This modern day prince of pastors fought the dark powers of Satan during the best years of his life. He could've spent his later life retired but he kept at it (like all the greats) and begged and pleaded for people to listen, always ready to teach people the way to Christ. I'm my opinion, he must have one special blessing walking amongst Christ right now. He's been up there for a couple years. The grandeur he must be experiencing is undoubtedly far beyond our wildest imaginations. What a dream it would be to someday accompany him with the great, all Supreme, Almighty God of our universe.

I love hearing Dr. Sproule's messages over the years... I feel like I'm sitting in a seminary class and getting to absorb so much rich content when he teaches.. what a blessing that would have been to be able to sit at his feet in his Bible courses and classes over the years... he certainly is receiving his reward for his gift while used on this Earth!

I found it impossible to Forgive and I was suffering greatly. Finally I remembered to ask God to deliver me from evil..And Now I can Forgive and I will get well again. We pray..For Us..for God To Help us Do the things we cannot do on our own.

I am struggling with unforgiveness as well and I feel like a hypocrite and like that man in Jesus parable whom the Lord cancelled the debt but was adamant in demanding the payment from someone who owed him... And I pray and cry to God to change my heart and see and feel things from His heart.. I know that God would answer and help..

I raised up 4 truly beautiful boys to men. They were my life and I adored each one. While still young " 24" my 3rd born son Timothy fell 80 feet from a tree. Devastated I turned to God for help, for peace. Six weeks later my 2nd son, Matthew, who was very close to Timothy, took his life with a gun to his beautiful sweet head. I so needed God with me. Now, years later, my youngest son Dane, whom I have been especially close to, got sick and is now gone from me. My heart is so sick, so broken. I very much need peace in my soul. I pray for this all the time and I'm would ask if so inclined you would pray for me and my oldest son Luke. I would ask for some true peace in my heart and soul. Gods blessings and thank you.

Through the pandemic, I started to listen to RC Sproul and man does this man love the Lord and His Word. I love how well he explains and shares his wisdom with us. The power of God is really upon RC Sproul through these lectures and explanation. So refreshing to hear the pure Word of God being explained rather than all the prosperity teaching that has so filled youtube these days.

When I think of a magnificent and powerful preacher like RC, I think to myself.... he has been with the Lord Almighty Himself, for a few years now. For more than 900 days he has gotten to experience the sound of trumpets, the bright light of glory, the paradise he always taught of but never got to see until his grand entrance into his forever. Imagine what he's experiencing. I wonder if he is acquainted well with certain angels specifically, spending more time with some than others; what it looks like when he travels from one end to the other of heaven, and what Christ really looks like. Think of it! The Man we know as Savior, RC & the chosen who have gone before us, actually are IN THE PRESENCE OF this very moment. He can hear what Jesus' voice sounds like, and see the Great "I Am" every minute of forever. He doesn't even have day or night up there. I wonder if they sleep. I wonder if the sound of celestial music is the only sound, or what language they speak. Do they speak all languages now? Do they have breakfast? What do their teeth look like? What is it like to live absolutely perfectly and not even be faced with a single temptation in heaven? Not even feel a slight chill? Temperature always perfect, and I bet no snow. I wonder if Jesus walks over to His people or if they walk over to them, and if so, do they have to wait in line to speak to Him? Undoubtedly I'd think we would all swarm Him. I bet we would not have questions as to why certain things on this earth got so bad, because I don't know if He will give us all our memories of earth. How could He? It would be painful to reflect down on (I think) how brutal and vicious it is down here. It's so dirty and self serving. It's ugly and cold, with litter and potholes down here, dirty theft and speeding cars, people hating one another, and so many who are so sick they just want to die. I have led a very unfavorable life of misfortune. My life has never been "good" as it has always been full of anxiety, fear, etc. People blame people for these negative feelings, but you can only do so much to change it when there's so much destruction, suffering, pain and fighting to survive that we're surrounded by. I wonder if RC can see earth from there or how far the angels can see. Or if they have chocolate. Ah, what it will be like! We must all await the grand day of holiness when we will be in His Almighty and Supreme presence! I can't wait!

