Hey man thanks for this series much appreciated and I learnt a lot . As a road car racer Drifting is completely different to me and I just built a D4 RWD Was great to go over your videos to see where can make it better.. Cheers
Thanks for doing these vids. I have a D4 on the way and now a list of parts to get...lol. I am loving the high grip mods. I can't wait to start modding.
apart from your front setup everything else you did is very similar to mine except I added 3mm kickup in the front lower arm mounts and used tapered 4 hole pistons in the rear the yeah racing damper pistons the holes are a tad bigger and I feel that having bound and rebound differant is a good way to go and I use 200cst rear oil and 55wt in the front so it is interesting to see other peoples setups and how they differ from mine
long time bro...thanks for explaining in such detail:) made it easier for me. also I'm running 1 degree town in rear I like it more than the 3 and 0. The rest I have set up like urs expect my pistons that will be easy tho. Like you said front is most important.
+Eric Dunlap thanks for watching and enjoying the videos. it is awesome to see you adapting with our setup and adding your own setup to make the car handle best for your driving style.
Hey man, just away to build a D4 RWD so watched your videos to get some tips which are great thanks. I noticed you have the battery mounted at the rear, is this better for drifting? Thanks
hey man I recently bought this chassis based off your video series about it thanks ! I just need help on what electronics to get for it what would you recommend I would appreciate a list of the ESC,motor, radio, etc... thanks in advanced it would be a big help
Ok not a worry I've seen some mad Japanese guys with no gyros was wondering who else may be doing the same. I'm far from that skill level but it's all in the fun.
We found that it was possible to drive without it but with the high grip setups that we run it didn't work well on tight technical courses. You can't steer fast enough manually to catch the car on quick switches.
I have a new D4 RWD on the way, it'll be my first rc drift car so I just watched all your videos, very helpful & informative thanks. What is the reason for you having the battery mounted at the rear? Would you say a gyro is essential for the RWD?
+Wolf-Werks _ I know because I bought new front hubs from 3racing & they are different from the original ones. Also the upgrade hubs allow for more adjustments.

Did you adjust the ackerman in a special way or did you just use toe out in the front?
I know its an old video but what are the rear tyres? Or is it the same hpi type a tyres with different Profile? Looks like different compounds

Where can I get the rr+0 d3 toe plate?
Also, why battery in the back, wouldn't that place most of the weight in the rear? Don't you shoot for 50-50% weight distribution?
Can you do a hpi sprint 2 aging with a rwd conversion and your thoughts on it?
Hi bro nice videos... I brought a new version the d4 with mono shok... Mayby you can make a new video for that version..?
Thanks for the vids, learning a lot!

Hey man love the show your going to help me alot with my d4 i just brought from rc mart.
are you using rwd with out without a gyro?
We use gyro's on all our RWD cars.
Ok not a worry I've seen some mad Japanese guys with no gyros was wondering who else may be doing the same. I'm far from that skill level but it's all in the fun.

Mainly we were after consistency and fun tandem. Gyro's far all :)

Jarrod Brown hi The knuckles are made by yokomo and it is the DIB knuckle
