Noiselund feat. Red Letter Media - Forty Eight

- A song about odds. Mike thinks of a number and wants the others to guess what it is. There's also a bit of Chocolate Rain, a short flipbook animation and a flatulent lady that's being fondled by a pervert.

Just a fun little thing about the song: it is in 148 bpm, the video is 3:48 long and there are 48 bass slaps sampled from that lottery video funk song that Jack liked :)
This reminds of an episode of Star Trek where Data has to send the number 3 back in time to save the Enterprise and it shows up everywhere.
Ok calm down Maynard James Keenan
I cant fucking believe that.
and rich evans with be the 48th president of the united states.
I love math pop!
Noiselund has turned Rich Evans into my favorite instrument of all time.
Ive always said he has a magical musical laugh, like an angel with a harp
The chocolate rain sample is genius
Thank you kindly. Tay Zonday is brilliant!
Doesn't take a doctor to figure that one out.
Astonishing. I moved away from the mic to gasp.
@@noiselund Zendaya
It makes Chocolate Rain sound like an actual song, lol. The original is way more bizarre and repetitive than I remember.
I wish to place in the comments for historical context; that there were two seperate attempts to guess a number between 1 and 100.
1st attempt was a total failure, no one got it.
2nd attempt, Rich got it on the first try.
You're doing the Lord's work!!!
I prefer to think them unreasonably reacting to 30+ guess for a 1 in 100 number.
@@ModifiedMiata Me too, that way their reaction is snake oil salesman levels of exaggerated.
Now you have to explain why it's also feat Tay Zonday
The 2nd attempt was also the only provable one, which also makes it interesting
I like how seriously Mike talked about the lottery like he legitimately wanted to inform people instead of fuck with them for once in this episode.
Agreed, and it really is such a stupid thing to throw your money away on considering the odds. Unless you're Rich Evans that is!
which makes it so much funnier that this happened.
Scratch off cards are much better, you either win or don’t on the spot and 1/3 of the time you win the cost of the card back anyway
@@DuskLegend So for a time I was actively rooting to not win back your money for that 1/3rd of the time, because losing tickets were worth points, and i'd put in so many, I have a 40-50 inch tv from it, got my first ever blu ray player from it, was a great promotion like 15 years ago. The losers worth so much more. Especially when people would just throw a stack away, it was free points.
That demonstration using 1-100 was really smart and simple and I never thought of it that way. I typed this elsewhere but look at how none of them got it right after dozens of guesses, and to win the grand prize on the lottery you have to guess *six numbers and be right six times in a row.* Rich got it right one time. In order to win the lottery, he'd then need to pull that off another 5 times without failing. The odds are basically nonexistent.
No one is going to believe that, but I do Rich, I do.
The chocolate rain interlude brought a tear to my eye
I want to believe.
Something something, Yayo's combat warcaskets, my rimrim 😉
I believe it as much as Mike believes in ghosts.
@@Musicvidsetc How embarrassing
Amazing that this episode was video proof that Rich is in fact a winner.
We don't have proof until RLM releases the uncut edit.
he's...undefeatable
Followed by proof that when it counts, he’s a loser.
After all of these years of crippling diabetes and Mike bullying him relentlessly, it's about time Rich caught a break.
We never again have to ask, “Whyy isssRichhh fffreakin’ ouut?!”
This is the weirdest numbers station I've ever tuned into
That's Numberwang!
That's numberwang
@@MrPlow-jc4crdang it!
Somewhere out there, a North Korean secret agent is saying "What the fuck?"
I love how this song implies he has guessed a million wrong numbers before finally landing on 48 lol.
That’s exactly what I thought, I thought their reaction was just a bit
The use of chocolate rain was great.
Rich went on to buy several lottery tickets. He won nothing.
He's fine though because he still has a lot of the money he won when he refused to move out of his mother's basement.
This should have been the opening ceremony of the Olympics. Truly a pinnacle of human endurance, spirit and achievement.
And that's Numberwang.
Oh shit. Remember Numberwang?! Damn, good memory.
can you imagine a best of the Worst episode with David Mitchell?
@@iamcinoFour black spine tapes, Mike? Four? That's insane!
