Higgins is so underrrated. He is literally at the end of the character arc that everyone else in the show is on: he has a solid relationship, a loving and kind family, has owned up to his past mistakes, grown as a person, and is a good friend.
This is a great insight!
And was sound about giving up his office to the Doc
Higgins for the win
Amen. He’s impossible to dislike.
Imagine him becoming the actual supervillain come season 3
"Does my face look like it's in the mood for shape based jokes" is such an underrated line.
That beautifully shaped face.
"No Roy, it does not." Hahaha love that line!
"But it my defense, it rarely does."
Also when they find out that they haven't beaten Everton in 60 years, coach Beardy reaction is priceless...lol
my favorite line of the season
That “grow up and get over it,” from coach beard always cracks me up! Like dang coach, your honesty knows no mercy😂
@callmecatalyst Dum comment.
It’s not just guys that need to learn this and deal with something like this, it’s everybody.
I had this exact argument with my husband about a character from a book i was reading. He said that the female protagonist sleeping with her ex-boyfriend when she might be starting something new with another guy is wrong and the new guy shouldn't get together with her. Once we watched this scene, I reminded him of his previous sentiments and he agreed, "grow up and get over it" is the perfect response to this situation.
@@callmecatalyst Disagree. It was pretty immature of her to believe that she needed to get back at him by sleeping with her ex just because he was busy. If you don't see any problem with that, then you have some serious issues.
That might be the best sentence of the show for me
Such a mature conversation with the diamond dogs. This is one of the little things that make the show so great.
100% This is how men should support each other.
Diamond dogs are the real deal. Fuck a love doctor
The speed that the diamond dogs assembled was impressive, and adorable.
Notice how they position in the exact same spots every time
@@MrSpade5150 until Higgins takes the window seat.
I love that Higgins is one of the Diamond Dogs
he is only one with good results in romantic relationships! His wife!
It's the Lasso Way: EVERYBODY finds a way to belong--the owner, the kit man, and everybody in between.
So does he 😄
"He's in his sixties and he's from south London, of course my dad's a little racist"
" You don't wanna mess with Jadon Sancho. He's from South London "😆
Such an epic line!! I did not see that coming!!
Can someone from south London confirm this. 😝
@@DavidRamos-sr8cx yes white Englishman racist white europe not from England that lives in south London not racist
@@djfluba6975I think a lot of non-English white Europeans are also very racist......

All this Chandler Bingin' aside...
Whoever the writers are on this show they are spectacular, the performances are great too.
three of them are in this scene
Every character is so perfect. From the main characters down to the smallest supporting roles.
@@danielvaughan1047 That's why it's so goooood. The writing is brilliant, and they believe in what they are selling.
Roy-Fucking-Kent is actually one of the writers and then he auditioned for Roy and got it. Which is awesome
3 of the writers are in this scene
This scene, man. Comedic timing absolutely perfect, but let's talk about the content. Most writing would have one of the following: 1. Man having issues doesn't take good advice and screws up further. 2. Friends give bad advice, man takes advice, screwing things up further. I love that they took this a third way and avoided cliche: Band of odd fellow friends give good advice, man looks inside and sees that it's good advice, follows his heart, and actually gets the girl.
“BuT tHat’S NOt fUNny!”
@@samfilmkid wHeRe’S tHe CoNfLiCt?!?
It is soooo much nicer when there is no artificial conflict.
I don’t think “Not unlike people at a hip hop concert who’s hands are not in the air “ gets enough love
The way Ted looks at Beard after the "perfect analogy" acknowledgement is one of the sweetest moments in the show. 2:27
"Coach... You want to bring this home?".... Nailed it.
Coach Beard’s offscreen “Fuck yeah, the Gershwins!” Is one of my favorite lines of his!
"All this Chandler Binging a side..." I just heard that hahaha
OMG! He said it so fast i had to replay it.
What is his point? Chandler didn't hesitate about monica
@@shadaan1049 it was the sarcasm he was using and the way he was saying it, sort of like Chandler 🤣
‘All this Chandler Binging aside …!’ I love that line! Chandler is now officially a verb!!! 😆
That's Mrs Chanandler Bonging, thank you.
"Grow up.... and get over it." I feel like about 80% of most adults personal problems could be solved by this advice, lol
Pretty much.
You wanna bring it home coach?
It's good final advice but if they didn't walk him through just how small and childish the stuff he was upset about first, it would just come off as condescending and rude.
Yes
"Grow up, get over it" is in the same vein as "man up".
