this is great, such a bittersweet moment at the end when Jamie finally makes the extra pass and learns from Ted, only for it to be used against them. Powerful scene, this show is amazing
What's the context of it though? I haven't seen the show but would like to know why everyone looked so upset at the end.

I love how they take lassos general kindness as him playing mind games.
I love how the first cut after the Rojas goal that isn't of Richmond fan celebrating is Jamie running the ball back to midfield and encouraging his own guys to sprint back up
This show's attention to detail is disarmingly good.
Watched this whole season. It's a lovely example of presenting depth in a comfortably silly wrapper.

i honestly love how it shows that even the most perfect people on the outside (Ted lasso for example) have flaws and their own problems just like everyone else.
@@MrAirZone25 You seem to have captured the essence of the show's appeal, seeing as each of its otherwise successful characters definitely has warts. To me Lasso's appeal is that he's able to place premium on other people no matter what he's going through, that he purposely looks past people's warts believing always that there's likely a gem underneath and, in so doing, helps them find out that's true of themselves. He helps people redeem themselves in their own eyes. Well, all but the incorrigible. Them he just humiliates. The power to do that seems to rise from genuine service to others. That at least has been my experience.
The miracle is not the win, the miracle is Jaime finally appreciating teamwork.
Absolutely love this show. Can’t wait for the next season.
I once said “dammit, a sister kisser” at the end of one of my son’s matches. The parents around me in the stands reacted just like those players. Apparently a lot of Canadians don’t know the expression, either.
A buddy of mine used to say it in Vegas when he would push while playing Blackjack! folks at the table just laughed and said, yup!

@@MrGrenade121 Some American football coach (I can't remember the one) said that a tie is like kissing missing your sister. With overtime and extra innings, it is far more rare for a game to end in a tie, and in some sports (baseball, basketball, hockey, and college football, although rules making ties in the last two impossible are relatively recent [both came about in the 1990s]) impossible.
My favorite part is at 2:52. Everyone has their own agenda in life and may have their dislikes. However, they are all, unknowingly, cheering together.

So this is the shock and the pain about a relegation in sport. Especially as here in the last minute of the last game of the season. That's so painful, I know that. But you know what? There's also a promotion! And then you celebrate it like a title :) We love and hate this sytem in Europe but we need it and we want it, without a doubt! Football is life! ♥️⚽

I love jamie’s hair is really styled here, and in season 2 he wears the headband. (i know his hair is a little longer in season 2) but he doesn’t care as much what it looks like during games now
This shows that teams should play as good as they can up until the final whistle

Americans, it's like how New York Red Bulls are not in New York while New York City are. The Manchester Red Sox are from Trafford, Greater Manchester while Man City are (and always have been) from Manchester.
If a united, sorry RedBulls, player moved to City, the City fans might say "welcome to New York"
I think the point of this clip was that although Lasso's team lost, Jamie Tartt made the extra pass, i.e. learned the importance of team work. It's poignant.
I'm still trying to figure out if it's regulate or relegate, I need to see it written, I'm a visual learner. :)

Yeah its relegate, and you're correct. Its almost the opposite of bittersweet... sweetbitter? Yes they lost, but Jamie finally learned the lesson Lasso had been trying the entire season to teach him.

Admittedly, I don't watch football/soccer. But In Ted Lasso, there were a couple of times where after a goal, the opposing team runs back starts playing hard and makes an easy score. Does that really happen in real football? Don't players know to get back? Do the coaches not teach that? Just curious. Thanks in advance for any replies. Cheers.

Did FIFA not allow the use of their logo on the refs uniforms? WTF is wrong with them. It's the only artifact that sticks out. Hopefully this can be corrected for season 2.
