This is the first video I have watched that hasn't played the hardest part at 10000x speed, thank god you slowed it down and explained the foot pattern, well done, no idea why most youtubers can't focus on the most complicated part at a slow speed first like you have, Hats off to you thanks
Nice job of breaking that down, my man! That’s a difficult song to play, for someone at my level at least. And for me, it’s due to the technical nuances in the beat (obviously). But just wanted to say that I appreciate the video & your approach to playing this song. A song that I’ve watched a couple of other, how to, drumming videos on, but this one for me, suits me more than any others I’ve watched so far. Appreciate your method on how to break it down. Thanks, really!
Cheers! Thanks for taking the time to leave some feedback. There's a lot of benefits from having a go at this even if you think it's too soon. It will help your right foot technique in particular. I've broken it down even further into a series of exercises on my site and it's free to check out if you're feeling adventurous. :) acedrumming.com
@@aceben72 I will for sure. And yeah, I’m all about learning it. And I’m really glad I found this, because that’s probably one of my main/bigger issues, is the coordination between L & R hands & feet & visa versa etc. And your exercises seem like they will really help improve on that & more, I’m sure. So thanks again!
This is really helping me a lot, but I’m having trouble getting up to full speed with my feet - I’m maxing out around 155 bpm right now. I’m a bit of a novice when it comes to proper foot technique and terms - is there anything specific I should do with foot positioning to make it easier to go faster? I noticed your heels seem to stay in the air but that seems difficult to sustain in practice, unless I just build up the endurance.
How bout that….“I’ll knock up a video for you.” Helluva guy! Glad I saw these replies, cuz I can attest to having the same issue. Glad to have subscribed recently, also. Am I the only one who thinks the intro is one of the easiest parts of Bleed (In relation to the other sections)? I just think about it as 3/16 over 4, or I guess at 200bpm 3/8 over 4.
Hell yeah Im subscribing...Ill give you a fair chance and what Ive seen in first few sec.,great stuff....Sorry but Im a "bad" dude and yt doesnt like people like me,so,thats why I cant answer,I dont get notifications, for a year or so and that was a nasty and real good move from loosing left dems side.. Great video! The talking angle is a bit awkward. I suppose it's hard to unmount the cameras. If you like to intermix your explaining and playing, perhaps you could record your explanation like you did now, and retake it after your done. When you talk to us, we don't need to see all of your drumkit. Not seeing a great deal of your drumkit is a sacrifice worth having if it means a more natural viewing angle. I am not trying to bring you down or anything. I'm just trying to offer some things you could try out and experiment with. You deserve more views and the better the production value, the more likely that is to happen. Thank you for the video.

Cheers Chris!
108 subscribers?? So rare to find vids with right about chat to practical demonstration. Top stuff 👏
Cheers Aby! Hope it helps. :)
Really great information. This is by far the best instructional video for the song, Bleed. Thanks for the great lesson!
Cheers! Apprecitate the feedback and hope it helps. :)
great lesson man. I looked for a good lesson on this ages ago and couldn't find anything, glad i looked again. great job.
Cheers Bernard! Appreciate the feedback and hope it helps. :)
How do you not have more subs?? Great lesson, the slowed down patterns really help
Cheers Dan! Glad it helped. :) I'll do some more of these when I can - open to any song / pattern suggestions if any come to mind.
Nice breakdown and exercises. Very comprehensive and thorough. Now it seems, doable, haha!
Cheers Michael! Hope it helps. :)

It's like a paradiddle for your feet while your hands are keeping you in time
A herta is nothing at all like a paradiddle.
Good lesson and t-shirt ....like jjj
Cheers Josan!
Nice shirt, btw.

So the left foot is playing a 4 against 3 polyrhythm with the right hand
Sure is! Check out my Bleed Bootcamp at acedrumming.com (it's free) for a more detailed look at this.
This is good man but it would be nice if you could play the bleed track at slow speed to match
Hey Winston head over to acedrumming.com and check out the Bleed Bootcamp (it's still free!).

While I believe bleed is far superior, slowed down it sounds like down with the sickness by disturbed
Yes it's similar!
Спасибо незнакомый англоязычный дяденька
Now you just have to play it at the right speed.
You forgot the ghost notes on the snare. But great job!
Cheers Shawn! I left them out to try and keep things a bit simpler. :)
What kind of electric drum set is that ?
Hi Titus it's a Yamaha DTX (I forget which exact model) and I was using a kick drum practice pad with a trigger attached for the kick. :)

You need to play the ghost notes on the snare as well.
I deliberately left them out to keep things simpler. :)
@@aceben72 Yea I figured. 🙂 Great instructions btw.
@@Jonsson474 cheers!
Glad to see you´re a drummer. I´m worried about your voice.