Rich Evans Laughing is my favorite instrument😂
It's amazing how pitching his iconic laugh turns him into a great synth sound. lol
it's the feel good track of the summer
I know right! his mixes are so summer and nostalgia coded
You said it way better than I had it in my mind! 😂
I've never noticed before how much Mike looks like Fred Flintstone. Thanks again, Noiselund
I love that the sequence from 0:30 to 0:45 makes it look like they're hyped about Rich guessing the correct number after over a dozend attempts
the chocolate rain part killed me, the animated part afterward gibbed my corpse
What about teabagging?
Did you feel the pain?
When people ask you what instrument you play, do you just reply "the Rich Evans"?
He doesn't "play" Rich Evans. He is merely the conduit for Rich Evans to flow through.
🎵HA ha haha Ha ha ha..... Ha ha haha Ha ha Ha Haaaaaaaahhhh....🎵
The "birthday boy".
Indeed as @claytful says, it's more like a dance. Complicated and dangerous if you're unfocused, but can be very rewarding.
I think future generations from now, instead of teaching your kids ‘Chopsticks’ on the piano, they’ll be teaching them ‘Forty-Eight’ on The Rich Evans
This just proves what we all knew: Rich Evans' laugh is the music of the universe.
Yes! YESSSSSSS!
That autotuned Rich laughter just made my day.
Watched this episode with my roommate and as soon as it got to this part I said, "well, I know what's getting turned into a song"
Also, I love the animated style used here. We've grown accustomed to them looking grotesque in animated form, when they might look best as Hannah Barbera style!
Thank you so much! Very kind of you to say. I do enjoy those grotesque animations though, they're brilliant! But it was fun to draw them in a slightly different style 😊
Love the animation of Jack lol Like a dog. He's happy because everyone else is happy!
Haha thanks, I tried to capture his energy and positivity. I really love it when he's on these episodes.
@@noiselund I do too! He just seems like a good dude. I wish him and Rich would continue their videogame channel Previously Recorded. I miss them playing Bloodborne every month lol
I love that the way this is edited together makes it look like the 48 only came after the 3 billion guesses in the first game they played instead of a separate second game. Awesome song
I can't believe someone auto-tuned Rich's laugh into a melody.
I love how rich's voice is like created to be a instrument in the vocoder. Perfect match. THis is art.
Another Rich-core classic
Thanky!
I think this proves the range and depth one can get out of a Rich Evan’s laugh
Tay Zendaya!
Man that Chocolate Rain solo was sick...
"I swear to God this is amazing!"
"Jesus Christ!"
Yet again that Rich Evan's laugh is a instrument from the heavens.
Your expert playing of the Rich Evans really adds a sense of poignant urgency so lacking in today’s music.
This instrument is known as the _windbag._
The best of these videos are the ones where the guys are laughing together like this. The songs are clever, but it's that that makes me just sit here and smile.
Rich's laugh is literally music to my ears.
I want some of that cartoon Jack energy in my life!
You and me both friend!
The chocolate rain breakdown had me dying
The way this is cut, it's making them look absolutely sad for getting so excited at guessing a number out of a hundred on their fiftieth try.
[evil smile]
Rich's remixed laugh is pure gold.
❤
This is culturally, historically, and aesthetically significant
This was amazing. Really great work with the song and concept but also mixing in Chocolate Rain and the animated version!
All I know is that I now want a fully animated episode of Best of the Worst.
Look up Red Letter Media animated.
NEVER TELL ME THE ODDS!!!!!!
I can listen to this All day 👍🏻
Very happy to hear that! Thank you, please do 😊
HA HA HA-HA HAAAA HAA… so glorious. 😂 And working “Chocolate Rain” into it gives me the nostalgia tingles. Fantastic!
Thank you! 😄 Glad you liked it!
Mike: I have a number in my head and I want you to pick it
Rich: forty-ei--
Mike: WRONG
Bro was gonna guess it in one try
Just wonderful! I loved the flipbook animation. It reminded me in style of the Ricky Gervais Show. I'm glad you are still enjoying making these for us.
@@richardthompson6079 Thank you kindly mate! It's very much inspired by the Ricky Gervais Show and Hanna-Barbera in general :) I'm glad you still enjoy watching these things, many thanks!
0:43 lol Jack's deadpan is perfect
Tay Zonday and 48.
Living your life at the fullest!
The odds of Rich guessing 48 from a range of 1 to 100 is... incalculable!
I'm loving Cartoon Jack!
Needs to be a gif.
