She was so adorable back then, I loved her in the tv show in the 1990’s Charmed. Her, Holly Marie Combs & Alyssa Milano make a great team in that show. They work 12 hours to 16 hours a day in the studio memorizing scripts and going over dialogue everyday. There absolutely wonderful.

The industry hated her, the public loved her, any show she’s been on usually dies a slow death after she’s gone
I think people confused her for "Brenda".. the actual character. 90210 started to portray Brenda's character as stuck-up and annoying.. I think the viewers started to confuse Shannen with Brenda.
There's 2 sides to every story, an then there's the truth.
Maybe coz she wasn't that great an actress as Jenny the industry had lot of rivalry
I love Shannen Doherty and her spirit. It was sad that Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling were so jealous of her beauty and acting that they led to kicking her out of the show. Beverly Hills 90210 was a Brenda show and when she left the show went downhill. Nobody bought Kelly as a star of the show.

It’s not hard to deduce that her being let go from 90210 was more complicated than that. She was a difficult person on set and there are many people involved with 90210 who have gone on record confirming that. Pretty much the entire cast wound up having a problem with her, and the producers got sick of her crap too. There’s nothing wrong with being a fan of hers. She was talented and had a certain charisma but her die-hard fans love to promote this image of her as being a victim of everyone else around her. It’s always everyone else’s fault except hers. Nonsense. She was an arrogant, self-centered brat. She definitely seems to have matured, and what’s happening with her health is terrible, but there’s no need to create a revisionist fantasy of her past troubles staying employed as an actress.
@@EastSide-qc5oy If Shannen was the problem how come all the other actresses complained about awful atmosphere on the set in later seasons? Tiffany Amber Thiessen and Vanessa Mercil both confirmed that Jennie along with Tori were bullies who thought that this was their show and only they can be stars. That's precisely the reason why they couldn't stand Shannen. Because she was prettier and much more talented. And let's face it, This show's greatness was when Shannen was in it. Later it was boring crap.

And yes I’m well aware of what other actors have said about their time joining the cast or as recurring guest stars. Christine Elise was one as well. Jennie and Tori were obviously spoiled brats in their own right. But that doesn’t mean Shannen wasn’t. She wasn’t fired because Jennie and Tori were jealous. She was fired for a number of reasons. And then she was fired again from her next show. (Oh wait, that was all Alyssa’s fault, right?) Because Shannen can do no wrong and everyone else is just jealous, right? Gimme a break. She was a major hindrance to production and a major headache for producers and they eventually said enough is enough. She was way too popular on both shows to be let go for petty reasons. There’s no way they would have let her go unless she was really causing problems. And she was.
