Price will drop fast on this. Went from $120k last year to $60k this year. I suspect $30k, the $20k, then $10k, then $5k, then $3k, $2k, $1500, then $1000. Basically in 8 years, I’ll buy one!
The bigger brakes are the companies behind...Due to Their massive investment in billion $ factories for big panels, their investments must be profitable first... If no one gets ahead of them, they will take their time unless customers refuse to buy their current ranges. This technology is expected to be cheaper to produce, so it's just the future, which they reject far away
I need this in europe!!! You guys are skipping europe for now but custom integration here is a great market. And we as a company need this type of products fast!
Gah, prob another 5-10yrs for prices to come done for actual consumers... not high end like this. 70k is still too high for a tv. mass Consumers need tvs under 10k, I mean if they offered 120inch ish for 9k would would be awesome...
That would be awesome. I fully expect LED walls to drop hugely in price with the mounting and processors get figured out. 3k for a 150” screen should be easily attainable.

I looked into this. Way Way too expensive. It costs much as a brand new luxury car. Perhaps in 5-10 years, it will be the same cost as a screen and projector.
Back in early 2000s (late 90s?)I remember people buying Faroudja line doublers projector processors for giant money. $20k+? So long ago I can't remember. But anyhow, that was a processor to double 540 SD into 1080i right? Then along came line quadruplers for $30k+? Well, my point is we've come a long way for the quality we get for our money. My first TV I bought around 1999 was a $1000 32inch 4:3 SD CRT Toshiba 80lb 3 foot deep Box. Let's appreciate where we are today.
BWAHAHAHA he is excited to announce that they got the cost down to $60-$70k. Yeah because that really makes a difference to anyone who could actually afford this.
Theatre is a dark room when lights are off. So In complete dark room LED light emitted from LED walls will damage eyes after repeated viewing...in future.. While silver screens will absorb and then reflect a portion of absorbed light that is safe for eyes in a dark room.
That's a valid point. I have no doubt that this display technology is the future especially for bright environments. But how does it hold up for movie watching in a light-controlled/dark room? Is a reflective as opposed to an emissive display technology not better able to capture the magic of the silver screen? People tend to rave about Oleds as providing the best image quality at an affordable price but to me it still very much feels likes watching a TV.
@@justvideowalls Thanks very much for the additional info! Is it possible to build a custom 163" microled with an 8k resolution and a lower pixel pitch? What's the price for something like this?
@@Bboyy333 Not today, that will be a future leap but definitely more costly. We can go a bit tighter today than 0.9 but it's still in development to get all the bugs out. The longevity and reliability for that tight isn't there yet, in our opinion.
You are correct my friend! Definitely not every projector for sure, but the higher end and ultra-high end projectors, we have a highly competitive option. I'm a big projection fan (was in that side of the industry for 7 years) and I really love reflected light. But direct-view is unlike anything i've seen. It's a true upgrade to great contrast and no-compromises. Projection will always exist - at a entry price-point and a portable solution for a "big image". But this is for sure the future

Still no one is going to be able to afford that in this economy, I personally would not pay more than $1,000 for a good size smart tv
You can do that. Get a sweet 65" for that price now. For 2500 you can get a 98"

What's the input lag on these and at what resolution and refresh rate? In other words, for a hardcore gamer

Damn... while 60k is a great price for this its sometimes hard to justify because 6 months later this could literally be like 10k... hmm
Maybe 6 years later. But it could be 40k in a year.

Awesome video Jiles! Really appreciate seeing you again this year 🎉
Great to see you and the new products!
🥰
With this price trend it will be just a few years until these will start to be within reach of average consumers.
I agree. This is outstanding news too.
It’s not native 4K, it’s 2k and they are using pixel shifting, that’s why it’s cheap in quality and price.
Depends on the panel. Many are native 4k. But you can build in lower res as well.
lol..Samsung give up on dat display why you still continue promoting dat display ? nobody buying dat lol..
They would not be in business if no one was buying.
Yeah once he said for only $50-$60 thousand I stopped listening
Don’t watch the one from last year. It was way higher just a year ago.