YES
2:10 "The diaphragm is just releasing now. *fart noise* And the release feels like... Chocolate Rain"
Noiseland is truly in the trenches making the word a better place fighting for every glorious square foot of meme-real estate.
this makes me smile so hard into my pizza pockets
Another banger, smiled my way through the whole thing.
@@TheBeta1337 Thank you! Happy to hear that 😊
In 99 other Parallels they just kept playing 'guess the number' for a while with no purpose or conclusion.
This is amazing. I cried laughing at Rich's laughing.
I've sung this in the car. There's no higher compliment I can give
I am honored! Thank you
Incredible
Thank you very much! I love your work
@@noiselund ty!!
the harmony and melody of Rich's laugh autotuned in this song is truly something angelic
Haha glad you think so! Thank you kindly
We don't deserve Rich Evans.
Is nobody talking about how Mike draws a “4”?
Chocolate Rain was an excellent inclusion
By internet legend... uh.. Ty Zondie?
No idea if you've auto tuned Rich's laugh before but it was magical
as always, my favorite part is Rich going "Haa haa haaa haaaa~🎶"
I'm watching this 48 times and that Chocolate Rain break is amazing!
Very much appreciated! Thank you sir!
That's numberwang!
You perfectly captured the vibe of turning a 1-in-100 chance into a 1-in-3.8-million win.
Lol thank you!
My boys love your songs. We play your playlist from Apple Music which are the 2024 hits of the summer 🤣 when will this get its fame to be downloadable? Keep up the great work 👏
So the way the music video is presented, it seems like he guesses 48 after like 40+ guesses, which almost feels like a statement. Another solid Noiselund RLM song.
As Mike said, I swear to God this is amazing!
the little post chorus bridge being rich’s cackle >>>>
Ty for auto tuning Rich's laugh, its almost asmr.
Rich's happiness is contagious
3000 years from now, this video will be discovered by internet archeologists and they are gonna be so damn confused.
I think people are confused now. Not even I am really sure of what kind of nonsense this actually is.
Still catchy, but if you haven't watched the episode it looks like Rich just kept going until he got it right.
Also i would've used Jack saying "Fuck it, 1-2-3-4-5-6" as a leitmotif between each section of the song because it was just so perfectly timed
Here comes Noiselund with another banger
What a way to wake up!! GOOD MORNING YOU ALL!!!
Morning bud!
I think that the people who are the real winners, are us, because we won this song.
A video worthy of commemorating one of the best moments in RLM history. So glad this got made, it's incredible.
I bet Jack regrets not counting to eight after seeing this. Would have been perfect...
My newest guilty pleasure.
To make Rich Evens laugh even more magical, Kudos.
Rich tilting his head back to laugh gives me life
RIP Tay Zonday
If you guys think this is amazing, there's also an episode of GMM where the same thing happened.
*On youtube: we drink as much caffeine as humanly possible*
The number was 71
The frequency of the vibrations produced by a Rich Evan’s laugh can aid in wound healing and inflammation reduction
That is science and also a fact.
Chocholate rain remix is legit beautiful.
Being sick here and woke up feeling really bad, some minutes after midnight. Needed to calm down, so I chose one song to make it so, and it worked.
And I swear to god, it is amazing!
Tackar för alla underbara låtar.
I now start my day with this song, because it shows me everyone can be a winner. Even Rich Evans
This version is funnier because they freak the hell out after 17 guesses and then freak out again after 27
John Moviephone will love this
Keep on rockin' in the RLM world!
🙏🤘
Why can't I stop smiling whenever I listen to a Noiselund-Redlettermedia music video???
Beats me, but I'm very happy you enjoy them! 😊❤ Thank you
THAT'S GOLD JERRY!
GOLD!! And thanks :)
I'm going to die a little bit inside if I ever find out that guessing 48 was just a bit...
I don't think it was, they're not THAT good at acting :)
THE CHOCOLATE RAIN SAMPLE??? this goes crazy dude thanks for making this
Man, it's a bit like calling one of your kids your favourite child, but I really believe that this is your best work yet! Including Chocolate Rain by Zendaya was a stroke of genius! The only thing missing was Fortnite Mike. Honestly, though, somebody show this to Tay Zonday! This is a masterpiece
Lol thank you kindly! Happy you liked it my friend!
Oooh now that's an earworm.
Haha, Rich Evans is worth his weight in gold 😂
