This is actually the “prequel” to that. This happened first before either of the two trials. The very first thing was the actual TPO then this one then the two trials on renewing the TPO.

There are many lawyers like her. That’s part of what you sign up for when being a lawyer. In a profession that relies so heavily on social connections, you gain points based on how you handle opposing counsel like this. My first job offer out of law school was from a DA I interned with. I was assigned probable cause hearings and went against an attorney like her everyday. My being unmoved by her antics was apparently uncommon in interns.

Ms.Sullivan and her attorneys/aunt didn't bring any evidence to get paid for their time when they were requesting attorneys fees. They try to skirt questions and have to be redirected by the judge. I'm not saying Lilly didn't do anything improper. She definitely threw shade. I'm just saying this isn't exactly the way you're spinning it. Judge Manning ends everything by reprimanding all the attorneys for their poor behavior.

Lets do this. Lets take away his home with a TPO. Lets make him loose his job by putting him in jail because he has a TPO and is still trying to get himself and her out of debt that the wife obviously helped create, but its still always on the man to provide all the money in a relationship which is like 1950s mentality. Then lets charge him with 3200 dollars in attorney fees when he gets out and is broke financially because he now owes or paid the bond. Why don't you just beat him with a stick like a bad donkey if you know what I mean (Carrot and the stick). The guy needs to be sanctioned for violating the TPO, but maybe do the jail on the weekends so he does not lose the job because of the situation of him paying her mortgage, and the bankruptcy. He probably does still sleep there with her there. She only calls the police when she gets mad at him.

I live debt free so when I hear of people having car payments on vehicles to the tune of over $20k it just kills me. I drive a 2019 vehicle, but was able to pay cash for it. When I want a big ticket item, I save for it. I just can't put myself into that much debt comfortably. It's one thing to have a mortgage, I can easily do that. But for anything else? Nope.

Guy is probably panicking, realizing not only he is about to lose everything and be in debt forever, but his ex will also lose everything and be in debt forever if they don’t sell that house. And as court proceedings tend to drag, his panic and anxiety may well be justified. Hi ex doesn’t realize its not just him that’ll be hurting. Shes cutting off her nose to spite her face. This is one main reason I never hitched. Whats mine is mine. If i lose it my own damn fault, but i worked my butt off for the house I have in the location that for me is heaven (on a lake with a forest abutting my house). No one is taking it from me just because they’re mad at me. Her lawyers seem more than willing to drag it all on….knowing full well their client will also be a major financial loser….but hey, they’ll get paid, more and more as long as this drags on. Everybody should have a prenup. Rich or poor. Young or old. What you come in with you leave with. What you acquire together gets liquidated to sell all mutual debts then split the balance. Thats it. So easy. Yes, if there are minor kids( as in under 16) its a little more complicated, but i still say sell the assets to look after debts then find another place and have the non custodial pay support. Enough with the nonsense the kids should stay put. Sometimes that is the worst thing for them. I have seen it too many times with my daughters’s friends, that after an acrimonious split that house no longer feels like a secure home to them anymore. Fresh starts are needed all the way around.
