model to get

My 22 EcoRooster with Pedal Captain smokes it !!!!!
THe interior is hideous
Ruined it with that gay ass red carbon fiber sticker on the steering wheel
Agreed, that just totaled the whole car
Also, what do you think of the Dark Horse?
I think it's an awesome car! I've never been in one or driven one, but will definitely look out for one to review!
