Anyone notice how Frank couldn't even stand to stay and watch her leave... It was too heartbreaking for him to watch another daughter/child of his leave his life
i cried a little during this scene...after frank loses his entire family, amy is like his daughter. loved it. Frank being loveless, a murder, etc, took him so long to finally be able to let out some love. Sometimes...you find things (or someone)...and they change your life
saddest thing is that because he loved her as a daughter he had to let her go. Amazing acting performance here. Just look how he gets more and more paranoid while he opens up. It could be because its diffcult for him to express himself so he get uncofortable. It makes even more sense that he is worried that someone see that he cares about her. He knows that would put a target on her.
i didnt cry but the pain is there. Sucks that it had to end like that. Your comments is accurate. Frank is from a monster to someone who actually let out care for someone he know he could just have ignored.
I adore this scene for synergy of the dialog, its subtext, the music, and the emotion it invoked in me. Amy wanted a career where she could search for "hidden treasure" and she became one to Frank. She gave him a momentary trip back to fatherhood where he became her protective father figure and wound up saving her and she doing a similar thing for him.
The fact that Frank doesn't make too much eye contact is because he's always on edge, always analyzing his surroundings, looking for exits and places to take cover. PTSD acting at it's finest
The season wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't as strong as the first season. Its main issue was that its two storylines (Pilgrim and Russo) weren't strongly connected despite happening at the same time, so it led to Pilgrim's story phasing out for basically half the season after being what it opens on.
Nah I didn’t really enjoy it. And this is coming from a guy who loves the Punisher character. They make Frank into a guy who hesitates whether or not to kill someone, he would normally just kill em regardless. Too much going on at once as well like the story with Pilgrim and the plot with Frank and the Kid and Jigsaw. I’ve noticed little details as well that probably no one will ever notice. I like Bernthal, yes but he doesn’t have that punisher look like Stevenson did in Warzone, with the slicked back hair and big as fuck. I dunno that’s just me. Season 1 was way better. Although I liked him better in daredevil season 2 cause I liked it when you didn’t expect to see him in a scene, it was exciting
Just noticed the way that Amy hugs Frank, and he accepts it and kinda hugs her back. Which I think is really important in that, I doubt Frank would really let anyone else do that. I doubt he'd really ever let someone just put their arms around him, regardless of really anything. But here he's okay with it and embraces it.
You know most people wouldn't embrace the punisher in the first place and if they do they gotta be some serious wirdos that punisher needs to whoop. Amy is a different case, very good development, their relationship hits different

I get why comic lovers were bothered by this version of Frank but to be honest, the Punisher is a man, a sad, broken, lonely man. It's really nice to get this kind of spin on it where some people are able to work their way in.

Here we can see guardian and person being protected. Almost no scratch on her, and Frank is almost as cut as this series' Jigsaw. As a long time fan of The Punisher, I didn't initially like all of the choices but over time I warmed up enough to get into it. The second season got unexpectedly emotional and really became quite blunt, sad, and renewing all at the same time. I must admit I was on the verge of tears myself, their relationship really did run deep by the end. I only wish she became Rachel, who as we know from the comics is like what Robin was to Batman. She would've made the perfect Rachel, together they'd have cleaned up New York, gunning down the criminals that prey on the weak and innocent.