Sometimes....a very small percentage of the time, it's inappropriate. For the majority of the time, it's perfectly valid. And yet, it's considered almost unacceptable these days.
Maybe the younger generations would benefit from hearing it from time to time.
"Is it really?... "No I just make it feel like it does with my hips"... brilliant writing.
Roy’s love is so heartfelt. It’s funny how someone so stoic can still show so much emotion regardless of how cool and calm he always looks
I love Roy, I feel like he has this hard shell with a sweet center. Great actor for this!
Liz Lemon... people aren't chocolates. You know what they are mostly? Bastards. Bastard-coated bastards with bastard filling.
@@GiantPetRat Sorry, but i do believe it was Doctor Cox in scrubs who said that, might have been kelso
@@tylergee3043 Actually, both Dr. Cox and Kelso said it- independently of one another, to boot. The username for the original comment just happens to be Liz Lemon, which is what I was referring to when I wrote that. Totally understand the confusion, though. It kinda does sound like something Jack Donaghy might say. ☺️
@@GiantPetRat that's totally on me! good to see we both remember our scrubs history, and i just remembered the bill Lawerence connection as i write this sentence, well now im all caught up!
@@tylergee3043 No prob! I'm just so happy to see another win for Bill Lawrence.
My favorite line! “Grow up and get over it.” Hands down…perfect. 💁♀️
"Coach? You want to bring this home?" Some lines are just _gifts_ .
@ 0:48 I love how Keeley processes this. 'Holy fuck! I've been dating boys, and this one's a man.' (Rebecca had presaged this with her reference to accountability.)
The way she looks amazed when he says he uses his hips.
Fr
It’s the panting by Ted that gets me every time 😂😂
A+
“Don’t you fret my fine furry fella” hahaha
I have not seen any episodes of this show...but I have seen enough clips to absolutely want to sit down and binge watch the entire show. The writing, acting, dialogue and execution are impeccable.
Nate: ‘S wonderful.
Ted: Shout out to the Gershwins.
Coach Beard: F*ck yea Gershwins.
Straight jocks knowing of and appreciating the genius of George and Ira is more than my heart can take.
Honestly I feel like every guy needs himself some Diamond Dog time, but I love how much they got under Roy's skin lol
I love how Ted implies that there are actually times in which Roy is in the mood for shaped-based humor.
Justice League? .... Avengers? .... who needs those wankers? The Diamond Dogs will save us ALL!!!
4real we all need a diamond dog crew! They keep it real!
Never would have thought that such a frat boy group name could be used for Such mature advice.
Woooooooooo
Diamond Dogs to the Moon!
“Does my face look like it’s in the mood for shape based jokes?”
I feel like I need the diamond dogs guiding me in life
We all need a diamond dog crew to roll up and get us 2gether! They can visit me anytime! Lol.. The way they swooped in on Roy took me out! Lol I was so tickled! He was like what the???? Where yall come from!? This was one of my favorite scenes, of the show. I love how expressive you see these dope men, express themselves which is rare, but dope to see and love it! Ted/Jason, he is that dude! Its the accent and positive vibes 4 me!!
I know! I could use them!
One of the best written shows!
Totally. So good.
4real!!
Took me about two listens to get the "raise your hands in the air" deconstruction the Coach laid on Roy :D
i love that its never fully a plot point, but Ted's clearly a big hiphop fan....it just....exists as a part of his personality
@@uninterruptedrhythm4104 That could be it but I think that’s just a Jason thing because he was a teenager in the 90s when hip hop really started dominating.
The writing and acting were great in this scene. It all came together.
"Grow up and get over it" may be the single greatest advice so many people need to hear. I know I sure need to grow up and get over it.
"Its just A group of people who care Roy, Not Unlike folks at a hip hop concert whose hands are not in the air"
Why must he be so wholesome, make things relatable, and hilarious
When they start barking and Ted looks like an excited puppy 😂😂
and now all the people in this scene are emmy nominated, when it’s right it’s right 🙏🏼
That must be one of the greatest pieces of Television of this millenia.
I love the whole thing but that line "not unlike those people in a hip hop concert whose hands are not in the air" cracks me up
I love the Diamond Dogs.
Da diamond dogs dun struck again! Lol
Man
I can see the influence of Bill lawrence. It has that same joyfulness as Scrubs. There are no real bad people. Its just so sweet
And Cougar Town, for that matter. 😊😊😊
I love this scene. It witty and layered with sarcasm. My cup of tea.
