Larry really is a whole mood. Larry is the GOAT. The reveal of Larry as an Elite Four member was something, but him trolling us by using Flying-types instead as we get out our Fighting-types was genius. Not only does he have his job as a salaryman, he also has to work as both a Gym leader and an Elite Four member. He lives up to the title of "Exceptional Everyman". His lines are even better in the Japanese version. He said he uses Komala, a Pokémon that is always asleep, because that is "what all salarymen truly desires".
I can imagine myself reading this comment before finishing the game and saying, WHAT? LARRY IS PART OF THE ELITE FOUR?!

Oinkologne is meant to be pronounced like cologne. This references the fact male Oinkologne uses its flower-like tail to unleash a concentrated sweet scent to cover its body to attract female Pokémon, while female Oinkologne are surrounded by a floral scent that soothes nearby Pokémon, according to the Pokédex. Both of these have different abilities, Lingering Aroma for the males (exclusive to just male Oinkologne; changes the opponent's ability to Lingering Aroma when hit by a contact move) and Aroma Veil for the females (just like Lechonk and also an ability of Spritzee and Aromatisse; protects it and allies from moves that limit their move choices).

Definitely feeling the "don't use the master ball on a legendary" vibe! The power of stubbornness prevails! (unless of course it's a roaming legendary like in the gen 2 games, then yeah no, I'm using that damn master ball lol).
I've kept ahold of mine for now, and I'm either going to hoard it like I tend to do, or I'll use it on a particularly aesthetic shiny.

I totally agree about the lighting making Pokémon look shiny. I had a terrible time earlier today hunting glaceon since the shade made every freaking glaceon look shiny. It was a complete nightmare but at least I got the shiny.
SV is both a blessing(plentiful shinies) and a curse(horrible lighting that makes everything look shiny and makes you look like a schizo)

Did not realize this was a challenge. I have only ever used regular pokeballs.
I'm the exact same way if I have different pokeballs it feels cluttered it especially irks me when you can see the pokeballs on the healing table
I did this same challenge and have a full living dex of pokeball only catches. Now I'm working on the living shiny dex.

Steel sandwich helps riolu hunts because riolus will often spawn with Lucario. That’s how I got mine while looking for a shiny Lucario

I'm in the process of completing my living dex with premire balls only.... man I miss my scrappy false swipe pangoro. A lot of luck going into catching all these new ghosts
You can also use trick and give them ring target so false swipe will work, but a lot of them know curse so there's that too. Really miss Pangoro too though

Without watching the video... Yes, I did exactly that, (except the poison terra Sligoo that I caught in a premier ball for whatever reason...) But even my legendary, I completed my Pokedex with all red pokeballs
As someone with the tism if I don’t use the same kind of pokeball for every Pokémon I catch I get overwhelmed by which ball I should use, so yes, can confirm. Good to see someone else do it!

Yes you can, and I always do. I've only ever caught stuff in basic pokeballs because I got ocpd. Which results in me yelling at my screen for everything to just stay in the freaking amzingly low catch rate pokeball for a few days😂
either im really lucky with catching pokemon in regular pokeballs or im just super patient and enjoy catching pokemon,,, maybe both

Yes, yes you can. Did it myself. Caught nearly everything in the game in basic poke balls, all with mostly just knocking them below half health and paralyzing them. Crit captures happened often, even caught the second Miraidon in one on my thirteenth or so ball.
The only thing I didn’t catch in poke balls were the treasure legends. I used Luxury Balls on them for aesthetic and they’re no stronger than the basic ball anyway.
Fun Fact: I actually somewhat did this as in catch every Pokémon in a pokeball except for the legends but yay I caught all of them in a pokeball(iron valient and roaring moon to at full health)
27:57 You can, but only when wifi is switched off. You can use local communication from the same account. It works a little worse now since with SwSh you were always connected with local communication if you weren't online. But if you start searching on your main switch and then open your other game on your second switch it will work. Same goes for union circles

I already did this and have a full living dex including all the raid den event pokemon and now have over 150 shiny pokemon in regular pokeballs. (yes I caught the raid den event pokemon in regular pokeballs as well as walking wake and Iron leaves in regular pokeballs too)

So... I decided to shiny hunt rowlet, and I some how got it in 3 eggs! Granted, it was masuda with a shiny charm.But it's still cool!