God is sovereign and that is why we pray. The act of praying is in itself an acknowledgement that we are not sovereign but that God alone is sovereign. He is sovereign over all things and that we are all utterly dependent on Him for all things. We don't pray in order to change God's will but rather to acknowledge how we all need His will to be done in every aspect of our lives. For apart from Him, we can do nothing... for in Him we live and move and have our being. Whether one likes it or not, even the most hardened atheist depends on God for his very next heartbeat. But the atheist will not acknowledge this. How blessed and privileged God's children are for having eyes and hearts now opened to acknowledge God's sovereign Lordship over all things. Thank you LORD Jesus for paying the price so that sinners now declared saints, can forever draw near with confidence to the throne of grace. Holy Spirit, please continue to teach us how to pray so that in every aspect of our lives, God and God alone is glorified. Dear Heavenly Father, thank you so much for this great privilege of acknowledging the triune God's sovereign lordship over all things. My Mom has been in a nursing home for a few months now, she ended up getting covid. They sent her the hospital and put her in ICU, in truth, as sick as she had been we had prepared for the worse.. long story short.. they put her in a normal room and she's doing better at this point.. When I prayed for her I didn't want her to die.. but I also know she suffers a lot. She's not "out of the woods" so they like to say in hospitals but.. she's still with us for the time being. We pray to God because it is a relationship with Him. Our conversation with Him. He is our heavenly Fathr. Prayers are powerful. God created Eden . He created Adam and Eve. He also created animals. Imagine hugging lions and bears then? What more having a deep relationship with God. I love the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Prayers are my life. Be blessed.
No such thing as the "trinity". The trinity was dreamed up by Catholics around the time of the Council of Nicea in 325AD. In the case of Hezekiah, (Isa.38:1-4) God told him that he(the king) should die and never live anymore. But when Hezekiah prayed, the scenario has been changed, King Hezekiah got additional 15 years of life, hence, God changed His mind, (same instance happened in the land of Neniveh). I think our prayers influence God response so as His mind and or decision.

God's will to carryout salvation is his ultimate plan. That will never change. When we pray for ourselves is a different it has nothing to do with his ultimate plan. His will for us is that we include Him in all that we act on to better ourselves spiritually and in earthly matters like our careers, investments, studies and so on. We do not pray that God gives us everything at hand, but that He may grant us the opportunity and increase our knowledge to continue to be self sufficient, but still understand that He grants us the ability to do so. I hated God for many years for not giving me what I wanted. As I grew older I saw how what I wanted did not make me happy. I wanted to be an architect for a long time. After achieving my goals and practicing for many years, I ended up being a carpenter. Who knew? God did. I now try and follow closer to His footsteps. While I may not be far from where I started, I am closer to where I want to be... with Jesus worshipping at His feet.

When you think of it from the perspective that when He chose you in eternity past, your election is secure and none can pluck you from His hand, I think that it should be reassuring.... 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. @@patricklhmoore1173 but that means at the same time , God also chose many of our human brothers and sisters for damnation, for no reason or fault of their own. No amount of mysterious divine purpose can ever make that an act of love. I do not believe in the God of extreme Calvinism. God provides the means for salvation for all who will look him him and live.
@@kylebarney3126 It may sound harsh, if your focus is on human brotherhood, but the Bible states clearly in several instances (not Calvinism or any other “ism”) that not every human is to be called a son of God. As you rightly said, all who look to Him will live, the fact that not ALL will look to Him and thus will NOT have their name written in the book of life is not Calvinism, it’s biblical. I would caution that it’s not exactly reasonable for the creation to question how the Creator decides to do use the vessel.

I don’t question the creator, I question humans who turned the Bible into a literal, legalistic book of salvation history, rather than the inspired word of God containing literary and rhetorical devices mean to both praise God and tell of how much God wants to dwell with his people. John Macarthur has a great book regarding prayer called Knowing God. I highly recommend it. It is all about using the Lord's prayer as an outline for our extended prayers and is available on Audible.

This modern day prince of pastors fought the dark powers of Satan during the best years of his life. He could've spent his later life retired but he kept at it (like all the greats) and begged and pleaded for people to listen, always ready to teach people the way to Christ.
I'm my opinion, he must have one special blessing walking amongst Christ right now. He's been up there for a couple years. The grandeur he must be experiencing is undoubtedly far beyond our wildest imaginations. What a dream it would be to someday accompany him with the great, all Supreme, Almighty God of our universe.

