    Tyler, if you talk about it, it means that it worths to be watched !! The plot is quite interesting and a korean thriller is always a good news, just to go deeper into this genre that SK is the only one to manage so well. The more i watch, the more i'd be able to answer to that question "why SK is the best to make thrillers ??" which obsesses me for years.
    Maybe one day you will make a review on this topic (too bad your friend "james" (? ) left for US, he was clever and educated, you could exchange your point of views about this for us.
    Even if it ain't a masterpiece for you, i want to watch it, when there's Cha Seung Won, i don't hesitate.
    I've seen the IMDB has rated better than you did, so maybe it's quite good (usually IMDB is quite harsh or very generous);
    Big problem, i can't find it, in France no one sales it, i just found it on dailymotion subtitled in arabic.
    I think i'm going to watch it without subtitles and try to understand the dialogues with my poor korean.
    Thank you so much Tyler, as usual, a very well written review, my "homme de plume" (hope you know what it means for french people, it's a compliment about the way you write your reviews.
    Popo, can't wait to watch another review from you ;-)

      I really wish movies like this could be more available and with subs for everyone! One of the biggest hurdles we have yet to get over when it comes to the expansion of Korean cinema.
      Oh, and I want to partner up with James again for more video discussions in the future!. I agree with you about his invaluable insights and think he compliments many areas I'm lacking in. We lost touch when I went back to teaching full time in 2019 and I had to leave Korea many times in 2020. I believe he is still here though, and once COVID-19 dies down more and I'm able to get vaccinated I definitely plan to reach out to him and see if I can't reunite for some future videos~
      Thanks as always for your support! 😊

      @@TheMovieBeat Tyler, it's not about lacking, i think you manage your reviews very well, we can hear your writing, how much you have thought about and worked on, i meant when it's about a topic, for instance "why SK thrillers are the best ?", it's impossible to think about it on his own, it's like playing tennis, you need a partner ;-) i try on my own, through SK history and culture, but i'm on my own, so no one's there to give me more clues with his questions or ideas. My friends don't have interest on that subject and they don't ask themselves questions of that kind. You have the passion, i have it too, i bless you to have this channel which helps me so much to think about SK movies and culture. but all i can do is to write to you, ain't like we were face to face talking; that's why i asked for your friend who is smart and educated, i mean surely your kind of buddy ;-)
      Just a question : Mr Moon says that he wants Hallyu to spread all over the world, very clever way to influence the world, but what does Korea do for her cinema ? If there's no subs, how can we watch their work ? I can't even imagine about their literature, i could only read their main writers (Kim Yu-jong or Hwang Sok-yong, for instance). i don't know how Indonesia does, but they seem to be quite awared about all the SK culture (check their channels, every movie, dramas, kpop songs.. are reviewed).

      @@sasori7833 I've been wanting to explore modern Korean literary works ever since I moved here but they just aren't available in English or other translations like we can find with say Japanese authors. I think it's partly because even the "best" translations I've seen from the deep Korean thinkers and critics come off as a bit awkward to me. The more complex the Korean sentence the more difficult it is convey in English. The translation fees alone might outweigh the profitability of the book internationally. Also, for movies, since English is a "high value" market, the distributors who buy the subtitle rights seem to hang on to them like gold, and license them narrowly to the highest bidders in specific regions (I'm partly guessing on this). So as much as movies can help S.Korea export culture and generate interest for tourism from all over the world, they are held back by certain institutions and business strategies that predate the internet and more modern methods of distribution. (Again just my educated guessing 😅)

      @@TheMovieBeat You're right, i'm an idealist, i thought that maybe they would see an interesting value if the foreigners read their literature and dive into their movies from the beginning to make hallyu stronger, i didn't think about money as usual.. Wake up Sasori !!
