    If anyone has problems understanding new Rise mechanics, refer to this:
    Spiritbirds: increase HP, Stamina, Attack or Defense.
    Palamite: pet dog the works along side you in quests. It can be hopped on to move around faster and store some items from the quest. Keep in mind that just like a palico, Palamutes need armor and weapon upgrades.
    Wyvern Riding: hop on the monster during special stun where wirebug surround it, then you control it for a time.
    Wirebugs: they can either be used to move around when your weapons sheathed or for special attacks with your weapon drawn.
    Rampage: horde of monsters is coming to try and kill either you or the gate to Kamura, you get special turrets and equipment to use to fight that is upgraded as you level up the stronghold's defense by killing monsters and doing side opjectives for rampage exclusive items.
    Dango: Similar to eating food made by the Grandmoewster, you get special buffs based on the dango you chose to eat, you unlock more dango choices by doing special quests.
    Silkbind skills: These are special moves that require wirebugs to use, each move give a different cool down for your wirebug and sometimes require 2 wirebugs to use. An example is the famous Blastdash for Gunlance that you unlock by making more Gunlances and later on do an exclusive quest for to get said moves.

    Gonna info dump here which will be helpful on your future runs
    -theres an area which is across a bridge you need to check out.
    -It has the argosy from the previous game, i.e. the ship that brings in random resources
    -you can hire new palamutes and palicos, yes you can have 2 palamutes or palicos instead on your hunts. You can put in an order so they come with specific appearances and skills. These pals can be sent on the tail raids like the previous game to bring in resources and level them up
    - the training area is also accessed from this area
    - on the tree tops is a nest you can loot for resources, it builds up after each quest to a limit
    -when mounted you can slam the monster into a wall multiple times for massive damage. After a slam you can recover to slam them into a wall again, however your window to do so is short otherwise the mounting ends, slaming into another monster also ends your mounting but makes the other monster mountable
    -wirebugs can be used midair, honestly you actually can spiderman everywhere, theres a way to manually aim your wirebugs.
    -You can also wirebug to recover from a monster attack, some are necessary as some attacks are followed up with a more devastating attack. Other times it's better to stay on the floor.
    -the shrine sisters are wyverians just like the seeker from world. You can tell from the ears and four fingers. (You can use the camera tool to zoom in)

    You might have already found out about this lore tidbit by now, since I am always late to finding fun playthroughs of things, but the reason you can see monsters on the map from the start is because your trained ninja owl is flying above the map and relaying monster locations to you. Kind of like how in the old games, sometimes there would be a guild airship that you could wave to and they would signal where the monster was for you, except now it's constant.

  • @KaineReiN
    @KaineReiN 4 місяці тому +22

    If there are things I’d say would help you immensely in your Rise journey, it’s:
    1. Get rid of your dog (optional) and use the wirebug to traverse the maps. This’ll help you in getting used to the wirebug mechanic aside from just using wirebug skills (like advance morph). Some monster grab attack requires you to wirefall (LT + A) to avoid followup attacks. It’ll also teach you about the map, and also open your eyes to the verticality of the maps.
    2. For the love of God, I beg you. Please read! Relying on chat to convey the message will only confuse you more. Case on point: you don’t realize Kagero the merchant requested you to kill izuchi to make sub camp because you blazed through the dialogues (the important ones with speech bubbles on top of the NPCs)
    Extra (CB specific):
    Counter Morph Slash switch skill in hindsight looks the same as normal morphing attack and guardpoint, but with few differences:
    1. The morphing animation is slowed down, but in turn will increase your guard point frame.
    2. UED/SAED after successful guard point (Y+RT > Y+B) results in a powered up UED/SAED indicated by a “ding” during UED/SAED animation
    3. Morphing from axe mode to sword mode will change the guard point frame from the end of animation to the beginning of animation.

    When wyvern riding, launching is good for damaging the monster you're riding by hitting it into a wall, and you can continue riding for a few more seconds and potentially launch again if you've still got a wirebug. Otherwise, launch into another monster if there's one nearby, then do attacks to fill up your meter before time runs out. The monster will aim itself, you don't have to point it in the right direction. If you fill the meter up, you have enough time left to ride for the meter to drain, during which time you can use the mounted punisher, which also is self aimed

    As a call back to your monster hunter world play through all the way back against shara ishvalda well about 75% way through the fight you may have missed something. That shara’s eyes opened to look not at the hunter but rather the person controlling the hunter as shara knew who the real threat was and through out the whole fight shara stares into the camera

    • @johnny8363
      @johnny8363 4 місяці тому

      He doesn't actually look at the camera since he doesn't have any programming in his AI for that, but Capcom created a very good illusion in that sense, Shara has a lot of inspiration in Buddhism and a technique is often used in the creation of Buddha statues which is to make their eyes appear to always be looking directly at you regardless of your point of view, Like other monsters, Shara looks directly at the hunter he is actively attacking, but thanks to the size and shape of the eyes the illusion that he is looking at the camera is possible, which is even more impressive than simply programming him to follow the camera, It is extremely more difficult to create this kind of illusion in a game with a third-person camera.
      So he technically doesn't face the camera but it's made to look like he does
