The fact that the first viewer was convinced a driving instructor would be impressed by his actions just shows how deluded he is. Good for the IAM for getting rid of him
Not sure why you think the cammer thought Ashley would be impressed? As usual with this person Ashley totally ignores the wrongs being done by the other driver!
Thank you for including my clip at 2:59 Ashley:). Just for context it was 3AM and I was taking my dad to the airport, doing about 50mph in a national speed limit. The truck dazzled me initially and then because it was a long corner the car overtaking the truck looked like it was just further back around the bend rather than in our lane. Was far too close for comfort and just goes to show you have to always be alert and expecting the worst no matter how quiet the roads seem to be.
Watching that just gave me deja vu. I had the exact same incident one night about 11pm. A car and lorry coming round a long bend on the unlit A57 going past Worksop, and until the car lights swiped past right in front of my eyes, I hadn't a clue the car was in my lane overtaking, thinking the car was behind the lorry all the time. Didn't even have any time to react. Scary.
@7:36 You'll be pleased to know I did in fact stop at the lights, though I may have been ever so slightly annoyed at having to do so. Clip ended there on account of my dash cam recording in one minute clips - at the time figured no point saving the following one!

Never take any notice of any indicator; be sure the vehicle is actually doing what the signal suggests before assuming anything; slowing significantly, beginning the turn etc. Anything else is a coloured light show. If its far enough away that it doesn't matter, you can go anyway.
1:50 I learned it the hard way: never trust the signal of a car, when you're at a junction and wait for a gap to go into. Was found a 100% at fault that day. Always wait until they begin to actually turn.
Not everyone wants to turn, some want to pull over just after the turn. Speed is a good indicator too. Always best to just wait IMHO, you're rarely waiting to pull out for more than a minute even on a really busy road.
The scooter didn't massively affect the cam car in that instance, but we've all seen how little some people look at the situation around them at roundabouts, could have easily been hit from behind. I probably would've beeped also, just a little "Hey, be careful". I didn't hear any road rage or comments beyond that, so I think that is the point the cam car was trying to get across.
Watching the start of the IAM guy’s clip, I really thought he was a reformed character. Notice the mistake, say ‘hmm’, get on with your day, nice... oh...
@@Joelb485 As delightful as pigeonholing peoples bad behaviour to a car make and model my be. I've mostly noticed it's personalities that cause the main issue. So they can drive anything and act like a wassock.
The clip outside Headingley Stadium at 5.30 with the Fiesta carving up the taxi on the right turn is unbelievable. Not for what they did, this is driving in Leeds after all and I see worse everyday on my commute. No, what’s more amazing is that the Amber Taxi is the car being wronged rather than the other way around.
For the clip at 6:40, while the horn was unnecessary I can understand his frustration. Your trying to exit onto a busy roundabout, and you have a vulnerable road user on a scooter, making life ten times harder by cutting in front of you. I’m not against filtering, but the scooter should’ve held back behind the cammer and set up a clear position for the roundabout.
Clip 15: Never rode a motorcycle, but I know this is a very standard thing for 2 wheeled vehicles to get ahead to be more visible at junctions. Without the pointless hoot, this clip is a non-event.
Some car driver HATE bikes because they car filter through traffic. I don't even care anymore when drivers intentionally block me when they see me coming, I just expect it.
Not really a non event, had my full bike license for 30 years, I don’t think it was a pointless hoot, it was alerting the rider to a really dumb move. It also had an ‘L’ plate if I’m not mistaken, so the rider may not have been that experienced, not sure on the rules these days, but previously people had ‘grandfather rights’ to ride with learner plates on bikes. Generally though, it looked like a kid with no road sense on a bike, the sort that cause car based motorists to have a bad opinion/perception of motorcyclists. The short beep in that clip was justified (as an ‘hey I’m here too’), but probably did nothing to educate the rider.
Yup used it a lot, the right hand, now bus lane for decades was 'parking for Argos' around the corner. The Bemmer numberplate is appropriate M(e)..W(i)SE.🤔😃👍
Same here. Once I was waiting to pull out a side road and had a taxi driver indicate left to turn in. He slowed down but then changed his mind. Luckily I didn't pull out when he was slowing down. Sometimes also some people behind overtake them so keep an eye out.
