Dude this is it. I get if you wanna sell the "healthy" cereal but don't lie to me about it tasting AS GOOD as regular cereal. Absolutely bamboozled by luxury brand cereal
When comparing calories per gram compared to regular cereal, it’s basically the exact same as the “regular” kind. I find it kind of odd because one of their marketing points is how many calories it is per serving. Really the only advantage you’re getting out of this is more protein. But you can easily fix that by mixing whey protein with your cereal…
@@tylerrose4416 The cereal is lighter so the volume in your bowl is greater. Sources: I’ve bought Magic Spoon. The only problem with it is that it doesn’t leave you feeling full, like regular cereal, but at least your don’t get that sugar/carb crash.
@@mikechoto21 Just figured a lot of folks could get confused and buy it, then wind up in a lot of pain from trace gluten. Some folks just avoid gluten from a preference, and some producers forget for others even trace amounts can trigger a serious allergic reaction.
@@KellyStarks I don't have celiac but I do seem to have some kind of problem with gluten, so I don't get why they'd make their cereal in a facility where it can get contaminated.
@@RedRoseSeptember22 It’s a confusion between 2 markets. There is one (I think larger) market is for folks avoiding gluten as mostly a diet fad like Keto or Vegan. They arnt actually going to be hurt by tiny quantities of gluten from some floor residue. They want to cut out gluten, but cutting the quantity down by a factor of a hundred or a thousand is more then good enough for them. The second market is folks needing to avoid gluten for medical reasons. Like celiac which generates a allergic like reaction triggering the immune system to attack the bodies tissues and damaging organs and digestive system. Market one is like vegans. They may prefer not eating meat products, or have some sensitivity to meat fats or whatever, but a tiny bit of meat fat forming a smear on a table top your preparing a Vega dish on is not going to make the vegan customer swell up from inflammation, feel like they were beaten up, and have diarrhea that night. Given until recently most doctors laughed off the idea of celiac being that big of a thing. It’s not that surprising many companies don’t get that customers really need almost medical grade purity. That say you bake the gluten stuff in one room with one set of cleaned equipment, the normal backing in another with a air barrier (closed doors, no fans cycling air between, etc. or restaurants which do similar and have separate plates etc. .. or the companies may just do the math and figure market 1 is much cheaper to produce for, and not go to the expense of trying for market 2. Magic spoon may eaither have not realized the different markets, or only going for market 1 now and maybe if they sell enough they can get a totally non gluten production facility and sell certified gluten-free later for market 2
Bought the cereal as a test for a friend (Fruity, Frosted, Cocoa, and Blueberry flavors)...I only tried fruity. Thought it was good and too sweet for me, but the friend enjoyed it. I'm justifying the purchase as a gift since the friend has those nagging health concerns which this products meets
@@InaEsin as I recall, the after-taste wasn't strong or unpleasant as the "pink package sweetener", and not bitter. I thought it was just too sweet for my taste
Yes! I ordered the Peanut Butter and didn't like it. It was very salty and for some reason the cereal made my teeth and gums feel tingly. Very odd and not worth the money.
Thank you for your honest review! I was seriously considering biting the bullet and trying this outrageously priced cereal but everything you said is exactly what I would have looked for and probably what I would have thought so thank you for saving me the unnecessary expense, wasted time and trouble!
So glad it was helpful! Seems like a lot of people like it and I assume it's because they eat a lot of things that have added whey protein and are used to that taste. I don't and that bugged me the most, also of course the price.
I have insulinemia and prediabetes so sugar is a big no for me. Even ripe fruit makes me ill. But your review has actually convinced me to try Magic Spoon! 😃 I’m in the UK, so it may even be a bit more expensive for me, however it sounds like an easy breakfast - which is very difficult when you can’t have or have to substitute oatmeal, bread, etc. Also, people who eat low carb foods like me would know that 3/5 is actually veeery good. 😅 Most American foods are too sweet for me but I would add some sweetener in the milk for the cocoa and peanut ones, maybe even cocoa powder - easy. ☺️ Thanks for your review!