I raised up 4 truly beautiful boys to men. They were my life and I adored each one. While still young " 24" my 3rd born son Timothy fell 80 feet from a tree. Devastated I turned to God for help, for peace. Six weeks later my 2nd son, Matthew, who was very close to Timothy, took his life with a gun to his beautiful sweet head. I so needed God with me. Now, years later, my youngest son Dane, whom I have been especially close to, got sick and is now gone from me. My heart is so sick, so broken. I very much need peace in my soul. Through the pandemic, I started to listen to RC Sproul and man does this man love the Lord and His Word. I love how well he explains and shares his wisdom with us. The power of God is really upon RC Sproul through these lectures and explanation. So refreshing to hear the pure Word of God being explained rather than all the prosperity teaching that has so filled youtube these days.

Talking with God benefits us, and pleases the Lord our father. He knows and commands what is best for us.
When I think of a magnificent and powerful preacher like RC, I think to myself.... he has been with the Lord Almighty Himself, for a few years now. For more than 900 days he has gotten to experience the sound of trumpets, the bright light of glory, the paradise he always taught of but never got to see until his grand entrance into his forever. Imagine what he's experiencing. I wonder if he is acquainted well with certain angels specifically, spending more time with some than others; what it looks like when he travels from one end to the other of heaven, and what Christ really looks like. Think of it! The Man we know as Savior, RC & the chosen who have gone before us, actually are IN THE PRESENCE OF this very moment. He can hear what Jesus' voice sounds like, and see the Great "I Am" every minute of forever. He doesn't even have day or night up there. I wonder if they sleep. I wonder if the sound of celestial music is the only sound, or what language they speak. Do they speak all languages now? Do they have breakfast? What do their teeth look like? What is it like to live absolutely perfectly and not even be faced with a single temptation in heaven? Not even feel a slight chill? Temperature always perfect, and I bet no snow. I wonder if Jesus walks over to His people or if they walk over to them, and if so, do they have to wait in line to speak to Him? Undoubtedly I'd think we would all swarm Him. I bet we would not have questions as to why certain things on this earth got so bad, because I don't know if He will give us all our memories of earth. How could He? It would be painful to reflect down on (I think) how brutal and vicious it is down here. It's so dirty and self serving. It's ugly and cold, with litter and potholes down here, dirty theft and speeding cars, people hating one another, and so many who are so sick they just want to die. I have led a very unfavorable life of misfortune. My life has never been "good" as it has always been full of anxiety, fear, etc. People blame people for these negative feelings, but you can only do so much to change it when there's so much destruction, suffering, pain and fighting to survive that we're surrounded by.
I wonder if RC can see earth from there or how far the angels can see. Or if they have chocolate.
Ah, what it will be like! We must all await the grand day of holiness when we will be in His Almighty and Supreme presence! I can't wait!

If you have a God, you’re not God Almighty
God is sovereign and that is why we pray. The act of praying is in itself an acknowledgement that we are not sovereign but that God alone is sovereign. He is sovereign over all things and that we are all utterly dependent on Him for all things.
We don't pray in order to change God's will but rather to acknowledge how we all need His will to be done in every aspect of our lives. For apart from Him, we can do nothing... for in Him we live and move and have our being.
Whether one likes it or not, even the most hardened atheist depends on God for his very next heartbeat. But the atheist will not acknowledge this. How blessed and privileged God's children are for having eyes and hearts now opened to acknowledge God's sovereign Lordship over all things.
Thank you LORD Jesus for paying the price so that sinners now declared saints, can forever draw near with confidence to the throne of grace. Holy Spirit, please continue to teach us how to pray so that in every aspect of our lives, God and God alone is glorified. He has written enough books and preached enough messages that if you go back and listen and take to heart, you will be confident to deal with whatever comes your way because you have more than enough scripture at your disposal that has been exposited properly. My Mom has been in a nursing home for a few months now, she ended up getting covid. They sent her the hospital and put her in ICU, in truth, as sick as she had been we had prepared for the worse.. long story short.. they put her in a normal room and she's doing better at this point.. When I prayed for her I didn't want her to die.. but I also know she suffers a lot. She's not "out of the woods" so they like to say in hospitals but.. she's still with us for the time being. This study was perfect for me today.. Thank you so much.

