So what actually happened? At 0:06 you can see the meathook becomes available, but immediately becomes unavailable after I attempt to use it on the shield soldier. Instead of getting meathooked, the shield soldier gets possessed.
@@ControllerQuickSwaps sometimes the randomizer doesn‘t work well. I‘ve died yesterday because of a similiar reason. A ghost spawns in another areal of the level and posseses a Baron in front of me ! I’ve died instantly!
ppl always laugh at me when i say that amongst most dangerous enemies such as archville, whiplash (triple ground attacks) and carcass (melee spin spam and shield cuckoldin) shield soldier stand close to number one. It's only hitscan enemy afaik and if he does that fast fire rate shotgun barrage at you whilst you are anyhwere within 7.5 meters of him you can say goodbye to 100-200 hp/armour points in matter of a second or two. If I could remove or rework one enemy in the game it'd be shield soldiers. They cost me so many unm runs by chippin away more then half my health whilst I was busy juggling a heavy demons. Now I'm trying to get into a habit of memebeaming them the milisecond I catch their blue shields of bs with corner of my eye or meathook ssg blasting them if they're alone outside of a crowd, lol.
you are a real doom eternal player if you can drop a tyrant in a few seconds then proceed to struggle to kill a shield soldier

Shield soldiers are actually pressure demons like cacodemons, but tyrants are just damage sponges with a low damage output

Nope, this was with the unbalanced randomizer though. It seems the soldier got possessed right when my meathook malfunctioned.