@@avooneverything that protein powder n just cereal after taste it probably cost them 2 or 3 dollars to make then boom selling it for 10 dollars insane price good review
Not sponsored, not affiliated ect. I didn’t want to spend that much on a cereal but was curious found a promo code and bought it. If you are particularly health conscious and have substituted healthier cleaner options in other aspects of your diet, eating this cereal does taste like a real treat. Think of it like eating a brownie flavored protein bar.. is it really going to taste like a brownie absolutely not but is it yummy considering the nutritional value, absolutely yes.
I totally agree with you! I just bought this and I just cant get over that taste. Thanks for the unbiased review, I also had trouble finding normal reviews on it, but just decided to go for it. I'll just buy some regular cereal next time, alot cheaper and more tasty.
I just tried magic spoon for the first time today and it's good. I mean it tastes very good and it is quite surprising how good it tastes given the fact that it has so little sugar. There is this odd thing with the texture though where it's almost too crunchy. It seems like it can't get soggy. I know that sounds like a good thing but I'm someone who actually likes my cereal to be a bit soggy. I don't want it to be a sloppy mess but I like the heterogeneity of some pieces being soggy and some pieces being crunchy. This though seems to be somehow resistant to getting soggy. But that's not that big of a deal because it still tastes surprisingly good. I will say though that the price is almost a non-starter from the beginning. I mean $10 a box is just... unreasonable.
None of those should be trusted, too many fraudulent testimonials. My ex's niece, under her married name, posted a fawning review on her mother's company website. I laughed when I read it because I recognized who wrote it, but prospective customers would never know her connection to the business' owner.
Their website claims 5 servings per box, which they allude to meaning 5 bowls. I tried my damnedest to determine just how many ounces of cereal that really was, but as you can see, it's not much cereal at all. For normal people that bags contain about try bowls of cereal. I'm not a rabbit lol. So in reality you're likely getting a total of 8 bowls of cereal for $40. That's not "$1.95" a bowl, that's $5 a bowl and it's not worth the price regardless, for most people I would venture.
$1.95 a bowl is a bit pricey, too. I get the bagged cereals. A 2 lb. 4 oz. bag of Crispy Rice cereal is $4.98 where I'm from. That's 25 servings(1 1/2 cups is a serving.) So, with tax, it's 25¢ a bowl.
Watching you take a bite and literally grimace instantly turned me off of ever, ever trying these. It's because they're so overloaded with protein that they have that after taste. I'm sure of it.
I am so appreciative of the honest review. I’m very skeptical of these constant positive reviews, and I’ve heard this cereal promoted on so many different podcasts and youtube sites, but it sounded a bit too perfect to be either genuinely tasty or truly healthy. While the ingredients seem mostly okay, this is still a highly processed food, and the sweetener Allulose is fairly new and unstudied. Really, though, it is the lack of simple ingredients that’s troubling to me. Why spend so much for “healthy” cereal that’s made to resemble sugary, overly-processed kids’ cereals in appearance and flavor? The siren call of “high protein, low net carbs” does not necessarily mean it is healthy or part of a balanced diet. Thank you so much for not promoting the hype and for being honest about your experience with Magic Spoon. You rock! 👍🏻
Why they’d choose to resemble things that people are nostalgic over, already have developed a taste for, and would want when deciding what food to buy, is all pretty self explainable. The rest seems iffy or sketch. Shouldn’t need this damn laundry list of “low this” or “no that”, only a few stark changes would really make it a worthwhile thing for such a cereal, and get people a lot healthier in the long run
@@Jonathan-A.C. I agree with you on the advertising side - folks want to “have their cake and eat it, too,” especially if they are being told that yummy birthday cake is actually super healthy and made for adults, and really good for you. I grew up in a family where our cereal choices were Post Raisin Bran, All-Bran, Shredded Wheat/Wheat-A-Bix, and Malt-O-Meal or Cream of Wheat, so I don’t have the same nostalgia for cereals advertised to kids. My parents weren’t strict about food, it’s just we are what they ate, and that included cereals. We didn’t even get to chew gum unless we were going up in a plane (to help equalize the pressure in our ears). I’m always wary, though, of the way things are advertised by “influencers,” so it’s always nice to find honest reviews of products that are otherwise being promoted by paid shills.
