Shadow has a set of tricks to use when he wants to incubate the eggs and make Jackie leave faster or when he wants to stay longer. Some of these tricks were used today. Which of them is your favorite? Do you remember Shadow's tricks from last season? You can see some of them here: ua-cam.com/video/O1fbdGkO2Po/v-deo.html
One of the tricks I saw Shadow do is step backwards and pretend to bump into her and then he covered her with his tail. That must be his signal letting her know he wants a turn because she let him incubate the eggs after he did that! It’s fascinating to watch them communicate with each other in their own secret language 😂
I love seeing Shadow and Jackie work together as a team. I hope we see at least 1 baby eaglet this year! They’re such caring parents and will take excellent care of their offspring just like they did for Spirit a few years ago ❤
they're really getting that bottom of nest looking soft/comfortable for (hopefully) 3 babies. loved the part of title: "shadow, should i incubate you?" - made me laugh!
I've learned so much more this year. Thank you for helping us. I have a owl who yells first thing in morning and right at dusk. Total difference in my looking at him. He moved this year though people were pushing him away because of their cars.
I think the spot above Jackie eye is a stain. There's another much smaller one above the same eye. I see Jackie is very beautiful and healthy, and I don't think the stain is affecting her health wise. They certainly are taking care of the eggs, the nest, and each other very well. What a close bond they have!
@TonyGalla-kw4hw Yes, I also think it is just a stain. However, nobody knows exactly what it is. Yes, their bond is very strong. They are amazing! 🦅🦅❤️😍
Was wondering about that mark above Jackie's eye too - she was favoring an eye for a couple of days earlier this winter and perhaps that mark was where she got poked with something?? 🦅 😍
The look on Shadow's face at 19:08🤣🤣 he really wants to stay and incubate some more 🥰 what a great dad and partner! So nice that Jackie let him arrange her fluff over the eggs 🥚🥚🥚 She is the queen 👑 Oh dear Fiona 😅😂 you live so dangerously!
@annetteortiz7766 Shadow is called the Stickman for this reason. He just likes to bring sticks to strenghten the nest and to make Jackie leave the nest earlier so that he could incubate the eggs. 😁😍❤
I have thought that Jackie has been looking a bit unkempt recently. I was a tad worried. I hope she is just tired and nothing serious is wrong ❤ Edited to add: she looks a lot better today! That spot could be a few things… she could have bonked her head into a branch, it could just be dirt, or she lost a feather. ❤
@shibui99 Nobody knows exactly what the smudge is. It appeared in late January. Jackie takes fluff from trees, bushes, and the lake. There are sometimes pieces of reed brought to the nest, too.

I've seen Shadow dropped a stick from the air on Jackie's back. 😁🦅🦅
Jackie revenged on the same trick to him. 😂
That was so much funny.! 🤣😂

Shadow bombing Jackie with sticks when he comes into the nest … 🪹🦅🦅💥… WATCH OUT JACKIE. 😂😂
Let's pray the bird flu leaves this beautifull family alone. God bless you . I live to see this family grow.
I swear, Jackie has a soft spot for Fiona! If she really wanted to, Fiona could have been a midnight snacky snack 😂❤
@buffalokay 😁❤️
They Love their eggs, such great parents...
Shadow was like “My turn” ❤
@buffalokay 😁👍
@njxx1a Yes, they are very good parents. 🦅🦅❤️😍
They behave just like most married couples. Squabbling over this or that but there is a lot of love between them

@whitedove2543 Yes, they work together very well. I hope so, too. ❤️🤞
I love these 2! They are just like married couples, arguing over things. 😅
@teenachristy977 Indeed! 🦅🦅❤️😁
I'm so glad ! finally brought a lot of fluffs
@syrup6386 Indeed! ❤️👍
Thank you i enjoyed watching Shadow and Jackie such beautiful eagles and your commentary was great 🎉

@beavis4play Yes, it looks much more comfortable now. I'm glad that you like the title! Thanks a lot! 😍❤️🥰👍
You can see how the nest is getting padded more as the eggs incubate. It seems like Jackie brings the fluff, and Shadow does the distributing.
These two are THE sweetest pair ~ love watching their antics together. 🦅🦅💙🩷
@jenniferwillcox Yes, they are amazing! I love watching their antics, too. ❤️😍🦅🦅👍
They are so lovely
@lyncressler2608 ❤️❤️❤️
Fiona you may need laugh with your antics. Poor Jackie disturbed sleep 😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
@lesleywood76 🐿️🤣❤️👍
So where does Shadow sleep at night? Is he protected from the elements? I worry about him too!!❤❤ Good work co-parenting!!! Humans take note😅❤❤
They have their favorite tree where they usually sleep. The nest is for babies.
He sleeps on the roost (aka the branch) ❤
@cookiehooks8492 Shadow sleeps in one of the nearby trees.

@barbarajohnson1348 Thanks a lot for your nice comment! Have a great day! ❤️😍👍
I like owls, too. It's a pity your owl has moved.
They are so dedicated! I love how Shadow uses the tree branch for take off. Jackie doesn't do that, as a rule.

I truly hope you’re right. I’ve noticed what I thought was Jackie looking a little run down lately. I hope it’s just dirty floofs ❤

@sarahmarks7082 That smudge appeared a little later, so it's hard to say. ❤️

@sarahmarks7082 Yes, he really insisted on staying! The look on his face was hilarious. 🤣👍 🦅❤️🐿️😍
💐❤️👍
💚💜👋👍🥰🤗💙
@sharonperry5213 ❤️❤️❤️👍
Why does shadow bring a new stick to the nest 🪺 most of the time?

@ he is such a great daddy ❤️❤️🥰
What is that black dot on top of Jackie's right side head? Also, the fluff looks pretty wet, did Jackie get it from the lake?
I have thought that Jackie has been looking a bit unkempt recently. I was a tad worried. I hope she is just tired and nothing serious is wrong ❤
