so what does it mean when grown ups of all ages/backgrounds/etc have these kinds of reactions when watching Disturbed's live version of this 60's song originally done by Simon & Garfunkel? I think it's something to do with having a deep sensitivity to orchestral music, inner emotions, and David Draiman's voice....Love this reaction video and love this live performance by Disturbed...I've watched/heard this live performance a bazillion times and the end results have always the same....🥲😲😊👍

I did not know this live version as well... - you're so adorable, I feel a deep need to give you some hugs right now! - Now, as I'm an OG I've known this song for a long time in the original by Paul Simon and thus was well prepared for the lyrics already when I discovered the cover by Disturbed, maybe that's why it didn't shake my soul as deeply, but I have to say that Disturbed put it on another level emotionally... Not that this is better than the immortal original, just different, more anger and passion, less resignation. I strongly recommend you to check out Simon's song (privately) to get to know where this comes from:

This version is better than the official video version because it's less smooth & more emotional. Amazing that when he did it he was actually quite sick and didn't know if he was going to be able to perform it that night. David Raiman is classically trained and it shows in all his singing. And yes, the Conan people out in a little bit of autotune in & David want happy with that.
Not being racist here....such an amazing song, epic... why does this performance hit those African decent so hard , much more than others? I think it hearkened to the ancient African town criers that spread music....anythoughts?
