Revealing Mystery Slip Casting Moulds I found on Gumtree - Part Fourteen

- This is the series where I reveal what is inside these pottery moulds I found on Gumtree.
The story goes, I found a listing on gumtree for pottery stuff. When I arrived the seller said 'I have all these pottery moulds would you like them as well?' and I said 'why not'. On the way home, I had the brain child to do a social media video series revealing what each mould is.
The mystery is in the fact that I had no idea what I had said yes to, some of the moulds are labelled and easy to tell but some of them are a little more difficult. The beauty is that all of the plaster moulds surprise you no matter the presentation of labels, titles or identifiable faros inside.
So come join me as I dive into this series and share the mould fun. I would love to hear any information you may have on the moulds and to let me know any stories you have that the moulds remind you of in the comments.

Been working my way through this series randomly, very enjoyable. I love the pink mug it evokes rose petals being scattered and blown, the others are like botanical studies. Thank you for such a variety of styles. 💜

An Australian flora set of 4 mugs would be nice. I loved the wattle ones. Would be nice with a dot of white highlight on some of those yellow wattle buds. Love this video x 💕

These are all gorgeous! Would love to see more like the 4th mug with different combinations of colours... I think a blue/teal combo would be incredible!

I got asked to do a video with more relaxing painting shots and less talking so give the people what they want, but I won't stop doing the normal voice overs, just adapt them to the reveal. This one didn't need an extensive explanation as I really just had fun painting it!

So relaxing watching you paint. I love how you paint right up to the lip/mouth of the mugs, the bottle brush was descending down. So fascinating!
Thank you so much! My ceramic teacher (when I did a short course on it) said it was really unoriginal to paint like that because it doesn't view the piece as a canvas and just paints to the vessel. I didn't care much for that advice because I love the way our native descend down so it was only natural to go against my ceramic teachers advice and have them descend down from the mug too!

These are my favorite so far I think! I love how you can turn such a simple cute mug into a beautiful detailed mug! It is so relaxing and inspiring! I love the pink flowered one with the green leaves. If you do decide to add these to the things you sell I think I’d have to make it a priority to buy one. I love these videos so much 💜
No boring mugs here! hahahah! I think I look at simple shapes sometimes and think, how can I make this filled to the brim with colour! I think they will be a reoccurring thing as they are just so delightful to make and the shape is so gorgeous! Ive already poured four more for the next restock!

I love watching you turn ordinary pieces of pottery into functional works of art. I love the colors and visual textures you add while keeping the tactile texture as smooth as possible.
I remember using smaller plaster molds in my middle school art classes and getting to paint them. I loved projects that involved working with clay and my teacher indulged me on that for years.
Love love love these. The wattle and the gum trees blossoms and wonderful. The multipink coloured mug is an absolute stunner.
The stained clay mug is amazing! I also love the two wattle ones the detail and shades make them multidimensional and so life like!
I am so happy you liked them! I usually do the yellow and then a glint of white on the wattle but this time I tried the different colours alone and I actually really love it! SO fun to mix the different colours too!

Shelby, I don’t know if you’ll ever see this comment, as I’ve started back when you first started. But these mugs are gorgeous. I use to do ceramics back in the 80’s, but not the pouring etc. just the painting and then paying to have them fired. Your work is beautiful.
I'm so glad I deided to watch these on the youtube, I only recently found you on instagram and saw you did the full vidios so here I am. I loooove the way the pink mug turned out, even though its not my particular colour at all and the Golden Wattle design is gorgeous! I'd order a set if I knew they'd make it to the UK in one piece. gorgeous work and I can't wait to see if they crop up again in the future.

I use reused bubble wrap and biodegradable packaging so it will arrive nice and safely!

Found your channel, and now binge watching. I have to admit I prefer this three toned wattle. The depth of the artwork really attracts my eyes. It matches the flowering gum better as that have three or four colours to the petals. Please continue with the multi coloured pink mugs as well. Very striking. Now I have to look up your shop, I believe I have something I’d love to give to friends as presents.👍❤️🌹
These are great. I like flowers but the abstract purple/pink/maroon one is my favorite!
I think the curves of the mug lend really well to the hanging florals, it gives them movement.

These mugs turned out amazing! I love them. The one with the pinks on it is just...wow! The flowers are gorgeous too. Maybe a set like the pinks one, each mug a different color palette.

I know many people have said it, but I love the test/experiment mug. From a distance, just before you took it out of the kiln, it almost looked like a koi fish design.