Sometimes a left indicator can also mean you want to pull over immediately after the turn, or another turn immediately after that one (weird roads in little villages up north), but you're supposed to give everyone fair warning of your intent and waiting until after the first turn could get you rear ended. I would never pull out in front of an oncoming vehicle unless they'd started the turn and nobody was behind them anyway, but I'm very risk averse. I've had people pull out in front of me when indicating though, and they're always very loud and aggressive afterwards. Takes a certain type I think.
7:25 my guess is that he didn’t go through. The car seems to dip down a bit suggesting he is braking. Edit: mentioning the cammer not the other driver!
Hard to be sure though - "interesting" place to end the clip otherwise; we might have expected them to show the second f-up as well, just to rub it in, but maybe not if it's incriminating :)
8:06 This is the driving I might do in a racing game...where I can't die if I go off. 6:46 Is either triggered or didn't see the scooter and blamed the scooter rider for that. A lot of drivers can't handle scooters or cyclists wizzing past while they're stuck in traffic with others riding unneccesarily big SUVs.
@@tin2001 It's hard to see. I assumed the 'conditions' Ashley means are dark + dirt road. Even on asphalt I wouldn't drive this fast here, you have no indication of haw sharp or when there is a corner. Some kind of reflective marker on the edges of the road like there are in (woods) in the Netherlands, Germany and other countries would maybe make this speed safely doable.
Huge respect to whoever provided the clip of them fucking up and losing control of their car, takes balls to post a clip where you obviously made a mistake
Unless they shared it because they thought it was funny and their mates would be impressed it made it into a compilation video. There are sadly real people with this mentality.
Regarding that scooter, the cammer obviously took it to heart too much, but the scooter was a bit silly IMO. When I filter to a roundabout like that I wait behind the front vehicle as their focus is to the right, so the chances are they won't see me as their head is facing the other way. The second vehicle in the queue has no excuse, especially if you position yourself in the lane behind that first vehicle (though they still sometimes get the hump and try to compete).
Yes. That’s what happened. The moped appeared from nowhere. He wasn’t anywhere on the dual carriageway. Then when I looked forward I spotted him at the last minute and hit the brakes as he cut across in front. The camera doesn’t show it that well. The hoot was to warn him.
Tim Robinson Vlog plus yeah I gotta agree with ya especially if you saw a gap on the round about and floored it you would of been scraping him off the floor.
@@TimRsn I had that happen to me recently. Was turning left out a road and I saw the left lane was empty but had my head turned to be sure no car is coming. Just noticed a scooter driver Wiz past on the left of me and quickly turned the steering wheel away from the kurb
5:06 Clip 11, I wonder how much a sound of the Horn from the Camera Car would have helped once they saw what was happening? Maybe it would have allowed one or both to take evasive action.
Im not sure if instructors do mention it or if mine just never did. Bikers can filter through traffic. A lot of drivers get angry with them because they dont this or the reason why. I only knew it was a thing through yt 😂
i worked in Paris for a while. Bikes and electric scooters were awful. They passed a law to regulate electric scooters (considered now as bikes). But in reality, bikes and electric scooters are rarely intercepted by police. Red lights are mere yield signs for them and pedestrian crossings just decorations (I'll add motorcycles for crossings) :-)
2:59 A lot of people do that in my country, they never turn off their main beam when coming across another vehicles and overtaking is a very common thing too.
In London my pet peeve is people who lack lane discipline. Once with my dad and had a Mercedes driver on the right lane after the traffic lights and past a right hand bend just vere into our lane without indication to turn left ahead. W-why? Why not be in the left lane beforehand than being in the right lane then having to push in quickly upsetting other road users? This and peoples inpatients to wait in a queue. Had a guy behind me overtake cars to turn right out a road as the cars in front of me were indicating left. Because of where he was positioned it made it difficult for a van to turn in the road. I then put my right indicator on and that prevented other people behind him doing the same thing. Just be patient your not saving 30 minutes to get to your destination as if that would make a difference to anything 🤦
I have very little to add here but will answer a question..... I believe the phrase that Ashley's looking for is "💩ing Peugeot" - a while since I've heard it used 😆. BMW and thoughtful? Unusual to see those words in a sentence..... but the balance was redressed in a later clip..... normal service has been resumed lol. Great analysis as always 👍.

