@@turkiye.facts.genius I've been to your country and I'm biased towards it too! Let's hope we get a South America DLC and can form the great Inca/Lima empires again 😄
just started playing the game and i’ve found your channel, really great stuff, a lot of hoi creators make the game seem really complicated and meta based, so i really appreciate the laid back content
Thank you for making this video!!! I love minors but I can never really play with them and get the full experience, but hopefully this will make it better!!
It's a bit counter-intuitive, but you can actually go down the fascist branch of the generic tree without flipping to fascism or hiring the demagogue. This allows you to pick up the manpower boosts (which are really useful as any minor nation). Also - minor (heh) correction - European minors with a generic tree start with three research slots, and minors in general can get 5 research slots, you just need to complete the Technology Sharing focus to get the 5th if you started with 2 slots.
I'm happy for the compliment but sad you don't think I streamline my content 😂 I try to keep it to the point without unnecessary stuff while still keeping my personality in there, so I'm hoping that's what you mean!
When would you start doing industry the earliest? Is it worth waiting for Industry 3, or is it fine to take Industry 2 (which is only like 0,5 year head) to start building factories sooner?
You should be building civs from day 1 always. There's no exception, except for the USA. Then you would switch to mils about a year or so before you think you'll be at war, most countries in a historical game that'll be about 1938/39
Hi! I am still very new to the game, how do you usually prioritise the focus tree progression for nations that have them? I get quite lost on what to focus on usually.. spending like 15 minutes to decide a focus each time. And then since I'm new I am tempted to use space marines... like say for British Malaya on Road to 56 mod, would it be viable? Planning to play with AI only for the foreseeable future, I've the subscription pass for the DLCs because I don't own the latest 2 DLCs. Also, how do i determine when to annex and when to puppet? I saw from somewhere about puppetting + reparations, and then somewhere else writes to just annex, or some says to puppet purely for manpower... all the different strategies are overwhelming so say for a tiny country like Malaya I'm not sure what tip applies where
Welcome! And great question, you're pretty much always better off going for the civilian industry focuses, followed by any political focuses but it also depends a lot on what you're trying to achieve. But the earlier you grow your industry (civ factories) the stronger you'll be!
@@hammotimee Ahhh, thank you! So I've been playing it wrong! I had like 4 mils at the end of 1940 and was just generally excluded from all the world events because I had nothing producing anything by that time.. By any chance you'll make a video about templates for newbies in general? Maybe line troops (like the infantry "hold-the-line" ones), elite, or even more specific ones (like space marines(?)), or at least a guide on how to fight as a minor, please? I do watch some channels like bittersteel, ISP, and feedback and it all felt like an art to me to be honest lol
@@PathOfDamn Hahha yep gotta grow those factories! Check out my beginners guide playlist, I've got a tutorial on the industry if you need. And lucky for you, I've still got this bad boy which works to this day: ua-cam.com/video/aizLm3MvrwE/v-deo.html&ab_channel=HammoTimee

They won't for the first few nations, but eventually they do, despite the Monroe doctrine. You can get past it if you keep your personal tension below 10% 😁
Cores are states which are a part of your nation, and that you doin't have resistance or compliance built up in. Basically any states you've not conquored!
🙈 Do you like playing the generic nations? Let me know your favourite below!
@Heinz Guderian sensational
i like peru, definitely no bias seeing as im from there

I am trying to play minor nation like Hungary and restore the empire but play as a nation with the generic focus tree is a big challenge for me
Ukraine
Good video, you must really love minors!
😐
Bruh moment
Who doesn’t?
Bro Set a trap 💀
What the Hell.
I love playing minor nations as it feels more laid back somehow…
its super fun!
I kinda like the generic tree because it is powerful by giving a minor nation extra building slots and factories even if you only have 1 state
It's great for new players too!

Small thing: The US won't intervene, as you are also guaranteed by them as an American Nation

good video, but what are cores tho, i'm fairly new to hoi4
Cores are states which are a part of your nation, and that you doin't have resistance or compliance built up in. Basically any states you've not conquored!
So it's not worth it to stat building infrastructure first on minors
Nah man wouldn't reccomend. I'd say the prioritiy order would be Civs>Mils>Infra
This video is underated
Thank you so much! Share it with your friends 🍔🍟🍔