You pray so that you ears can hear what your heart is praying for. You worship and praise God for what he has done, that strengthens your faith in Him. People can complicate simple things. God is not a slot machine that you approach only when you want something. God yearn to be in a relationship with you, where both matters.

You can read exodus and also other books where Angek of YHWH is referred to as God and speaks as God read Genesis where there is the spirit of God.
You quoted John, John opens by saying in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God verse 14 the word became flesh and dwelled among us. The very verse u quoted John 17 3 is not even in context read the next verses the 5th verse says And now, o father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I HAD WITH THEE BEFORE THE WORLD WAS.
There are so many verses in the bible that explain Jesus is God. Jesus himself said I and the father are one, he said he who looked at me has looked at the father. He claimed to be the son of man in the book of Daniel which shares power with God. He even said before abraham was I AM which you can ho to exodus and see that the angel of YHWH in the burning Bush revealed his name as I AM.
The Jews even tried to kill him and he said for which of my good works do u stone me and they said it I'd not for your good works but that you a man are claiming to be God, even the Jews understood he was claiming to be God. Even the prophecy In isiah his name being Emanuel which means God with us can explain to you who Jesus is. You can read in the bible where the holy spirit is called God like the time when ananya kept some money for himself and Peter clearly calls holy spirit God. And so on. Jesus died a human death and according to the bible death is when u lose your body and your soul changes location to either hell or heaven so yes jesus is God and yes he died a human death and he is still God. You need to at least consider reading whole chapter before using a verse and make it say what you want it to say, it easy for some1 to twist somethings, and what about all the other verses like some I mentioned that stand against you?

We pray to God because it is a relationship with Him. Our conversation with Him. He is our heavenly Fathr. Prayers are powerful. God created Eden . He created Adam and Eve. He also created animals. Imagine hugging lions and bears then? What more having a deep relationship with God. I love the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Prayers are my life. Be blessed.
No such thing as the "trinity". The trinity was dreamed up by Catholics around the time of the Council of Nicea in 325AD. In the case of Hezekiah, (Isa.38:1-4) God told him that he(the king) should die and never live anymore. But when Hezekiah prayed, the scenario has been changed, King Hezekiah got additional 15 years of life, hence, God changed His mind, (same instance happened in the land of Neniveh).

God's will to carryout salvation is his ultimate plan. That will never change. When we pray for ourselves is a different it has nothing to do with his ultimate plan. His will for us is that we include Him in all that we act on to better ourselves spiritually and in earthly matters like our careers, investments, studies and so on. We do not pray that God gives us everything at hand, but that He may grant us the opportunity and increase our knowledge to continue to be self sufficient, but still understand that He grants us the ability to do so. I hated God for many years for not giving me what I wanted. As I grew older I saw how what I wanted did not make me happy. I wanted to be an architect for a long time. After achieving my goals and practicing for many years, I ended up being a carpenter. Who knew? God did. I now try and follow closer to His footsteps. While I may not be far from where I started, I am closer to where I want to be... with Jesus worshipping at His feet.
Because we are sinners and we NEED His guidance and support to help us with sin.

No amount of mysterious divine purpose can ever make that an act of love. I do not believe in the God of extreme Calvinism. God provides the means for salvation for all who will look him him and live.
@@kylebarney3126 It may sound harsh, if your focus is on human brotherhood, but the Bible states clearly in several instances (not Calvinism or any other “ism”) that not every human is to be called a son of God. As you rightly said, all who look to Him will live, the fact that not ALL will look to Him and thus will NOT have their name written in the book of life is not Calvinism, it’s biblical.
I would caution that it’s not exactly reasonable for the creation to question how the Creator decides to do use the vessel.

I don’t question the creator, I question humans who turned the Bible into a literal, legalistic book of salvation history, rather than the inspired word of God containing literary and rhetorical devices mean to both praise God and tell of how much God wants to dwell with his people. I simply don’t believe God would do the things to his children that Calvinist logic asserts.

John Macarthur has a great book regarding prayer called Knowing God. I highly recommend it. It is all about using the Lord's prayer as an outline for our extended prayers and is available on Audible.