Please don't let that guy tarnish IAM's name. I'm halfway through my course and it's absolutely amazing. 100% recommend everyone does it. They teach you to be confident NOT dangerously egotistical
6:34 My guess is that the cammer was looking to the right without glancing left, before moving off. We obviously cannot know if he saw the scooter roll up before or after he was beginning to accelerate, but the honk seemed more like a warning/reaction to them swerving in front of them. The scooter guy needs to learn to wait his turn in a queue, or he will end up being minced under an 18-wheeler. Messing about at a junction as difficult as a roundabout, is only going to get someone hurt.
I’d already released the brakes and started to accelerate before the scooter appeared. It’s an automatic with automatic hand brake, so doesn’t start moving instantly. Was only supposed to be a warning.
Look at the lane arrows at 00:42, straight on and right in both the left and right hand lanes! So left hand lane can turn right at the same time as right hand lane goes straight on. It is clarified by the writing but still pretty absurd.
If I had enough money to buy a BMW or an Audi I'd surprise people by being the same careful, considerate driver that I am now. That's assuming that I'd buy either of those cars if I had the money.
6.50 I understand why bikes filter, but to what is essentially a junction onto a roundabout shouldn't be filtered to, the driver of the car was very likely looking right for a gap, went to go and suddenly theres a scooter there. Didn't have as much oomph off the line as most bikes do that filter to the front of lights etc and it's got L plates which suggests it's not the most experienced rider. I think if an accident happened pulling out the insurance would side with the car, scooter should have held back
i think we have all missed the point of the HORN on a car.. It is our only means of WARNING people/ cyclist/motorcyclists that we are there or around them .. It was originally mean as a warning.. I believe they use it on the continent before they overtake ..beep then overtake.. i had it done to me in Italy .. It seemed normal after i figured out why they were beeping at me. It does make you more aware and makes you pay attention. I was coming up behind a cyclist who without looking behind proceeded to pull out and overtake another cyclist.. I gave him a beep ..and all i got was a barrage of abuse... I cannot warn him any other way other then to use my HORN as that is the only thing I have to warn people.. No point shouting as they won't hear me.
They can but there are times when an experienced rider will choose not to and for a right turn on a low-powered scooter at a roundabout is one of them.
i think in clip 17 the tesla was on autopilot and avoided the lorry with the lane detection thing, also they have not terribly great colour cause they’re meant for the autopilot
Hello Ashley. Ive a question about what should you do if your trying to merge onto a dual carraigeway or motorway and others havent moved into the fast lane? As this happened to me 2 twice last week while trying to join the A2 in Belfast N'Ireland. The A2 has very short merging area of less than 30 yards. It was late evening so traffic was steady but not busy. Anyway i came down the on ramp and got up to a speed of between 40 and 50 mphs. But on both occasions there was half a dozen cars matching roughly my speed in the slow lane following each other closely. There was know one trying to over take them in the fast lane and not one of them moved over to help me be able to merge safely. Now as i said the merge area is very short on the A2 of less than 30 yards. But it does go into the hardshoulder. So would it have been okay for me to use the hardshoulder to give me extra room to merge? Or would i have had to stop or nearly come to a complete stop before the hard shoulder started? In order to let these arrigant drivers by and so i could merge. Hope that half makes sense and thanks in advance for any correspondence. Ben
Love these vids you are helping to make people safe and maybe have saved at least one life I reckon with all the viewers. I got thinking could we possibly see some more severe crashes in a special edition? Saying as I think it helps even your viewers to have a reminder of the consequences of actions. Could put a warning with the video. No need for gore, but just showing how one small mistake can involve big forces, a potentially serious injury. Head-on collisions? Maybe even feature ones where peds have died but cut out before showing any of it. The rollover today was kind of that way, but maybe a little turned up? I think seeing the potential consequences every so often gets through to the subconscious that driving is not to taken lightly, thousands killed or seriously injured per year in Uk from motor vehicles.
Uk Dash Cameras upload their compilation clips on Sundays, please could you upload your comps on like Wednesday. My dopamine buzz on Sundays almost causes me to blackout
Personally, with people who leave their indicators on I'll just give them a quick flash, maybe it's not the correct thing by the highway code but could it stop a potential accident?... As for the scooter definatley should have waited behind the car and assumed the car didn't see him... The car driver realistically should have held back in my opinion....great video 👍
My good god, that last one was a classic. I was expecting the rozers to be hot on that one's tail. As for scooter, I would've let that one go, how was the scooter affecting the cammer. This is problem on our roads, too many drivers treating it as a competition strip.
