- A quick review of part of my process for some old jazz standards. 3 versions here. A quick review of the original midi stub. Not sure where it came from but I suspect it was a fellow named Wesley Dick. He did hundreds of old jazz standards & made a lot of the original BIAB midi files.
If you want to catch the final product we did for Marks channel, you can also go to his channel to hear it there too. I changed the slide show up a bit.
• Moonlight in Vermont ...
1. So here we have a sampling of the original Midi version
2. A sampling of my version with MIDI traded out for actual instruments & a great sax solo by ???? I think the great Canadian sax player, Jack Stafford.
Once you have the wav files in your DAW you can delete the original tracks & add your own. Keep some, lose others. In this case we dumped the MIDI melody as Mark's vocal took its place & was the melody. We dumped the background piano & added rhythm guitar. You can record your own rhythm or solo parts or anything for that matter. For the intro & the solo I used Rob Ickes (Rhymes with Bikes) on resonator. Neil Swainson on bass & Terry Clarke on drums I believe.
I am closing down my Lawrs channel bit by bit & moving everything here.
Just what was needed... so very pretty... calming... and soothing... loving the dreamy ambience ...very elegant and charming 🙏🌹

Thanks again, Shake. Most of these easy listening jazz songs I did not send out to the feeds as I had done that on my other (mostly shutdown) channel as I didn't want to bother everybody a 2nd time. Of course, Mark's voice & great mixing made it sound so much better. Appreciate the visit as usual.
Sure Mark's voice adds a lot .Have a great weekend : )
This sounds great! Looks like BIAB is a good tool for this.
Hey, Dale! Thanks for coming by. BIAB is a great tool, especially for jazz standards as it can use actual instruments instead of midi as shown here. Or you can mix & match them. PG Music has over the years updated (every year) to included all other genres as well,,, pretty much. Blues, Metal, rockabilly, folk, etc. All top notch studio cats. It's like having your own Wrecking Crew.
Hey Beauti! Marvellous. Get down to this! Creative! This enjoyable scenes!
A visit too.
Thank you so much for stopping by, Roven. I really appreciate the visit.
