Hello from the Welsh American Channel. Just want to let you know that we Welsh Americans are also interested in what is going on in Wales and Beddgelert. Cymru am byth!
You outdid yourselves in this video, every scene was gorgeous. The hike at the end looked like you had stumbled into the Shire and I was expecting to see a hobbit at any moment. Thanks for another wonderful adventure.
Fabulous, especially enjoyed the early morning birdsong. No wonder, JRR Tolkien took such inspiration from rural Wales. The Shire and the Elvish language where based on his visits there.
I could easily just park myself alongside the running water anywhere in Beddgelert and stay there all day just watching the river run and falling into a meditative state. Gorgeous!!!! 🥰
Great video, very informative. Wales is beautiful. Been there last year for only a day, but I really loved it. Beddgelert is so tranquil, like a fairytale. Thanks to the both of you, top notch work 😊
Wonderful place....have fullen in love with Beddgelert....such a peaceful tranquil place...the B&B looked cozy...thank you for taking me there Cheers🍻 guys Keep up the good work Tony❤❤
Its peaceful and tranquil at certain times. That is why I kept saying it can be busy. Everyone wants to visit so that can spoil it. By staying over you can have the best of the day in the early morning and just at dusk when the day trippers head home. It really is a wonderful place.
Always enjoyed my visits to Wales. Travelled on the toy trains a lot and did the run from Porthmadog to Blaenau Ffestiniog a couple of times. Unfortunately the Welsh Highland Line through Beddgelert wasn't quite ready yet at the time of my final holiday in Britain. No matter - at least we have your great videos. For which we are eternally grateful! 😉😊
Beautiful scenery! Gelerts story made me cry but you take us back up with more breath-taking views & your cosy cottage ~ ty! Glad you got to come back and spend some time there, along with taking us along....As always, all the Best to you both!!! ❤🙋🏻♀️👍🍻
The entire video marveled my heart ❤ with so much of tranquility, i feel so refreshed watching.. i owe you both for sharing such fantastic fairytale video 😊 birds chirping, sounds of river , valleys & the greenery stole my heart ❤ i m so touched by wales beauty 🥰 your videos are very unique & soothing.. thank u
hey guys, so grateful for your videos. they’re a tremendous resource for me and continuously birthing new ideas and inspiring my future travels….. a big thanks from across the pond.
love it, thanks, havent been there in years, it hasnt altered one bit, so pretty around there, we stayed at the Saracens Head, been there for years, nice to see a place that hasnt shut down!
What a delightful place. Never went to North Wales, so this is a great treat & I keep hoping my English relatives will visit one day, as it all seems so lovely. Glad you had a magical stay.
Hi guys Another fab video from your visit to Wales. What a pretty village. Lots of walks around. Your Airbnb looked good, great views from the seating area. Looking forward to the next video Morgs Jo and Boo 🐕❤
I visited Beddgelert a couple years ago and absolutely loved it. Thank you for such a great video, this definitely captures the peace and tranquility of that beautiful village
Hi MemorySeekers, thank you for your Wales episodes. Planning a trip to north Wales in November (season not my choice). Do you have any advice on travelling around north Wales in late autumn? I've read that weather can be very changeable and typically wet at that time of year.
Hi, wrap up warm and bring waterproof clothes and shoes. You are unlikely to see any snow unless you go to the top of the mountains. The weather in Wales can be wet at any point in the year, you just have to get on with it. We went in September and half our week was wet, the other half glorious sunshine.
Absolutely stunning area of Wales, thanks so much for sharing your lovely holiday. Loved listening to the local history. Thanks again, so enjoyed the video will definitely visit soon.
Wales has a lot of beautiful stone homes. My Stackpole side of my ancestors owned a castle in Wales. I have a picture of it! It’s been torn down for something else 😢 The other side of my family ,the Sadlers, is from England. My Grandfather left London for the United States and Lady Liberty.
WOW! I have recently moved to near this area BEDDGELERT. What a fascinating place and brilliant video. You have the perfect narrating voice (For Tv or radio). Well done. SUBSCRIBED.
Thank you that was lovley.its a long time since i visited Beddgelert so it was nice to see it again.just goes to show if you set out for a walk you see some wonderfull scenery that you don't see just strolling the main streets.looking forward to next weeks trip as ive never been to portmerion.
Was here on Saturday for a wedding in a barn on Llyn Gwynant. The village is an extremely beautiful place! We stayed in Sygun Fawr Country House not far from it. I regret not exploring more over the bridge aha
So far we've always been to Bewts-y-Coed in February with the combination. Maybe we'll give Beddgelert a try. The weather is often not so bad in winter either, but North Wales is not so crowded then.
Okay… you had me hooked with the Amsterdam videos. Now I’m hooked on visiting North Wales! If you were to start at Heathrow would you take a train and then rent a car in Wales or just rent a car and drive the whole trip? Great series so far.
Imo if you were visiting the U.K. I’d hire at Heathrow and drive. That way you might be able to stop on the way and visit other places. Also your choice of hire car places and prices might be better in a big city than a small town.
Yes I think hiring at Heathrow is better. The cost of the train ticket to say Chester on the border of North Wales is likely going to be over £100 for 2 people if not more depending on when you go, so that cost can be better used with the car hire, which will be better to get sorted in London.
Looks fabulous! It sounds as though you are pronouncing this village’s name as Bethgelert- am I correct! Is September and October good months to visit Wales do you think? Cheers from Australia
Yes, I was pronouncing it Bethgelert. In Welsh "dd" is a "th" but it looks like Beddgelert. You will see in the Conwy video LL is actually pronounced "CL" Llandudno. I am no expert on Welsh, it is pretty hard to get right. I am sure we have made mistakes at points, but I do know the above are correct ☺ The weather in Wales is potluck and it is hard to say if those months are any good. It will of course be slightly warmer than spring. We liked September because the children have returned to school and most people have had their summer holidays making it a bit quieter.
My wife is delighted. We've been to Bewts-y-Coed several times in winter. Why not go to Beddgelert for a few days, hike, drink ale, eat delicious food and relax?
THANK YOU SO MUCH -- MY PARENTS RAN PRINCE LLEWELYAN HOTEL AT TIME OF METEOR FALLING ON WELSH STONE HEARTH. A NEWSPAPER PHOTOGRAPHER TOOK PHOTO OF ME WITH MY MOTHER SITTING ON THE BRIDGE OPPOSITE. IT IS ON MY WALL. THE METEOR WAS TRACKED ALL OVER WORLD, MEXICO ETC, AND MOST OF IT IS IN LONDON'S HISTORY MUSEUM I FOUND THIS VIDEO REALLY BEAUTIFUL. TAKE CARE.
It looks quaint but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit here. There are many small villages in Wales. This one does not have good transport routes at all, also it looks a little deprived and not a lot to do. Scenery is nice though, very rural.

