I just saw a squad of 3 getting wiped by a rathian tail swipped while running one of my main HH. I messaged them asking them of they wanted to give it another try we did I got the slay they were elated always nice to help the new hunters out
Oh yes. I did forget about that detail. I'm normally talking over the top while streaming, and when I'm playing off stream, I often have the music off because I'm dual screening, watching other content. heh.
When you're 1st sent to the Buddy Plaza you get a cut scene that focuses on each of the separate areas within it. It does focus on the boat to the training area, but it really should have a tutorial or a sign post to point you to it to help out players.
MH in general is always a noob vs vet situation. While it is important to learn the game, it's never going to be done by every player. Even in the highest level content of every game, you will ALWAYS be matched with people that are not very good or are plain bad. I've carried friends through whole games to see some become about my level or still just suck. Oh well. Important to remember it's a game and to do your best to stay calm and have fun. (We all have our limits. This is a cover for my undying rage at failing any quest for any reason lol)
*Spoiler Ahead* For those wondering what is the secret in the Training Area... It's a big mural, kind of a "Shrine" thing, most likely depicting the Rampage since you can see hunters facing off Monsters
Thank you so much for touching on mount transferring and not running cross map! Had some dude get on one I was hunting and run from zone 5 to 9 on the frosted plains and it annoyed the shit out of me especially since I had my switch axe in the amped state. Edit:typo
The main issue is, at the start of the game there is now flinch free skill, i Lance and try my best to keep out the way but the noobs just dont get it 😂
Lol if it makes you feel better I was hr 200+ and had beat the game then finally came back a year later to get into sun break when I had to look up how to get into the training area, haven’t been back but at least I can fast travel there now!
Glad you made another video about helpful hints and tips for newbies. I'm a Sleep Greatsword main and it's pretty frustrating when they just waste the wake up hit by hitting the monster with a dinky Pierce Shot from their Bowgun.
The game doesn't lead you to the training area but it gives you one hell of a close up of the boat you need to take to get to it. They probably figured everyone was smart enough to wander over to it during their initial trip to the buddy plaza because they focused so hard on it.
The only thing that gets me is that one player with fast weapons just going to town on a sleeping monster while the rest stop and wait for the hard hitter.
I have over 1000 hours on Switch and found the PS5 version super easy. The new players are extremely evident, but I love it because it gives me a chance to teach.
Is the game "easy" or are you just higher skilled starting rise then you were starting World... this is a real silly way to present it. I also have 1400h in Rise on Switch (and more on steam) - I recently replayed the opening dozen hours of world and now playing though RISE again on two systems, and World is FAR easier than Rise when it comes to monster challenge.
@@BluntyTV ikr, saying ps5 version is easy because I have 1k hours on switch is like saying rise is easy because I have thousands hours in world, and world is easy because I have 1000 hours in generation ultimate, and so on
@@BluntyTV This is a valid way of looking at it. Your first Monster Hunter game is usually your hardest because of the steep learning curve of the series in general. However, I've had friends who started with Rise and familiarize themselves with the combat, only then to start World and have a harder time in general. I think there are two things that make Rise objectively easier than World (without even taking into consideration monster design and AI): A. Wirebug Recovery B. Abundance of easy to execute Silkbind counters for most weapons. The combination of the two makes it really hard to cart in my opinion. Having said that, I do think Rise combat is a lot more fun than World combat. I love both MHR and MHW btw.
Players still wake up monsters, comboing them even after posting sleep stickers in chat. I dont bother no more Edit: Posting sleep stickers in chat before the status accurs of course
Thanks again for this. I did find the training area but only because MHW had one so I assumed this would have one. It doesn't tell you anything about it though!! Until this vid, I didn't know about the rampage weapons or the ability to change the training doll behaviour. Why on earth don't they tell you about this?!! It should be one of the first areas you are guided to during the opening tutorial phase. The other info was also helpful, I did kind of use the bowgun Wyvernblasts on a monster I found sleeping but I will focus more on this in future. Question about Village V Hub quests though Do the hub monsters have a much higher health pool or something even if it is just one hunter? I did a hub quest against a firebird thingy (sorry, cant remember the name) that was a 1* and it took 45min to get through. Fought the same monster in a 3* village quest and got through it in about 7min. Yes, my bowgun was a bit better but not 5 times better!
No thanks. Twitch has a FAR better community "vibe" for live chat, plus I don't wanna have "all my eggs in one basket", PLUS I'm partnered on twitch, so no, I can't dualstream to YT... contractually.
I saw someone using a shock trap on valstrax on my 100hr quest, same on teostra at hr50 nobody ever tells them in this game that elder dragons cant be trapped, also people using pitfalls on narga and shocks on rajang are so funny to look at when they realize it aint working
I'm confused. My first time going to the training area was definitely by fast travel. I didn't even know until watching this that you could take the boat. Did I just get lucky, or was it not supposed to happen like that?
Xbox players have exactly one previous game for MHunt knowledge. The number of you that are pissed off that they're still using MHWI strategies is disappointing in light of this fact. All of you with multiple consoles, handhelds, and the time to devote to this game series and every game in it, I applaud you, but you disappoint me the most with your horrible attitudes towards new players. If the in-game tutorials aren't going to teach this, it's your job as experienced, nose-in-the-air elitists to train them. But instead you're here, complaining. Since there is no crossplay, you went out of your way to go where the new release was, where you knew this was likely to be the situation again because that's how MHW's release on Xbox went: multi-console owners who had experience with MHunter before hated new players because new players had no clue about long standing community "rules". Surprise, surprise, you're all falling into the same roles yet again while now shifting the goal posts from "these players have no clue" to "they're trying to play like MHW, lol, how stupid". There's a reason why many new players think this community tends towards being toxic rather than accepting. You could be nice about it, but I guess why bother, amirite? SMH.
LOL try watching the videos BEFORE you comment, you fucking CLOWN. HAHAHA what a jackass! YOU'RE the "toxic" one here. JEEESUS how embarrassing for you! X'D
I played 1000 hours in MHW Iceborn and I fel like I forgot all my skills. Can't run everywhere, need the dog. Spent 30 hours so far and I still need more time to rebuild the muscle memory.

A bit tip to know when a monster is asleep is you would notice that the music fades. Once you notice that the music is gone, the monster is asleep.
Oh yes. I did forget about that detail. I'm normally talking over the top while streaming, and when I'm playing off stream, I often have the music off because I'm dual screening, watching other content. heh.

Yes, the hub quests are harder than the village quests, even if it's for just 1 hunter. It does mention this very early on I believe but easy to miss
I just see mhw tactics every hunt which means everyone is capturing everything and it's just meh.
