To date, this is honestly, in my opinion, the best game I've ever played. Its ultimately set itself up as my favorite game of all time, even beating the new god of war. I'd stumbled upon this game by accident a long time ago, and it makes me want to get a Wii again just to play it.
I tracked down the special edition of this game because I got tired of waiting for Nintendo to remember that they own such a masterpiece. Truly such an underrated masterpiece that at one point had so many people clamoring for it and while it actually was very successful for Xceeds (publisher outside of Japan) and Nintendo, many seem to have forgotten what a true work of art this game is.
Since getting this game on release, I have thought about it and this song almost every day since. I hope this gets a remaster and the love and fans it deserved.
From 4:49 to 5:47, probably the very best moment in video game music history till date. The way this awesome tune merge with the main theme, the tempo, the timing, the two different tones... it tie the love story and the drama this song represents with the very core of the whole tale in such a precise and elegant way. As you watch the credits, and you remember all the things you have played, watched and lived, you know they will stick with you for the rest of your life, warming your heart, forever. Nobody has done that, ever, not even the master Uematsu itself in other games. Like I said, the very best moment in video game music history.
To be fair, it's a musical feature called a motif, and plenty of people have done it in various forms; but the use of the main theme's motif here is unexpected and brilliant. The two themes intertwining also represents the duality and the contrast in the game's story, and it's a really evocative and well composed piece. One of the best I've heard from any video game for sure.
THIS PART!!!! Really, it is also my favorite part! It becomes so intense! I love so much this song, I played in a hard moment in my life and it gave me so much comfort.
This game is truly my favorite Rpg of all time, it was able to squeeze the maximum out of the Wii resources (in cinematics) was just amazing. The OST also a true jewel. A kinda simple and short game but very enjoyable. I played this when i was a kid and hearing the ost almost 10 years later hits hard, for sure i'm going to play it again. Obviously recommended for the ones who havent played it yet. I still got hope we can play a remastered or HD version someday but that's impossible (one of the responsables of the game said like 2 years ago that he don't like remakes and prefers to make a new game) so yeah, remains only a dream 😭😭😭💔💔💔💔 (sorry if my english is bad)

This for me means finally being able to cry. After wanting to for so long but only having dry eyes. To FEEL again after being so depressed. Tears flow and just... relief.
This game and Zelda have profoundly inspired me as a child, defining the person that I'm now, and I'm glad of it. I really hope that one day I'll get to play it again. These games have a soul :')

I've played through this game at least 5 times and every time this song comes on at the end I get such a calming sensation i don't know why but I love it so much. This is the best game I've ever played.
Same here I remember I pre-ordered the game and was about to come out in June, it got delayed in July 2013 than August 13th finally I was pissed it happened twice it was totally worth it. 🙂
there's something about it, it just really hits right in the feels....especially when you hear it later on or towards the end.......and you just think back through everything you've been through.....it's an amazing song ^_^
@@kaypete8471 The Wii deserves its credit on the graphical front. We should always judge a hardware on its capabilities, not the era it's in and the Last Story is something the Wii should be proud of. Legit has Assassins Creed 1 levels of impressiveness.
Mistwalker commercial failure is the sadest memory from the 360/PS3/Wii generation. While I did not like Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey is a pure masterpiece and The Last Story was a beautiful experience with a lot of magic this track captures so well. The gameplay was also really innovative, a lot more than Xenoblade. My best Wii game by far, so happy to have the collector edition.
Last night I fell asleep listening to music, and when I got back up, this song was playing. Easily the most amazing experience waking up I've ever had!
Imagine a Definitive Edition, just like Xenoblade Chronicles: Characters Models remastered and re-recorded soundtrack. And also,, imagine if they bring back the Multiplayer Mode, that would be sick... 💔
GoldenOracle64 Same here brother. I wasn't really big into JRPGs until this and Xenoblade came out and changed my views for the better. I'm now still going back to classic JRPGs I never played and loving every minute and it's all thinks to this and Xenoblade. I helped campaign for this, Xenoblade, and Pandora's Tower to come out in the US with Operation Rainfall back in the day. Still glad to have been a part of that. Even though I personally fell in love with Xenoblade more than The Last Story (Xenoblade is one of my favorite games ever), this game is still amazing and has a permanent spot in my heart.

