    I love these guys. World champions with small egos. It's incredible.
    Don't forget about the skill level of Bernardo. He was a 4 or 5 time world champion. I think people watch these videos and don't realize how great he is. If he is Impressed with something, it says something. He isn't just a beginner or new black belt.

      True that’s! I use that counter too when they try to do an outside entry or imanari roll.

      Rafa and the Ruotolo bros were doing backtakes like this from different positions but
      Kaynan pulled that off on the biggest stage when he took Craig's back and tapped him.

      @@spyrospyliolekkai4587 plenty athletes use this style of backtake, it’s disingenuous to say we’ve never seen it from single leg x

      i agree a bit click-baity title. but i think Bernardo was referring to his back take drill, which i also think is great and definitely gonna use this method in getting people used to the position!

      He does the Pretzelbolo / topside berimbolo all the time. He used a variation to take Craig Jones' back and submit him (against his outside ashi), and he almost used it to complete a back take on Gordon Ryan (against his saddle).

    I know you need to promote your guys but this is not new, I teach this to my white belts, Kaynan is also a steroid user so his status as a JJ instructor who should be looked up to is questionable at best, Lachlan (who beat Kaynan at ADCC) said anyone caught using should give their medals back and I agree. If this sport is EVER to be taken seriously we need to be clean and people like YOU Bernardo need to lead the way.

    • @badxradxandy
      @badxradxandy 2 роки тому +3

      Steroids don't make you better at BJJ, by your own example of Lachlan beating him shows that.

    • @GrappleHeavy93
      @GrappleHeavy93 2 роки тому +1

      Several of the Gracies have also failed the drug tests for steroids and other PEDs before. I guess we should forget them too right?

    • @SammyhWorld
      @SammyhWorld 2 роки тому +3

      As much as I don't like steroids usage it doesn't take away the fact that the dudes knows the techniques that he talks about. Further more you shouldn't tell anybody how they should work or who should lead the way. Maybe grow your own UA-cam channel and only invite guests whom you find is clean.

    • @jacquedegatineau9037
      @jacquedegatineau9037 2 роки тому +2

      This is not the truck. Similar, but leg is entangled a diff way.

    • @whittazhau
      @whittazhau 2 роки тому +3

      It's not the truck. You're entangled the leg differently. I personally switch to the truck mid roll while using this

    • @brandonmcninja
      @brandonmcninja 2 роки тому +2

      It’s not the truck. The idea is super close, but different techniques open up because of the different leg placement.