This review is EXACTLY my thoughts. I have diabetes and hypercholesterolemia so i cant have carbs or fats. I wanted to try the cereal...but wow was i disappointed. I would disagree on the fruity one. I thought that one to be best followed by cocoa. But i got cookies and cream not frosted amd OMG regret.but i do love that healthy cereals are being thought of because cereal is INSANELY sugary and bad for you.
I like magic spoon. I just add sweetners like from whole earth if I want it sweeter. I just add various flavors like cocoa or peanut butter powder or cinnamon in the plan Frosted one, as the flavors are light in tasting sometime. Yet pretty close to Cheerios. I like the Catalina cinnamon too. Could always add some to the magic spoon cereal and some fats like macadamia nuts or avocado oil to the milk. By the way, if I don’t have the alternative nut milk....I just water down my heavy cream or half and half. I add water, shake it up. Just as good. For years I had skim milk, so it isn’t a big deal. Btw, I first add the water to the milk and shake it up...then add it to the cereal. I don’t add it while the milk is in the bowl with the cereal.
You see as soon as he started saying you had to put additives into the cereal to make it taste good you lost me, because I’m not gonna pay $10 a box for something I have to add flavoring to and it’s a small box of that. Five small bowls of cereal get real.
I want to thank you for being Brutally honest. Your reviews contained ALL the information that I consider for a product, all the way down to the cheap box. I would be extremely upset with a company that charges me $10 a box and the box is cheaply made. I will not be wasting my money on this product because I was iffy about their claims and your confirmation of my views helped so much. Thank you
Thank you SO much for providing this review - I had also been intrigued by the commercials and am always looking for ways to eat healthier while still enjoying the food. I never got around to checking the prices, so to hear that these are so expensive for so few servings was disappointing in itself. But even if they were more affordable, to hear they have that protein powder taste to them would still be a total deal-breaker for me.
I order magic spoon and I love fruity and cocoa the best. I had gastric sleeve surgery and was sad I had to give up cereal. This is my breakfast and quick meal lifesaver.
I just ordered some because of the reason that I’m a diabetic and I can’t have the regular name brand sugary cereal. I really don’t like the choices that I have in cereal in my local grocery store. I don’t like special k I might as well tear up a cardboard box and put milk in a bowl and eat it. I don’t like Rice Krispies it’s just bland I don’t like Cheerios it’s the same as Rice Krispies. I tried 2 different keto cereal’s I might as well have just threw my money in the garbage on those 2 purchases. So I’m really hoping that magic spoon will come through for me.
just got 4 boxes for my sister who has a lot of dietary restrictions, they're alright to me but she likes them. Where I live, the cereals are not nearly as cheap as in the US so it's reasonably priced for me.
If you have money and need a healthy alternative to cereal get it. I don’t consume much sugar anyways only the necessary amount so anything with too much sugar doesn’t sit right with me. This is the one cereal that is actually “healthy”
I’d love to try this, but I don’t eat cereal very often, just whenever I get a random craving. $10 a box just wouldn’t be efficient for me, I end up losing half my boxes to staleness because of how infrequently I eat it.
Thanks for this review. I've been on the fence about ordering from these guys and this review pretty much kept me from making a huge mistake. $40 for cereal is ridiculous if it doesn't taste great.
Great review. I recently purchased this cereal because I had a coupon code and I kinda regret it after seeing the portion size recommendation and the size of the bags for the price.
alot of my favourite youtubers are sponsored by this product and make it seem great but this review totally changed my mind about getting it. Thank you for the review
I would definitely not be up for paying the $10 price for a box of cereal 😬 I've been curious about this brand so thanks for testing it out. Good constructive feedback for them too 👏
I bought the peanut butter. I use half whipping cream and water with a little liquid Splenda. Not bad and doesn't raise my blood sugar. Only down side is it's $10.00 a box for a small box, but nice to have a bowl of cereal every once in a while.