Sakurai is a huge fan of The Last Story. Still, it won't happen unless it gets a remake, port or somehow becomes relevant again, as Zael was very close to make the cut in Smash 4.

Hoping this one day also gets some kind of sequel. This game gets a lot of flack though I thought it was pretty interesting and fun. The music is beautiful and while the graphics were odd, they had that Final Fantasy feel (granted, due to this game being like a spiritual successor in a way). Also, SaphirNischara, love your Caplin avatar! Bunnycats are my favorite mostly, but yeah.
people giving this game flack are mostly not being objective. This game looked fantastic for a wii game back when it was released and the gameplay was pretty good. Probably they shouldn't have made autoatacking when moving and a lot more success would've came its way. Look back in 2010 and see how many protagonists were like zael. Most protagonists in jrpgs (with a few exceptions of course) are completely fking imbeciles when it comes to romance but zael fkin knows who he likes and is not afraid or shy to admit it which was such a breath of fresh air compared to how everyone beats around the bush in this type of games. Also the soundtrack was great and the game had a few unfucking believable moments. Zael turning off knighthood in the most badass way possible and walking about like a boss, Therius instantly winning 1000 cool points as he stood in front of all those knights who were ordered to bring zael back. Than him(zael) snatching callista and running with her) freakin epic :)

@@coffe1191 They're developing Fantasia. A game for Apple Arcade. But many remaster are made by other dev recentlly, Bluepoint made the Demon's Souls and Shadow of the Colossus remake. Saber something like this made The Witcher 3 on Switch. Etc.
The last story 2 as an expanded game pushing a more character deputed story with even better gameplay would make my year maybe with some elements mixed in from white knight chronicles 1and2 as a crossover to gameplay mechanics
A mi, no me gusta Pandora's Tower tanto como los dos otros juegos. No es mal, pero no me cautivaba mientras Xenoblade Chronicles y The Last Story hicieron. I didn't like Pandora's Tower as much as the other two. It's not bad, but it didn't captivate me while Xenoblade Chronicles and The Last Story did.

Was ist mit Final Fantasy 6 (3 Snes USA) ? Dort hat eigentlich jeder Soundtrack zu der Situation und den Charakteren gepasst. Celes in der Opere Locke und Rachel, Setzer und Daryl. Man erkannte die Emotionen und Verbindungen der Charaktere in ihren Melodien. Und dann nicht den Endkamoftheme vergessen, der Kefkas ganze Geschichte und Charakter erzählt. Meiner Meinung nach gehört FF6 auch in die Liste :)

A mi, no me gusta Pandora's Tower tanto como los dos otros juegos. No es mal, pero no me cautivaba mientras Xenoblade Chronicles y The Last Story hicieron.
I didn't like Pandora's Tower as much as the other two. It's not bad, but it didn't captivate me while Xenoblade Chronicles and The Last Story did.

Xenoblade Chrobicles hat aber meinung noch die betsen Sounds
Welche sounds von spielen gefällt dir am besten?
Was ist mit Final Fantasy 6 (3 Snes USA) ?
Dort hat eigentlich jeder Soundtrack zu der Situation und den Charakteren gepasst. Celes in der Opere Locke und Rachel, Setzer und Daryl. Man erkannte die Emotionen und Verbindungen der Charaktere in ihren Melodien. Und dann nicht den Endkamoftheme vergessen, der Kefkas ganze Geschichte und Charakter erzählt.
Meiner Meinung nach gehört FF6 auch in die Liste :)