Ok im so glad someone said it. I remember that i found a shiny beldum that i wasn't prepared for and used my master ball. I showed it off in a pokemon community and so many people said i wasted my masterball and i could have used it for for the tapus or the box art legendaries. And at that time, i already caught them all, even if i didn't, i feel like that would be a waste of the masterball. Like you can reset your game to try and catch the legendaries, you couldn't do that with a shiny (at that point in sun)

No idea how, but I did end up with an extra Master Ball. At first I thought maybe I just didn’t use it, but the wild Koraidon was right there in a Master Ball. Came in handy for Ting-Lu, though, because I forgot to save before fighting it.

was literally following john austin guide for the 4 mythic as well
in my defense, i got SO MANY hacked lv 100 shiny mons ranging from competitive biulds to starters to paradoxes, so i now have 27 master balls in my bag. i did not care to waste 3 of them on miraidon and the last 2 shrines to complete my dex.
I only use Pokeballs in every game, unless its mandatory to use another ball. (Such as second legendary in Legends Arceus).
I catch every Pokémon I think I’ll ever use for a battle in a normal pokeball cuz I like them the best outta all of the pokeballs so it’s definitely possible as I also did all the legendary Pokémon as well with the only exception being Miraidon as I thought the Ultra Ball matches the design on his head really well and since I don’t use legendary Pokémon too often I allowed it
i ALWAYS make sure my party pokemon are in the same type of pokeball (regular pokeballs) so that when you put them in the pokemon center theyre all the same pokeballs

Sometimes game diversity can work, but not always. I actually come from making Dauntless content in that same genre, and for me, creating this channel to do the pokemon content separately may just go down as the best decision I've ever made. Very likely these same exact videos on my original channel would have a fraction of the number of views. You may wonder "why should I start from scratch?" Put simply, if your current subscribers aren't interested in the content you've made, then they hurt the performance of that content

I've been doing that since I started, I only have six Pokémon out of the 250 I caught that aren't in a regular pokeball being three shines, ceruledge armarouge and a traded Rowley from my friend
I always use the premier ball. Well, I used it in Alola and then again in Paldea, idk why I didn't in Galar, but moving forward I'll always catch my living dex in Premier Ball.
I did this back in gen 8 cuz I liked the challenge and it was a struggle
Tip: If you are enough of a Pokémon fan that you’re running it on two switches, it might be worth it to invest into both physical cartridges and digital downloads. Doing so allows you to run either game at the same time without moving a cartridge back and forth or being locked out due to digital restrictions. Obviously not for everyone, but I make a lot in my day job, so getting rid of inconvenient things to fully play everything these games can do was worth it to me. This is especially useful if you want to save a raid on your second switch and then use local union room to keep playing it while being able to go online on your main switch.
You can trade between two files on the same account, as long as it's on two different switches. Just disconnect from the wifi on one of them. Not Flight mode, just disconnect.
I have played all pokemon games using only the pokeball besause I hate the design of the other balls with rare exceptions like the ones made by Kurt which only features in a few games. I must say that it is a run itself to catch them all using only the pokeball but it is fun and very accomplishing once you do it.

Considering that I forgot about the existence of Quick Balls for most of the game, I did catch most of my Pokemon with regular Pokeballs. Gimme the classic red ball! Best ball! I literally only use different balls for shinies. Then there was Miraidon... after using 30 regular pokeballs, I was annoyed and put it in a Great ball. I honestly wish I got it in a master ball just for the M.

i have a living dex in pokeballs, never used any other ball in my playthrough! it's also female only (unless 100% male or has a different form when male)!! doing a shiny dex now in poke balls :-)

Every pokemon game I've ever played has been with Pokeball only, idk why but i just prefer the look and its more consistent when looking through boxes and parties.
I've never used a master ball because I only had the one and there are always more than one legendary. So I try and catch them with ultra balls and junk then end up never using it 😅 i hoard it like a dragon. All of my pokemon saves still have a master ball in the box items or storage 😆