Addition to my original comment. Okay, I finally opened the Honey nut flavor. TO ME it does NOT taste at all like "the" honey nut cereal from cheerios. BUT it also does not have an after taste (TO ME ) so it just tastes like a regular lightly sweet cereal that does not easily dissolve in milk. I probably wont purchase that flavor because i love the fruity and frosty so much. Happy keto-ing!
I just ordered 6 boxes for me and my daughter since we like to eat healthy and miss eating cereal. I do keto. It’s very expensive but I will give it a try and let you know. Thanks
I’ve thought about trying and I wouldn’t mind trying one at $10 but no way I’m spending $40 on 4 without trying one…bad marketing I think. Thank you for your honest review and saving me money!!
Wonderful review! Honest, and quite neutral, meaning unbiased. I trust your word and won't be trying this cereal due to "after taste" factors and "much higher pricing" although it's hard to tell the level of food chemistry was spent in this product. Thanks for the review!
thank you for the kind comment! I see how some people may like it, but it wasn't for me. And I think you're right about the high level of food chemistry lol
I've been trying to lead a more low-carb lifestyle for about two-and-a-half years now. I got the maple waffle ones a while back. I actually liked them, but agree about it not being sweet enough. Remedy: I added a tsp. of allulose, like how I used to add sugar to unsweetened cereals like rice krispies, chex cereals, and corn flakes back when I was a kid. It definitely satisfied my cereal craving. I also agree that the price point is WAY too high. I got mine at Grocery Outlet for about $6, so I was okay with that just to try the product for myself. Still not great, but better than $10. I would probably get this every once in a while, but try not to eat it every day. Maybe... xD
I love it but quit eating sugar/junk food so maybe my palate’s standards are low…anyhow too expensive but happy the product exists and hoping it leads to some cheaper alternatives
When you listed all the things that weren't in the cereal, I was thinking that it sounded like a hard NO, haha. Sounds like an outrageous price unless you need that to fit your specific lifestyle. How do you find some of these products ?! Haha, I've never heard of this before. 😂
I know right! I feel lucky that I don't have dietary restrictions that would require me to eat these "healthy" versions of regular food! I usually hear about products like that on podcasts or if they sponsor youtubers that I watch. I heard about this company for the first time even before I had a YT channel, but I didn't want to spend the money to try it haha, the channel gives me an excuse!
Exactly. I don’t have a gluten allergy or anything against grains, and i feel like I’m paying for that in the price. I’d much rather pay less for a cereal that is not gluten free or grain free.
When they say "Natural Flavor", that could mean anything. Even Carmine which comes from the Cochineal (red dye from those dried, ground up bugs.) But, hey, if you like lobster, crabs, mud bugs, etc., then you're eating bugs. I love them.
I really am tempted to try these, as a new celiac I miss cereal. The stupid amount of wheat in food is really unfortunate. It’s in everything even just corn puffs.
Grain free, bro steer clear. My grandmother once bought grain free bread. My dad ate it and it tasted disgusting. He then took the remaining loaf and used it as a sponge to wipe up water. Then he rang it out. And it was bone dry. Just tells you what they put in that shit. I’m sure he cereal isn’t as bad
You always have the most creative videos!! Where do you find all these products, lol?? I love it! Wow, $10 for cereal?! That's crazy!! They really could've sold it in better packaging for that price. So weird about the reviews on the website too!! I'm surprised the chocolate cereal wasn't that good. I would've guessed that was the best flavor!! Different cereal shapes would've been fun because they really do all look like Cheerios, haha! I don't really like fruity cereal either. The frosted kind pleasantly surprised me!! Who knew that would be your favorite :)
Haha I usually hear about them in podcasts 😁 I knoww! I was so looking forward to the cacao flavor and especially since it smelled so nice! Honestly I'm just craving normal chocolate cereal after that 🤭
Great points on the box, cereal shape and the sus reviews. I rarely eat junk food so all of Magic Spoon cereals taste super sweet to me, taste bud sweetness reset. Thanks!
