- Closing song for the RocKwiz Salutes The Legends of Europe episode on SBS Sat May 7th 2015. Megan Washington, Jess Cornelius from Teeth and Tongue, and Lou and Phoebe from Alpine join the RocKwiz Orkestra and Vika and Linda Bull to cover the Golden Earring classic, Radar Love
How is Vicka Bull, not a global superstar? Her talent is beyond measure.
I fully agree.
V&L Bull have outstanding talent and carry other vocalists (look at the Tim Rogers Gimme Shelter Performance).
Vicky out does even the original and later Stones backing vocalists.
Good things take time. Really good things take a little bit longer. Be patient!
Both Vika and Linda actually! Both are phenomenally talented but have chosen to stay in the background when they could have been front runners ….why?

check out Chicago cover band from Russia 'Leonid and Friends' - They do mostly chicago covers, but have just started doing Earth Wind and Fire and I think they're also working on some Blood Sweat and Tears. . . they are phenomenal

Was watching different covers for this to see if it might make a good cover for our female fronted band. The answer is... Yep.
It's rare that I get goosebumps when listening to music, this version was one of those rare moments, top cover!
They didn’t neuter it or reimagine to elevate themselves. They did a highly polished heavy hitting tribute/cover.
Gotta say I love GE's original but listening to this it did send chills from head to toe. Great, great performance!!

My first live concert was Golden Earring. Back in 1975. You all have done great with this song.

Yep, we made about 200 episodes for SBS in Australia between 2005 and 2016 and we tour regularly now and feature at some festivals. Started life as a half hour with only two guests who closed each episode with a duet. The episodes got longer and featured more guests. The last series was dedicated to the music from various decades, and the second to last series featured music from various countries. The show was shot in a pub with a live audience and the contestants who played were plucked from the audience on the night. We very very rarely did a second take of any of the songs.There is a rabbit hole you could go down!!

Years ago, I was on the road, a typical month would see me driving 5000km. I would often leave home Sunday night after the kids were in bed. One night I came cruising down the hill onto the marshland at about midnight, full moon and clear skies, no traffic, this song came on. I looked down, I was doing 150km/h, and it was GLORIOUS!

Used to be much better. 80 - 90s (my era) great times. Bands playing in pubs on every corner. Now most pubs are for the gambling man.
@@MichaelTaylor-rz4wm I totally agree. As a young adult of the early 90's you could go out and get smashed at plenty of pubs and clubs with live bands. Today it is all about the gambling dollar and most live band venues have been converted to such or closed down :(

The band, V & L and a few amateurs they let join in! Most weeks Vika and Linda ‘carry’ the guests. Love them to bits. The Gimme Shelter cover is a another great example.