0:47 , being able to accelerate quickly from a red light is not bad driving in my opinion, there’s enough space behind him to pull over into the left lane and leave the round about. Good reactions and good clutch control (if he has one and not an automatic)
He was in the wrong lane to take that exit. If the car to the left of him had matched his acceleration, he would have had a problem as there was only one lane at the exit - it was not a merge in turn.
7:12 I'm guessing s/he came from the left where they indicated at the end of the clip but turned to early going into lane 3 of the cammers Road instead of lane 2 of the oncoming road
Some of these videos makes me question how people actually got their license... I’m a biker and riding around Liverpool is ridiculous, the amount of people who drive using phones and just don’t pay attention is becoming far too many. I’m also an Ashley neal student and while learning to drive I don’t understand how people can be so unaware of what they are doing wrong and what is going on around them
I posted a suggestion yesterday which Ashley agreed with...... Upload to The Cloud, then email Ashley with a link to...... ashleysanalysis@gmail.com Hope that helps 👍
I'm always bemused by people who leave their indicators flashing. Literally other day coming down the M56, Merc in middle lane approaching me (I'm in lane 1) with indicator flashing left. I'm approaching an exit and I'm thinking what are you going to do? 1 come in behind me and exit or 2 try and cut in font of me and exit. No just cruised past me going slightly faster. few minutes later she is driving off into the distance still in middle lane and indicator flashing. Maybe It's the cars I have driven but they always make a clicking sound when indicators are on and a flashing light on the dash. Do Merc not have this feature?
Never trust indicators! The number of people signalling left when they turn right or vice-versa, especially at roundabouts, makes you wonder if BMW were right not to fit indicators to their cars.... ;-)
Maybe the bike clip was because it startled the driver to a degree? Driver would've been looking right for a break in the traffic to go and a bike shooting up your left side would get me i expect, not to the extent I'd use the horn though. Just a thought.
If I got my arse into gear and set up cameras for one night at work I could provide you with a whole episode by myself. Many of the incidents in your video happen because we no longer have enough police officers around. I'm old enough to remember when transgressions like crossing the continous white line would have got a blue light. As for the guy missing his turn, I've had people pull across the front of my truck just like that, and one in Hertfordshire stays with me because to this day I don't know how I didn't T-bone her car! What I always say is: if you make a mistake in direction just live with it and carry on until you can correct it. Do not turn your mistake into someone else's problem!
I think Ashley was focusing more on the driver with the camera. The BMW did do wrong crossing those solid white lines but the cam car decided to go in the right lane then floor it at the lights to take the next exit. He should of just been in the correct lane in the first place in my view
The guy in the BMW did everything quite well considering they were in the wrong lane, they didn't cut anybody up and they signalled. It's just the cammer who has their cage rattled by this to the point where they felt the need to pull that stupid move. edit: they did cross double solid white lines, didn't notice at first
The mistake the BMW driver made must be fairly common there since the paved divider has only just been added presumably to try to correct it, you can see the previous road arrows blacked out. There's also an unpainted rectangular sign on the left so a poorly designed junction. Our insane ex-IAM must know this as all has clips are from around Banbury.
Literally the only thing the BMW did wrong is change lanes over a solid line... At least I'm pretty sure that's all. I'm quite pedantic about road rules and prone to getting angry and frustrated at stuff that's done badly... But even I would have just laughed at that one.m, and probably commented on the cost of BMW blinker fluid.
3:54 - why does the Bus Lane have the text facing one way but an arrow facing the other way? Same at 4:08. I guess its for vehicles emerging from the side roads to read, but, that signage is just weird.
Ashley can you answer a question? Is it true they teach you to park on the opposite side of the road facing into traffic, if so why? It’s so dangerous.
I would live it if more people submitted their clips to the local police also - some of these driving habits will continue to happen if not reported. Most police have online set ups - just make sure the time and date are correct on your clip and you can identify the number plate.