I expected them to taste super sweet because that's always the case with artificial sweeteners for me, but weirdly they weren't sweet enough in my case lol Anyway - not for me, didn't even finish them after I filmed this video
Wow! This was the best review I have ever seen. You literally hit every single point. Even points some wouldn't think of hitting. It was so detailed I feel like I've already tried the cereal 😂🤣 Thank you!
I just heard about this cereal and was very interested in buying it since I eat cereal for breakfast 7 days a week. Despite the outrageous price for a 7oz box I thought it was worth a try. That is, until I watched your review. I appreciated your detailed honesty as well as the videos of your initial reactions to tasting these cereals for the first time. Thanks for saving me $40! I'll go back to eating Special K Protein topped with Cocoa Pebbles!
i stumbled upon it from a sponser from another YTer i enjoy, and bought it right away since ive been craving sugary cereal for a bit now and am not good with my money... 4 boxes should arrive saturday and after seeing your review im not super worried....ive often not had too much in the way of issues with taste when it comes to things like this, i figure it might take some getting used to with the chalky/drywall/whey protein aftertaste but hopefully itll be something i can enjoy when i want a snack that isnt terrible for me... only real issue is thet price/ammount...per another comment whne someone was doing the math on how much serial is ACTUALLY in the box...they estimated about 8 bowls per 40$...that's really not much, esp considering me who would commonly eat several bowls of more sugary cereals...maybe the aftertaste is a blessing in that area XD
You know I'm really glad that I watched this. I respect her opinion. I have been trying to decide if this product is something I wanted to try but yeah $10 I don't know bout that. Also to have a weird aftertaste I'm not feeling that either.
Thanks for watching & commenting! I feel like most people are not bothered by the protein powder aftertaste, if you eat a lot of protein bars you probably won't even notice it. I just can't stand it lol and that's why I don't eat a ton of protein bars.
One thing I tried was mixing the peanut butter and chocolate flavors (to slow down consumption if both and get more bang for the money), and those two flavor dps blend very well. I take my cereal in a coffee cup without milk, and I like it this way. Definitely a change from raisin bran :)
It was definitely interesting to try, I was curious about them for a while. I don't discourage anyone from trying them, but it definitely won't be a repeat buy from me.
The phases of your face after trying the cocoa one were amazing. You could see every stage that you mentioned, from liking it at first to really not liking it by the end
I ordered a four-box bundle a few weeks ago after seeing a paid sponsorship here on UA-cam (that should have been a red flag) and wasn't that impressed. The flavors were OK (cinnamon, maple, fruity and peanut butter were the flavors I picked), but not worth $40, I wouldn't even say worth $20. I tried each flavor once and haven't been back to eat them since. I did get a chuckle about your box comment because my husband said the same thing about them being cheap and flimsy. I think before ordering, had I come across more honest reviews like yours, I would have reconsidered.
This cereal isn’t really designed for people who eat large amounts of sugar and other carbs. It likely won’t be sweet enough for them. Keto people love this stuff because they’ve re-calibrated their taste buds to what they should be: finding berries and other non artificially sweetened stuff sweet enough.
I disagree, I don't eat a lot of sugar and they still weren't sweet enough for me. I also was on low carb diet for years and I've consumed a lot of keto snacks and desserts and a lot of them are extremely sweet to me.
@@avooneverything As you probably know, keto people usually eat less than 20 g of sugar and other carbs per day, so that’s the threshold I’m talking about. So many products have added sugar, so it’s very easy to go beyond 20 g a day. You become hyper sensitive to sweetness of all kinds on keto.
I ordered mine still waiting, Im on keto so I don’t really get hungry but I do like cereal from time to time and I can eat this when I crave cereal as a snack… if it’s not sweet for me I’ll just add some xylitol sweetener tastes exactly like sugar
The 11-14 grams of protein really made me interested in their brand but when I saw their price, I couldn’t see it as reasonable. I’ll just stick with kashi cereal for my muscle building needs since it’s 7-14 grams of protein AND $3.
