I'm using EmuDeck on my Steam Deck so you might think I'd be using Knulli on the RG35XXH but MuOS is just the better pick, especially after this update, the only thing I don't like is that the artwork and metadata still has to be on the OS SD. There are themes to change the main menu's looks to a Knulli-like sidescroll thing so that' great. Don't see a reason to leave Mu
Love the update videos, muOS is my new favorite thing to keep up with. Really looking forward to bluetooth integration, as it's the one down-side to the CFW imo. I love my 35xxplus and would prefer not to buy another console for analog sticks then have them in the way while I want to play simpler games portably.
Thanks! Yeah, I think bluetooth support and a boxart scraper are the last two features that might hold people back from checking this CFW out. Once those get added it will be wild. The D-pad /Analog swap fix for the 35xxplus should be out soon.
This update made me want to buy a H model and retire my plus. Never wanted the joystick thing, but when it became "avaliable"(it's broken on mine too) I started to see the possibilities that the plus model cannot offer.
Gonna stay on stock for now. I destroyed so many sd card because of garlic os last year. I think it will be a fantastic os in a few months. Anyway, regardless if using cfw or not in resident evil/dino crisis games I noticed that camera view angle change takes longer than on miyoo mini plus, almost twice as long. Tried different psx cores - same issue. All core settings are the same. This is very strange since rg35xx plus is so much more powerful than miyoo mini.
wondering if i should stay at refried beans. the update worked for a minute then once i started messing with psp it broke because i set it to vulkan. realizing it wouldn't open anymore i reopened the update package. worked again then moved on to port testing. most ports did not run.. then non ran without any way to fix. then shortly after my screen wasn't displaying the boot properly. i did have to hit the reset a few times because testing roms froze it. just reflashed
A guess a question I have is if using the reset button causes obvious problems when used, why does it exist on the system? I mean I get open file handles horror but why have one on this device at all?
Yeah, that would be a good question for the device designers. Maybe it's not as much of an issue with the Stock OS I'm not sure how they deal with hard resets. But just like a computer it's best to not use the reset button unless you have no other option. I also think computers have a more protections built in for dealing hard resets than something like a CFW on an SD card and I have seem many people get data corruption using the reset button.
thank you so much for the video i learned so much! but i didnt know about the restarting thing beforehand so now when i turn on the sp its stuck on the muos loading page, any idea of what i should do?
Once it gets to that point there is not too much you can do than try to copy anything you might want to backup like any important save games from the SD card then re-flash it.
You would need to select the button in the bottom left. It should change the keyboard to Symbols then select it again to change it back to lowercase letters.
Which ever one works best for you. I feel that a single card setup is less complicated but it is nice to have all your roms on the second card and not have to copy them over every time you have to reflash the firmware.
Yeah, I mentioned there is a bug with the control swap for the Plus version. A fix is being released in the next few days unless something comes up. But I'll pin a comment when it comes out.

I do hope they add an easy way to store that stuff on sd2. But I agree muOS is great!
Thank you ✨

Well woops. I was wondering why it wasn't working, I completely either ignored or missed 5:40 I definitely unzipped that file.
Yeah that would cause that issue. Glad you were able to figure it out and get it working.
Downloadable artwork would be nice to have. Fantastic OS.
True, I'm really looking forward to the addition of a boxart scraper.

Also double check that the update was applied.
You can see in Information > System Details. Make sure it says Baked Beans.
Same here, vibrates but doesn't change the controls
Which device are you using? What core/game are you playing?
On the Plus, tried Marvel Ultimate Alliance and XMen Legends 2 on the PSP

What core are you using?
If you are using Mame 2003 Plus you will need to open “Retroarch Setting” > Core options > Tate mode = On
Hit B once then select Manage Core Options > "Save Content Directory"
This is how you will set the controls for any of the cores:
Retroarch Settings > Controls > Port 1 Controls and set
Right analog Y- : Right
Right analog Y+ : Left
Right analog X- : Up
Right analog X+ : Down
Hit B once “Manage Remap files” and select “Save Content Directory Remap File”
Using the Save Content Directory option means these settings will be saved and used for only games in the same folder.
@PhyrexTechs cheers for that. I must be really thick but I can't find any of those options in retroarch. I'm using the latest MuOS.
