i love seeing vulnerability from frank. when he was first introduced in daredevil he was seen as some guy who turned his trauma into rage and just killed people for the thrill but seeing what he actually suffers is heartbreaking
It's one of the aspects that I liked the most about the series, which shows that Frank is not only a killing machine or someone who doesn't tremble when killing criminals, it also shows that he still cries for the death of his family and how They were everything to him and they also show him vulnerable in the people he trusts the most
After watching the punisher and the episodes he is in in daredevil I realized he is the most effective “hero” “antihero” in the mcu. And all of the avengers hero’s just put people in jail that don’t solve anything. It just prolongs their return.
I mean I feel Daredevil makes a good argument with Frank, both viewpoints have their merits. personally I'm more on the murder is bad team but thios show does a great job making you understand why Frank is the way he is and does the things he does.
There's arguements to be made for both killing and not killing villains. Frank I will say, is a necessary evil. He isn't someone you should want on your side, but know he is needed in a fight. A man who is fine with bearing the violence, the kills, being a monster. The duality to that, being that it makes him barely better than those he kills. There is a line, and he chooses to be on the edge of it.
This is hands down the best written and acted character in the entire Marvel universe, and this is the most real and intense relationship too. There is nothing that comes even remotely close. Punisher/Daredevil shows in general make the rest of the MCU look like it's written and acted by a bunch of school kids.
There is no winning his war though his family is GONE that life is over for him but he's hypervigilant now of crime and corruption that are ruining other innocent lives he can fight those battles because they are not his own. It's a grief cycle but he is not at the acceptance stage for him that means he may as well just die too because he accepts his life is over anyway. Very sad and realistic character.
FR when they were in the elevator in The Punisher show, s1e10, their foreheads were touching and I was like "come on now...just a bit closer..." and then they didn't kiss and I was like "Fine! I'll take the forehead touch as your first kiss😒"
I just realised in this scene Jon Bernthal really could be the Robert de Niro of his generation and yet he's given barely any major roles outside of TV, he's fucking phenomenal in this, Daredevil and The Bear, I mean the emotional range of this guy is absolutely astounding.
By this scene, I understood the punisher is the product of a failed system. He became the force of nature that will stop for good what the system can't.
The problem is, this type of thing would never happened in real life, it’s based on a comic book BUT what if someone really lost their family to the point they break down, would they want revenge or don’t try to pursue the people responsible? See the thing is, Frank castle just so happens to be in the military with many years of combat experience and weapons handling which helps him to defeat his family’s killers
If you've seen anime Psycho Pass, You will see the relationship of Kogami and Akane.They understand and care about each other, but they weren't dating. Because of Kogami as a criminal and Akane as an officer , like the relationship between Frank and Karen. 😭

I related to certain things in movies or shows,...quotes&speeches about what's truly in the depths of this blackness we call a soul.What he says about the laughs and it now just being echos,that he don't hear their laughter anymore...always made me see I was losing sight of unconditional happiness&love. This was a great show!

For me, this scene brings it all together. The moment I saw this scene I understood completely why Frank does what he does without mercy.
