Soviet science fiction film of 1972 based on the book by Stanislav Lem.
People are looking for places where they would be better off than on Earth. One of the space expeditions is sent to study the planet Solaris. Soon, scientists realize that their fears, dreams, and secret desires materialize here. Solaris is not a paradise. Rather, it's the complete opposite. Because none of us really knows what happens when all our dreams come true.
