Well Simon and Will you certainly did Beaumaris justice, we've had many a happy nights away there and plenty of good meals out, particularly the Mussels straight from the sea 😋
This was an outstanding video. We’re loving your Welsh series. Beaumaris looks beautiful and intriguing. Definitely will have to visit when we have a chance to get to Wales.
Hello I live in Anglesey and beaumaris is my favourite place on Anglesey my great grandparent lived there in the cottage opposite the castle and buried in the Church on the hill where the scenery is breathtaking it such a beautiful place
Y'all are my go to guys for planning trips to the UK! Even though it will be a few years I can't wait to visit Wales & Scotland. Love y'all & look forward to the next video🙂
@@MemorySeekers Me too! LOL. Then again, Wales is such a beautiful place! What's not to love? Aye! 'Tis so true!! Thanks again for sharing its beauty with us! 🌞
Excellent! That prison tour was intense. However the prison that really got my attention was in Norwich Castle. Great tour and greatly looking forward to next week.
Castle of Beaumaris is so captivating with its large grounds, shops & houses are so beautiful 😍 every part of England has a traditional style of building houses which is quite fascinating 😀 yes I must agree the jail is very creepy 😮 enjoyed the entire video, thanks for sharing 👍
Another good video guys ~ Ty 😘 When I watch, I try to imagine what it must have been like to live back in the 11th & 12th centuries.🤗 I picture it very romantic but I'm sure it had its tough times, but that's all they knew at the time, so it was, what it was.....Glad there are still reminders of what was happening in their day. Again ty🙏 for taking us back-in-time! 🤴💚👸💜
Our family love the amazing charity shop on the corner, the more you bought, the cheaper the total became 😂 I also accidentally found a wonderful mini forest just over the road from the sea, full of wild garlic, it looked and smelt wonderful, a waterfall that animals and humans alike enjoyed. Didn’t see any puffins on our excursion but did see sea lions x x x
Seems so charming, bursting with fascinating history & lots of local shops to satisfy retail cravings. Did miss out, never getting to N Wales. Happy travels, and thanks for doing such a great job.
@@MemorySeekers The gloom can be depressing - hopefully it is beginning to pick up. The weather down here this year has been delightful, beautiful sun, I think only one day in the hi-80s, a little too dry, really for for visitors - perfect! Enjoy your next Adventure. Northumberland is such a huge county, with so much blatant history - Roman, Georgian, Medieval, industrial, Victorian - sweeping coasts and windswept hills - cute towns and villages, old mines and mills, splendid country piles and ruined abbeys you need a wedge of time - or just select a bit of a hub and branch out from there. Hexham, Corbridge, - historic houses: Wallington, Armstrong's place Cragside at Rothbury, Alnwick Castle & Gardens, Belsay Hall, too much... Ha!
What an amazing place, I could spend a week there quite happily poking around the streets and buildings. Thank you as always, I appreciate tagging along with you both. =-)
The prison gives me the absolute horrors,I get so disturbed at how terrible it must’ve been, there’s no way I could enter it’s doors without feeling the despair and misery, apart from that a very enjoyable video
Great video, just for reference you don’t say the first “L” in Bulkeley it is pronounced as if spelt Buckley. Also there are still parts of the town boundary wall still erected around the perimeter of the town.

Well Simon and Will you certainly did Beaumaris justice, we've had many a happy nights away there and plenty of good meals out, particularly the Mussels straight from the sea 😋
Just a shame it was not 🌞 help it pop more and then maybe we would have taken the boat trip to puffin island as well.
You missed a treat not doing that, our kids loved seeing the seals and dolphins.
Interesting and beautiful too. As always you did a great job filming and giving us the long history. I enjoyed very much. Hugs and blessings.
Thank you Joen, pleased to share it with you.

Thanks so much! 😊 hope you make it here.
I watched this episode on a dark & stormy night in southeast Texas. Wonderful buildings & history of Beaumaris.
I lived in the Melbourne Australia suburb of Beaumaris which we pronounced "Bomorris". Presumably named after this town.
There’s one is Tasmania too!

@@MemorySeekers You're welcome.
Some of my maternal ancestors were from Anglesey (and Powys + Caernarfon). I've always had a fascination with it!

I love garlic but really struggle with the smell of wild garlic. Don’t know why! Shame you didn’t see the cute puffins.
Spent a lot of happy days in beaumaris
Дякую за відео, дуже цікаво!!!!

Loved this!💙💙💙💙💙
Went on a north Wales tour a fortnight ago, called at Beaumaris, but not for very long. Is a nice place, went to Llangollen too, that's lovely.

Shame you missed out on tea n cake in the Bulkeley Hotel- wonderful faded grandeur and incredible views over snowdonia
Oh really, didn’t know they even did them in the hotel. How nice.

@@MemorySeekers no problem 😉 I’m born and bred Beaumaris

❤👍🤗
Not a castle, it generated power.
To the UK.
Maybe for some but it's depressing bland and bleak. That's on a sunny day...! I quickly escaped to Trearddur Bay.
The Tudor Rose was initially a WHAT? Oh! A hall house…a HALL house, Issa. Shame on you. 😅
lol I was tempted to put that in text as it does sound like whore house 😂😂
🤣😂🤣
The Welsh were idiots not to kill Edward's masons & bricklayers..... more easy task than Edward's heavy cavalry....
