U don't always here what a vocal talent she is with Magic Dirt but on this tune, wow, she just nails it and shows what a beautiful voice she really does have.
You know I've always loved Adalita & Magic dirt. She is the quintessential battle hardened Aussie rock chick. But when you watch this & hear her new solo stuff.... You know that she is much much more then just an Aussie rock chick. She's a legend....Kudos to her for showing us theres more to Adalita then just Magic Dirt.
I hate that this has become a Christmas song. It's really about losing someone and living pretending that they'll come back in order to escape that pain. It's about hanging on through self deception. It's about dreams that never come true. But, this is a great cover. Well done. I just hate that it ends up being a frequent pick for Christmas albums.
