Has anybody been up to check on the Shumont Mountain Road Community? Has the road up been washed out? There are many elderly up there. Please check on them. They will need help and supplies. I lived up there with my mom until 2016 when she was dying and had to move down to H'ville. Im so worried about the Shumont community. Sending love to all. Im retired in Rocky Mount, and thinking of you all.

The geography in the region funneled water into Bat Cave. Literally a cross of 3 rivers in a gorge leading down to Lure Lake.
