I asked Leth if the UI was buggy in the huntress gif and he said that it wasn’t. I had a chance to talk to him on a live stream recently. Not sure exactly what that means for us here but the UI is acting correctly.
I'm guessing that it indicates that you are able to heal yourself because when hornet had missing health it glowed and when she had full health it did not glow.
I like to believe Seth inspired Silksong beyond the character bearing the same name. I'm going to battle him with him in my mind. Rest in peace man, your design is amazing.

ima be honest, and i know this may be an “excuse” but from what i known they announced this game 2016 hence the scrap outs from Hollow Knight, have gone off to silksong plus they were probably working on this and hollow knight throughout 2017 and their a smaller company so i understand why its taking then a long time, idk about you guys but the suspense makes it more exciting
he fights to the end. also he is a character developed by a kid with cancer, and a character like hornet would not be added so late in development so i think seth would be an npc and a one off boss.

About Hornet’s scent being strange yet familiar: Assuming the Huntress hasn’t been to Hallownest, she wouldn’t recognize the scent of that place (which Hornet might’ve carried with her to Pharloom), so she thinks it’s strange. However, if the Hunter from Hollow Knight’s theory was true, that “familiar scent” the Huntress smelled was probably the smell of a fellow Hunter.

As soon as you mentioned the sad news while talking about Seth, I began to tear up. I wish he lived long enough to face his character in the game, and feel happy that he gets to see him in action and having an important role in the sequel of one of the most popular games known in this era. At least Team Cherry gave him the chance to see a gif of his character in the game. I can't wait to face Seth (the character) in the game.
Something I literally just noticed- it's not an *exact* match (it lacks the "horns" on the sides), but that one weird mask on Hornet's health at one point looks a *lot* like Galien's, right down to a very similar crack. Dunno if there's supposed to be any kind of connection, but still. (He *does* mention "leaving this place together" with his brothers, just to add some extra intrigue.)

It seems that the butterfly that freed Hornet from the cage may be somehow related to the Lace boss. And the hallway in the cinematics reminds me of a guitar shape :)
Rusty, what if the characters like the Huntress weren’t turned away from the Citadel but perhaps realized a terrible truth. Pharloom is haunted by Silk and Song. Usually a Voice creates a song. We know Seth may have been enhanced by the Voice to hide a secret. Perhaps the Voice creates great strength but it has something to hide.

Notice the one on the far left has a different shape and is cracked vertically? Maybe it's Silksong's version of the Hiveblood granting extra HP. seth and lace both having a pin doesn't seem to mean anything. I believe lace's description mentioned that she wields the traditional weapon of pharloom. so, two characters wielding a pin is like two characters using a nail.
Weird cracking mask could still be protective. Lifeblood syringe existing doesn't seem like it really excludes other protective upgrades from existing. As the syringe seems manually activated, leaves open room for something passive. The knight had access to both lifeblood charms and manually activated defensive charms like baldur shell, and some sort of defensive stuff like regen from hiveblood. My personal thought is it's more like a protective shell around that mask that would be picked up in the world similar to how you pick up lifeblood, since we haven't seen a tool that matches it. I do like the possibility of it being a sort of temporary debuff, though, and honestly it looks a little malicious.
My guess for the shell at the most left spot is a friend’s health, if you notice it looks like Garmond’s head, so I believe during the gif hornet is in the middle of a side quest with garmond
My theory for the protective mask at 16:49 is that it is a mix of Baldur Shell and Fury of the Fallen in a sense that it only activates when Hornet is at one HP (because it covers only the last mask) and it prevents Hornet from taking damage until it is completely cracked and subsequently broken.
The eggs hanging from the ceiling in the Huntress' room look more like bags. The Huntress maybe hangs her slain prey to the ceiling, like Nosk did, only a bit more covered up. I think the second gif in the Seth-pack is after the fight with Seth. After all, if Seth protects the Citadel, than he wouldn't go take a nap somewhere unless he had some outside provocation. Or the character in the second gif is not Seth, but rather a member of the same species, but that doesn't seem likely, because the character was made by a fan.
16:55 I think the cracked mask may work as a 1hp safety net. If you were to take fatal damage, you get reduced to 1hp instead. I can't tell you how many times I wish there was something like this in HK.
Also they could have been in the same kingdom at the same time probably not as the knight doesn't seem to recognize hornet but it could be due to them losing their memories

Rusty i dont think its a UI bug. It think TC is going to use the mechanic as hollow knight. Bc in Silksong ,when you die you only loose your silk and can later find it back. While in hollow knight, you loose the soul and break the jar holding it. Maybe they added th same mechanic. So when you die, you first have to fix the spool otherwise you cant heal. That would also explain Why the wheel isnt lit up. I guess you can fix it with money or shards idk
my idea about this big bone mask is that it can take quite a few hits and, since its the last mask you have it could be used in combination with things like fury of the fallen mb it could be also repaired on the bench, same as baldur shell worked while lifeblood needle (?) is consumable
I feel like team cherry might either, be trying to integrate inventory space and need ing to get better clothes to store more tools, or they are trying to emulate something similar to shovel knight, where different armor sets give you different abilities.

I just realized that the reason the spool above the charged one at 15:45 is not lit up because the player has full health. When they were fighting in the moss grotto hornet did not have full health and it was lit up.
I think the green thing on the silk meter causes you to heal in sections sorta like healing in hollow knight. I also think that mask will take more damage with only one mask, sorta like balder shell.
Maybe the dress can be altered in a way that is similar to changing pins in Hallowknight, and that’s where the dress opening up for the brief pause in decent comes from.
grindle reminds me of greirat from ds3... they're both thieves that you can free from a cell, they both wear a pointy hat, even their names sound kinda similar

If part of the game doesn't involve Hornet remembering the Little Ghost, I'm going to be sad (unless it's actually a prequel). (I know the MC is generally called the Knight, but that nickname Hornet gave him is just too perfect.)

I made many of these Characters out of clay, with these newer characters, I need to get to work, I am still excited for Silksong.
I think the heart encased in bone is corelated to the extended silk capacity; you lose one of your hearts, but you have the option to get extra silk
