- President Joe Biden & Jill depart London after attending Queen Elizabeth's funeral. The Americans left aboard Air Force 1 after a few days travelling in The Beast armoured limousine.
The motorcades of the US Secret Service, White House staff and press were escorted by Metropolitan Police's Special Escort Group. The VIP aircraft are operated by the US Air Force from Joint Base Andrews.

The British government did a wonderful job during the funeral for the Queen. Also, the British people were very respectful waiting in enormously long lines, no pushing, fighting or arguments. My hat is off to you for your since of pride and respectability. Very sad but wonderful event!
Not disagreeing but there was a guy who tried to get to the coffin and was pulled away by security.

You could not push in line to see the coffin because they had a number system and only the corresponding numbers where let in at the door. As for people watching, it's the usual crowd squeezing in to the front or lifting people on shoulders or getting Camara, phones or tablets right in the way of people behind them blocking there view. People running down the streets behind the crowd and then pushing there way to the front to get a video then jumping out the do it over and over. Not much civil unrest would of been possible streats lined with police and military plus hundreds or Royal guards with live machine guns and some of the best of British troops. If you did anything to disrupt the march you would be shot dead.

It's amazing how well organized the security detail has been for so many world leaders coming into one place. The British sure know how to take care of things. The funeral was beautiful!!! RIP your majesty!!!

I have been awe struck with the dignity and respect of the British people. This was truly an amazing funeral for a beautiful and faithful Queen, who was loved and respected all over the World. It was a true testament to her faith in Jesus Christ and the way she served her Country.

Her death isn't just the passing of a Monarch, it is the passage of an historical era. The Queen's death was one of the last tedious links to an epoch unparalleled in human history...WW2, THE COLD WAR, BREAKUP OF THE EMPIRE, REALIGNMENT OF NATIONS,ETC. Am I the only one to notice ... we just had all the Royal family very slowly walking through London with millions of people around ... and when the US president leaves he needs 10 ton armour protection, multiple police outriders etc etc .....
Yes, maybe it's blown out of proportion, but theoretically the US President is the most powerful person in the world, technically speaking... US and Secret Service protocol for the president was always extra, in addition of the country of visiting, in-place security measures.
The royals play a different roll and seem to be loved and respected. I sure hate to say this being from the US, but politics being politics, it’s likely he has made a lot of enemies since taking office, and needs extra security.

The way our POTUS travels changed drastically after Kennedy was assassinated. They basically travel with an entire hospital on wheels, in addition to his staff and the Secret Service . And the POTUS can only travel by car in the armored limo they call, The Beast. It’s kinda fascinating and the definition of, “rolling deep.” Lol.

The president of Turkey was mad that they didn't allow his lemosen into the UK, he refused to attend. Instead he came to New York early for the general assembly meeting.

As a spectator of all this, watching from the U.S., I am awe struck at the amount of respect the British people have for their monarch. I dont think you would get that kind of turnout if our President died. I think the one exception was for JFK. Thanks for capturing these shots of the motorcade and AF 1.

As a Brit and a veteran that served our Queen for over 25 years, I am touched that the Leader of the free world came to the funeral. I am also touched by the kind comments that continue to come from the other side of the pond. The Queen was someone very special and I don't doubt that the strong bond between the UK and the USA remains as it is in no small part to HMQ.

I did not see his chase cars, Police motorcycles and the route to the airport cleared for him like we are used to seeing him in Kenya. Did any of you, Britons see our President?