Thanks for such a good review(and excellent English). I don’t plan to subscribe to this cereal or even buy their $40 sample kit. Waiting for them to offer single boxes at $10 or at retail stores for $10 or less. Obviously they’re testing the waters as far as marketing methods and price range. In test marketing people will sometimes want to pay more for a specialty food, especially one that meets their dietary restrictions. Unfortunately we often have to pay more to eat healthier, but it can save us medical costs in the future. I agree with others who have said they figure that Trader Joe’s (Aldi Corp.) will soon have their own version. Most people who shop at TJ’s aren’t omnivores. Perhaps Magic Spoon will do private labeling to retailers like TJ’s. Reality check: since they expect people to buy 4 boxes, imagine if you can’t or don’t want the peanut butter flavor. You can give the box away but that means you are actually paying $13.33 for each of the 3 boxes. What i resent about high priced healthier food is that they are exploiting or punishing the consumer because of their healthier food choices. Example: a small box of gluten-free rice crackers is $5. That’s a 7 ounce package. Basically about 6 ounces of cheap rice flour. A rip-off. Part of their reason is that the first year of their crackers being in stores they will lose about 40% loss based on products going unsold and shipped back to them. They are trying make the consumer pay for their losses. As we’ve seen with other healthier foods, the price goes down as other same or similar products come out. I’ve seen that with almond milk, vegan cheese, vegan ice cream, almond butter and many other non-dairy, non-peanut products. And lastly, there’s one ingredient in these cereals that I am skeptical about: “natural flavors”. They should give full disclosure about what those are. For example, the chocolate flavor might.be 10% cocoa and then a mix of carob or other flavor extracts. If I was allergic to carob I would need to know the hidden, mystery flavor sourcing. Side note: many years ago I worked in an agricultural documentary about cacao, the cocoa bean. One of the places we toured was a commercial factory where they made chocolate cookies . They were using so little actual chocolate that their labeling couldn’t say “ chocolate “, it had to be stated as “chocolatey” or as “fudge” flavored. Big difference! I’m not crazy about eating breakfast cereal unless it’s granola type. If I like this cereal I will probably just add a cup of it to my breakfast smoothie. That makes me wonder if they’ll also sell this in powder form. Comments?
I bought this cereal and I can admit it isn’t bad to me. I have been limiting sugar in my diet for about two years so I really don’t miss the sweetness. The fruity is the BEST! I wouldn’t order any other flavor in the future. Great review!
I’ve only tried the chocolate and the fruit one. I didn’t get the protein powder after taste that you mentioned but I do agree that the chocolate wasn’t that great. The fruit one however was really good. The only thing for me was the price. If I can get protein powder for 30-40 dollars that’s about a dollar per serving then we should be able to get that in a protein cereal.
Since my goals are to mainly be on keto and lose weight this is a great option for me. I agree if your average that you would not like this cereal because your Northstar is different from those that wish to better their lives. Or you have other healthier options…or not. I think that having this cereal every once in a while, it’s still a great “treat” and it’s a “healthy” one so, yes, I would buy it but I would not frequent having a bowl of cereal every day... not part of my diet regiment. Hence, the cost is justifiable as a treat every once in a while. Average people treat themselves to a $20 McDonald’s meal every once in a while but their return on investment is devastating healthwise. Choose wisely.

They arnt actually going to be hurt by tiny quantities of gluten from some floor residue. They want to cut out gluten, but cutting the quantity down by a factor of a hundred or a thousand is more then good enough for them.

Magic spoon may eaither have not realized the different markets, or only going for market 1 now and maybe if they sell enough they can get a totally non gluten production facility and sell certified gluten-free later for market 2

It could be worth it for people who don't eat cereal very often but want a specific nutrition value.
@@juandemarko8348 no. a box of cereal can never be worth $10.
@@voidremoved i get ticked off when a box of cereal costs more than 3 dollars
Its worth it if you love cereal but have diabetes, trust me.
How was the aftertaste?
Thanks for watching! I'm glad it was helpful :))
Omg i loved your facial expression with the first bite 🤣❤️
Haha it was a journey!
Thank you!! This was literally a TRUE review. Thank you for saving me money for our family of 6.
