Whoa... That's Wild. I know my grandma had decent cameras back then because I've seen the pictures but man this story made me feel really old... Like pioneer old. Also isn't poker for money illegal in Utah..? Was it illegal back then? Not that it matters but I'm just trying to get a feel for Rural Utah then and now. I can almost feel remnants of that Wild-West vibe.. I remember as a kid, just calling Salt Lake from Utah county was very expensive. I remember being able to buy real firecrackers out in Eastern Utah, I guess due to lack of enforcement and proximity to Wyoming... 🤔 Without the nicer highways it probably took 5 hours or more to drive between Moab and Salt Lake even before they dropped the limits to 55. Of course if they didn't have cameras I'd be willing to bet they did not have Radar speed enforcement either. What do you bet there are other cases that get linked...? I need to remember to check back in after a few months.
