Authentic righteousness only comes in the form of being in Christ and resting in his righteousness. We will only ever be to a degree sanctified and right in our choices. Actual righteousness is only according to what Christ has completed and accomplished in our behalf.
Righteousness is better defined by the Holiness here in my opinion. To be set apart and saved from our own love of idols, which is what causes our unrighteousness in Gods sight. Our true desire from the start is ACCEPTANCE and FAVOR from God; before the pursuit of a Christian life we demand it anyway we act: if we truly see what Jesus Christ Yeshua 👑 did to fulfill Gods commands... 😮 I need righteousness. Righteousness/Holiness quick as possible. Because that is the only way to enter Gods Presence with Favor. "Without Holiness no one will see God" thats why i gravitated to that word. Same thing. RC is the man 🙏 always learn do much from his sermons.
Morality is defined as a particular system of values and principles of conduct, especially one held by a specified person or society. Righteousness is defined as defined as Perfect Law Keeping! Which Jesus Christ is the only one to perfectly keep the Law in our place! So to be Righteous is to be perfect at keeping the Law! None of us can do it! Thats why we need to believe in Jesus Christ who kept it for us!❤
@@EBeautiful-f9d amen, something felt a little off to me since we're declared righteous by God because of the saving work of Jesus Christ. who lived the perfect life in our place since we couldn't do it ourselves. as it is written "Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." since faith is also a supernatural gift of God, even he gets all the honor and glory in the end! “By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
@@EBeautiful-f9dThat is NOT true. No one can keep the moral law of God FOR YOU. Nor can anyone atone for YOUR SINS. You must overcome the sins that lead to eternal death by overcoming the sins. This is done by the power of the Fathers spirit living in you and you choosing to do the Fathers will and not your own will. "To WHOMEVER OVERCOMES he will inherit ALL THINGS. I will be his Elohim and he will be MY SON". Revelation 21:7. NO ONE who sins will enter the kingdom. I'm shocked at just how many people have never actually read the NT.
You cannot be righteous in the flesh the only one righteous in a believer is Christ that dwells in him. The goal of a predestinated born again believer is to return back to God. This is not our home.
😂 bud the verse is clear those who are predestined are to become like Christ. No we will not accomplish perfection but their is never anything outside of Christ's example that is acceptable. You obviously have zero comprehension of the word predestination. Keep listening to this master tho he is as good as anyone most likely. Read the Puritans Boice Zwingli Augustine Wycliffe 👍
@EBeautiful-f9d A Pharisee will define righteousness according to flesh, and so will many Christians who are self-righteous like Pharisees. Which is why none of the scripture doctrines ever encourage us to seek afrer righteousness , instead, we've been encouraged to put on Christ. He is our righteousness. The 'Goal' is clearly defined in Phillipians 3. It is to know him.
@EBeautiful-f9d You wouldn't believe if I told you , jk. Righteousness itself is of two types, self-righteousness and Righteousness through the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit. It can be misleading if 'The Goal' as mentioned in the video is Righteousness. I'm not sure if RC was exaggerating to make a point or not. But 'The Goal' as righteousness is not a scriptural doctrine. Righteousness is one of several virtues as a result of the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit. Philippians ch3 mentions 'The Goal', It is to know Christ! In Colossians, we are asked to put on Christ. In Romans 8 29 to 30 we've been reminded of the untilmate Goal of salvation , we are predestined to be in the image of his Son. Righteousness is only small a part of it! Christ likeness is and should be our ultimate Goal.
@ Righteousness is defined as Perfect Law Keeping! God requires Perfection! We can only be perfect through the perfect Righteousness of another Jesus Christ! “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” Matthew 5:48 KJV “For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:20 KJV We need a Perfect Righteousness through Faith in the Finished work of Jesus Christ!❤️
@EBeautiful-f9d Yes, we need perfect righteousness, but you can't point to a scripture that says we could be righteous by our efforts , can you ? You seem confused with righteousness imputed to us Vs practical righteousness By faith, we are positionally righteous but practically not righteous until we see him as he is. 1 John 3: 2-3 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. Practical righteousness will only be as a result of Christ likeness and not because of us chasing after righteousness by keeping of law.