Aw thank you! I'm so happy it was useful:))

just get cheerios its healthy and tastes good
@@avooneverything that protein powder n just cereal after taste it probably cost them 2 or 3 dollars to make then boom selling it for 10 dollars insane price good review
Seems like a lot of people are used to that whey aftertaste, but I can't get over it either lol
I just bought a 2lb. 4 oz. bag of Crispy Rice cereal for $4.98.
It takes a LOT of rice cereal to make a 36 oz. bag.
I'm glad I ran across this revie. I was thinking of making a purchase not now thank you.
Glad it was helpful :)
Thank you for reviewing this. You saved me $40+. I'm doing keto and was about to buy this.
There seem to be a lot of people who like it, but idk, definitely wasn't my cup of tea...
I NEVER ever ever ever everrr trust the reviews on an official website! thanks for your video!
Haha same, nowadays they can filter them any way they want, so I always take them with a grain of salt
That's 25 servings(1 1/2 cups is a serving.)
So, with tax, it's 25¢ a bowl.
Just get regular cereal lol if you don't sit around eating it all day you'll live lol
Pretty sure they are 7 ounce boxes. Huge RIP off. I could eat a whole box in one sitting easy
Watching you take a bite and literally grimace instantly turned me off of ever, ever trying these. It's because they're so overloaded with protein that they have that after taste. I'm sure of it.
I tried a keto cereal from Aldi that I figured was very similar to this.... it tasted fucking horrible and my family agreed. lmao

Thank god for unaffiliated reviews, thanks! Don't change fellow good human.
Thanks for the kind comment!!
Damn I just ordered it! I should have watched this before ordering
The price is definitely a factor holding me back. Plus the only mentions of the brand are usually from podcasts/UA-cam shows with sponsorships.
Sugar cereal is fine in moderation.
Our brains need sugar to function.
And sugar needs salt in order to work at optimal copacity.
Sugar isn't evil.
Cereal is just kibble for humans. Eat whole foods!
@@DarkPulsaterLiteGear For real, I'm reading OPs post, and they have to list a literal paragraph of what to add to make it taste better.

I literally just added the variety pack to my cart ....then decided to check out some reviews. Thanks for saving me $ .
Some people seem to love it, but I definitely wasn't a fan lol Thanks for watching!
Thank you
Thank you so much for the kind comment! Glad my video was helpful:))
So glad it was helpful!
I'd rather have a steak for breakfast. Thank you so much for sharing this review.
Yes, steak & eggs is definitely a superior breakfast 😄
Me, too.
We gunna ignore the amount of milk to cereal ratio used lol
lol that's how I like it, I hate dry cereal
Thank you for being honest!!!✊👍. You can tell by looking at the box that its a rip off. But all you see is paid advertisements. Well done girl💯
Thanks for this review. I've been on the fence about ordering from these guys and this review pretty much kept me from making a huge mistake. $40 for cereal is ridiculous if it doesn't taste great.
For that price, it better be sprinkled in some gold dust. 😉
Great review. I recently purchased this cereal because I had a coupon code and I kinda regret it after seeing the portion size recommendation and the size of the bags for the price.
yes, definitely not a great deal lol
I appreciate the honesty of this review!
I expected the “protein” flavor that you mentioned. That’s why I’m afraid to buy a box, since it seems like they taste “healthy”.
alot of my favourite youtubers are sponsored by this product and make it seem great but this review totally changed my mind about getting it. Thank you for the review
Yes that's why I wanted to try it for myself! Idk some people might genuinely like it, it's definitely not for me though
the serving size is perfectly fine. Serve the cereal with greek yogurt to make it more filling
I would definitely not be up for paying the $10 price for a box of cereal 😬 I've been curious about this brand so thanks for testing it out. Good constructive feedback for them too 👏
yess it's definitely a steep price for cereal 😁I'm glad I was able to test it so you don't have to spend the money!
Thank you for your honest review👍🏻😊
thanks for watching!
My Grocery Outlet sometimes has 1-2 flavors for $5 a box, they’re usually worth it only then in a pinch for travel.
I just ordered 6 boxes for me and my daughter since we like to eat healthy and miss eating cereal. I do keto. It’s very expensive but I will give it a try and let you know. Thanks
Thank you so much for a honest review. So many youtubers are obviously being paid or are hoping for a sponsor.