Ted panting like a dog at the end brings it home 😂
Binged this show for the first time like three days ago i can NOT get enough. And season 2 is like three weeks away! D:
love this show
I love how Bill Lawrence brought back the idea of the "Brain Trust/Bunch" from Scrubs ♥️
Oh my god I never made that connection! Yes it's the perfect homage to the Brain Trust 😬😁

THIS!!!!!! 👍👍👍
Second only to the "I walked in on my mother-in-law changing into her swimsuit dodecahedron." Love the delivery!
Nate musing about Keeley being "so kind" feels a bit queasy now...
And Lasso gives the big last line to Beard. Classic Lasso behaviour.
All this Chandler Binging aside ...
Love the refs they use in this show
That’s a genius line
"Fuck yeah the Gershwins" lmao
Yet another line in the show that makes me laugh no matter how many times I see/hear it.
"Shout out to the Gershwin brothers!!!" Best line in the scene!
Roy Kent has never been "scared" a day in his life, but when they all came in with their comments and his line "OK, this is my fucking nightmare" and the look on his face that was ACTUAL FEAR AND TERROR.
Thought this would be about the 4-4-2 diamond formation.
Carlo Ancelotti likes this.
Another great episode.
If feel good was a show, it would be this. Solid gold.
when ted lasso (jason sudeikis) yell "ooo weyyy" 1:39 , it reminds me of the maine justice that jason has played early on in SNL.
“I can see Liam and Noel and it’s not an Oasis”❤️❤️
Roy Kent is a legend
"All this Chandler Bing aside" they knew what they were talking about
Pretty clever leapfrogging Square... Parallelogram... Octogon, etc... All the way to 'Dodecahedron'?... What the hell? Frikin hilarious. Tough word though... wonder if he nailed it on the first take.🙂
I love Keeley's face after his hips comment.
I miss this Nate :(
He’ll be back chastened I bet.
Same Nate but with more confidence and ego. He’s had those moments previously where it ekes out but now that he feels he can do anything it flows out more freely. Nate cares but only inso-much as the acknowledgment and praise followed. So when he felt that he was no longer receiving that from Ted he began constructing the idea that he was being used to justify himself in how he acted. He has power now and can flex it so he does whereas previously he had nothing and could only take the verbal emotional and physical abuse. Now that he has the ability to inflict it he does so.
coach beard saying "grow up and get over it" might be the best advice anyone ever said in the history of fiction
It is, it saved me.
Ted: "Sure roy here has slept with a bunch of different people in his past!"
Roy: * nods like yeah thats right!*
Ted: "But keeley's got her own romantic and sexual history that predates roy, AND THATS NOT OKAY!"
Roy: * nods like Yeah! exactly!*
the way roy nods completely sincerely not understanding that Ted is calling him a hypocrite is so funny.
Ted Lasso is AWESOME!!!
"Who are the Diamond Dogs?"
"Big Boss, Revolver Ocelot, a couple other fellahs."
I really hope we get more diamond dogs scenes in season 2.
Great show
Football is life - Dani Rojas
That was real dude talk. Painful but real. Good job
such an original and awesome show
Keely's face when Roy mentions that thing he does with his hip is pretty much all of us.
Hell yeah !
Miss this series.
I love them so much.
Love this show
Oh season 1 Nate, you’re so sweet and kind. I miss you so much.
"All this Chandler Binging aside..." fucking brilliant
The barking jfc I love this show
I still waiting for Revolver Ocelot and Big Boss to show up with D Dog for this Diamond Dogs meeting. (MGS5)
"All this Chandler Binging aside" 😂😂
i love how he says "the diamond dogs have struck again" when its literally their first time together.
@Kevin L i meant its the first time as thier new moniker, and its his delivery of it which is funny.
So good
I would watch a show about the diamond dogs
great show
Keelys reaction to the "curve" ball
I just make it feel like it with my hips 😂
I like how Roy's voice sounds a lot like Pete Townshend !
what great writing
She said: so have i !!!!!!!!😄😄😄😄😄😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
He he don't want 2 Brag about it!!!!!!!😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
The love triangle is the most complicated shape 😅
Love the "Friends" Chandler Bing reference.
I just hated how they turned Nate into a bad guy in Season 2; I mean he was my favorite after Ted Lasso and Coach Beard. Then realised that not every person you meet is going to be good. Some show their true colours with rising power and you have to grow up and forget it because allthough shit happens, life moves on!
I loved this show sm
Everyone need those diamond dogs.
The fact that he becomes a diamond dog is hilarious
I like the Roy character. He was the one who grew the most, but you have to hand it to Jamie.
