Objectives: Cognitive dysfunction (CD) is common in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) but the cause remains unclear and treatment options are limited. We aimed to compare cognitive function in SLE and healthy controls (HCs) using both behavioural and neuroimaging techniques.
Conclusions: Sustained attention was impaired in patients with SLE. Poor attenuation of the DMN may contribute to cognitive impairments in SLE and our data suggest that in addition to mood and fatigue inflammatory mechanisms and organ damage impact cognitive functioning in SLE. The multifaceted nature of CD in SLE means any therapeutic interventions should be individually tailored.

Lupus caused me spinal damage and anxiety. I have adhd and it worsened all of my psycholgical symptoms. The pain it caused, bad. I still have my intelligence.

I have SLE and over the last several days I have had dizzy spells, a feeling that I’m drugged, flush face, tingling on face etc. Last night I was laughing and got very dizzy like I was going to pass out. Afterwards I could not get my 13 year old daughter birthday right. I was completely convinced the wrong date was right. She kept saying no mom. After 20 minutes I knew her birthday again just like I always have. It made me nervous and scared as to how I could have gotten it wrong and be so convencer that the wrong date was right. Should I go for a brain scan. I know lupus can attack the brain and I’m concerned. It’s been effecting my vision too while I’m walking.
Low vitamin D is common with lupus. Particularly if you’re sensitive to the sun. I have SLE. trying to bring up my vit d. It’s helped a bit.
There are days where I feel like I have amnesia or have had a stroke.
If you’re going to publish the graphs of correlations in the video you should also publish the p numbers etc. Not knowing how many possible correlations you looked at till you found one you liked makes the data kinda useless.

There is no such thing as a Lupus cure. Only therapeutic intervention via lifestyle changes and medications.
Extreme flares can lead to confusion, misinterpretation of everything and personality changes and irrational reactions due to confusion and inability to be in reality