I did not know that but I'm not surprised and I made the comment that the area looked like the Shire.
I didn't know this!
Such a peaceful and fairylike village. I would love spending a couple of days over there😊❤
I’m sending this intention out to the universe: Beth and Levi will someday be there
thankyou for sharing it allows me to see places i will never get to
I could easily just park myself alongside the running water anywhere in Beddgelert and stay there all day just watching the river run and falling into a meditative state. Gorgeous!!!! 🥰
We did that for an afternoon in 2017 with a pint from the pub. That was when we decided we must come back and stay over!
What a lovely village & gorgeous scenery. I can see why you made the area your home base. Can't wait for next week's episode.
Yes it’s a super place to be. It does get busy like most pretty places but the morning and evenings when not many people are about is just magic.
Had forgotten how pretty it is. Thank you
Beautiful small town
It is a beautiful village. ☺
Great video, very informative. Wales is beautiful. Been there last year for only a day, but I really loved it. Beddgelert is so tranquil, like a fairytale. Thanks to the both of you, top notch work 😊
Hope you go back and see some more one day. Wales is amazing!
My aunty had a boarder collie she bought in Wales and named it Gelert, she loved this village.
Thank you for showing us this wonderful place!
WONDERFUL PLACE!

Looks like a very beautiful place to hike and also relax. Thanks a bunch!!!
Yes we only scratched the surface on the hiking. I wish we had, had time to visit the copper mine as well but you can't do everything!
Great video! Can’t wait to see that area someday

The story of the dog is believed to be true in Wales and the Welsh prince named the faithful dog after the monk of the same name.
If possible could you please put date of visit on each videos so we can be visit those beautiful place on same time frames..thank you
Hello we did say it was September in the narration 😊
Another fantastic video
Thank you!
My brother lives here in a cottage, I'm from Bangor originally not far from Beddgelert.
Did you see the sign on the church gate said that there are Commonwealth graves in the church yard
👍😄❤❤❤
Beddgelert - The dd is the same sound as 'th' from the/there/they. Not like the 'th' from thoroughly. Hope this helps :)