Thanks for the honest review!
I would say this is aimed more for people into serious fitness and bodybuilding. This is a great buy especially for bodybuilders.
Bodybuilders would just have a few eggs in the morning, WAY more protein and vitamins, and a lot cheaper and healthier too at 25 cents per egg.
@@neoasura I didn't say that it could REPLACE eggs at all. This is better for a quick snack kinda thing.
You’re review mirrors my experience with this cereal. I’ll buy it again purely for the health benefits. But great video!
Pat Contri NesPunk got me convinced to try this cereal, best cereal I've tried in decades, 5 star for me
I've been trying to lead a more low-carb lifestyle for about two-and-a-half years now.
Even Carmine which comes from the Cochineal (red dye from those dried, ground up bugs.)
But, hey, if you like lobster, crabs, mud bugs, etc., then you're eating bugs.
Rice cereals have no gluten at all.
I love Rice Krispies, plain and cocoa.
@@anakelly76512 they are not, they are sweetened with barley malt. So they are not safe for celiacs.

@@avooneverything you're most welcome. I really appreciate your review.
It was fun to try them once, but they're definitely not for me
i stumbled upon it from a sponser from another YTer i enjoy, and bought it right away since ive been craving sugary cereal for a bit now and am not good with my money...
Very well done! I appreciate your honesty. Saved me 40$!
People who would enjoy this?... seems like only UA-camrs who were paid to promote it. Thank you for giving an actual review.
One thing I tried was mixing the peanut butter and chocolate flavors (to slow down consumption if both and get more bang for the money), and those two flavor dps blend very well. I take my cereal in a coffee cup without milk, and I like it this way. Definitely a change from raisin bran :)
Ooh interesting idea! I think I have some left from both & might try that
You might also try the frosted and fruit together. Could enhance the flavor.
Thanks for your honest review!!!

It was definitely interesting to try, I was curious about them for a while. I don't discourage anyone from trying them, but it definitely won't be a repeat buy from me.

Great Honest Review
The phases of your face after trying the cocoa one were amazing. You could see every stage that you mentioned, from liking it at first to really not liking it by the end
Lol it was a journey!
Yes, I feel the same way. I only had each of them once and haven't had the desire to eat them again 😄
This review was great. Thanks so much!
Thank you for the kind comment!
@@avooneverything you’re welcome, sweetheart! Looking forward to seeing more honest reviews
I ordered mine still waiting, Im on keto so I don’t really get hungry but I do like cereal from time to time and I can eat this when I crave cereal as a snack… if it’s not sweet for me I’ll just add some xylitol sweetener tastes exactly like sugar
Thanks! you just saved me 40$ i was going to order but i appreciate your honest review.
Glad I could help!
The 11-14 grams of protein really made me interested in their brand but when I saw their price, I couldn’t see it as reasonable. I’ll just stick with kashi cereal for my muscle building needs since it’s 7-14 grams of protein AND $3.
Plus you can always add an egg or something to your breakfast - way cheaper and cleaner source :)
Comments?
Good review. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
I bought this cereal and I can admit it isn’t bad to me. I have been limiting sugar in my diet for about two years so I really don’t miss the sweetness. The fruity is the BEST! I wouldn’t order any other flavor in the future. Great review!
Glad it's working out for you :))
Thanks, appreciate the review
I’ve only tried the chocolate and the fruit one. I didn’t get the protein powder after taste that you mentioned but I do agree that the chocolate wasn’t that great. The fruit one however was really good. The only thing for me was the price. If I can get protein powder for 30-40 dollars that’s about a dollar per serving then we should be able to get that in a protein cereal.
This was a great review! I recently tried it. I love the cereal 🥣 some better than others. Best is frosted and jelly donuts thus far 💥
Can anyone tell me if this cereal gives them gas? I've tried several other similar products that use lentil protein and caused alot of gas.
@1:17 The range and changes in facial expressions said it all.
Thank you! This was really helpful. An honest review.
I'm glad you think so :))