@@robdevaney6518 great stuff - weirdly though, I don’t support the guys who stand at the side of the road in traffic filming drivers using their phones. Driving along yeah defo. I know everyone thinks BMW driver’s are the worst drivers on the road, but I actually think Audi drivers are the worst. I drive neither brand to save anyone asking
The scooter DID affect the cammer. It prevented them from accelerating as quickly as they may otherwise would have to clear for traffic on the right. Horn not absolutely necessary but wasn't unexpected to be honest.
Hi Ashley, Once again, brilliant content with a fair and impartial analysis. I emailed you a clip through a little while ago but not sure if you’ve received it or not?
@András Torma If every accountant had to drive around 10 hours a day with ACCOUNTANT written on their cars, then they'd be saying the same thing about accountants as they are about taxi drivers. Its simply down to their being more taxi/private hire drivers on the road for longer periods, and the fact that if a taxi driver ever does anything to you on the road, you instantly remember it and can categorise it into a group. For ordinary drivers though you cant categorise into groups, so you dont remember in the long term as much as say taxi drivers, white van drivers.. etc.
@András Torma I think you need to calm down, your fear of private hire drivers is irrational. Unless your a dickhead driver though, then your fear is completely rational, which going by your responses seems to be the case Lol
@András Torma Driving for 10 hours a day, constantly picking up and dropping off passengers, sometimes dropping off in unfamiliar areas, these all contribute to a higher likely hood of an accident, among many other things which I can tell you from experience. (An important point is Ive never been in an accident that was my fault, in all the years ive been driving.) Simply put there are dickhead drivers everywhere, and I think its quite clearly wrong of you to insinuate im a bad driver simply because of my job. Same goes to white van drivers, bus drivers and any other group of drivers, you dont judge anyone based on their job, but on their actual driving. Im really not saying anything profound here, im sure you understand what im trying to tell you.
Would the scooter rider have passed their test if they pulled that move at a roundabout? Doubtful they would have, its a safety issue, not only for them but also for the car driver who could be concentrating on looking right for a gap (it happens to all of us), thus not noticing the scooter rider who really has moved up into a bad position. Realiatically, that scooter rider should stay behind the front car, in a position where the next driver can see them, giving the scooter rider a safer space, not only for themselves, but also for the car driver.
Coincidentally you have an instructor in Oxford who sends in clips (I commented on a car that stopped on the A40 between Oxford and J8 of the M40 some time ago). The ex IAM member also seems to be in Oxordshire as the first clip seems to be approaching J10 of the M40. Maybe the ex IAM member could use the instructor's services. Sadly, though, I suspect he is too arrogant.
My uncle got dragged by a lorry when it pushed him against a concrete retainer wall making a bad lane change, he was scraped along the wall for nearly a mile because apparently the driver didn't feel the impact or the extra the resistance and had headphones in and couldn't hear all the horns going off around him, luckily he was uninjured as he thought when he couldn't get the guys attention that he was dead, inattentive driving, it's a shame a disproportionate number of these incidents are professional drivers (lorries, taxis, etc.)
Clip 15 I wouldn't be happy with the scooter doing that either as I'm going to be focusing on what's coming round from the right, not what's coming down my passenger's side and stopping outside my peripheral vision at my front left corner, where I would be driving as soon as I see a gap. I don't have an issue with motorbikes/scooters filtering, but I do disagree with 'filtering' in high risk situations, down the nearside of vehicles in the lane you wish to use, the vehicles immediately at junctions (all forms, roundabouts, like here, give ways, stop signs, and traffic lights close to changing) and/or, less relevant here, at a greater speed differential to the traffic/greater speeds in general. They put themselves into an unnecessarily hazardous and situation by passing that last vehicle. That is by far the most dangerous point on a roundabout as I'm sure you're aware. It's where the most shunts occur from people thinking traffic has moved off when it actually stops again and they go into the back of them. Even the best driver is going to be looking to their right at that point when the vehicle in front has definitely gone, and that's the moment the scooter decided to ride into the, what I believe becomes at that point, the least observed point in that manoeuvre. It's more for the scooter riders safety than anything else. Like 'filtering' with a greater speed differential to the traffic or undertaking, it's not necessarily illegal but it's very dangerous and not recommended, and in my opinion, all actions that everyone should be actively deterred from doing. I'm surprised you couldn't see the danger in the scooter doing that. You wouldn't drive up the side of a larger vehicle in a car on a roundabout like this, so why is it any different for a motorcycle filtering between cars looking for a gap to go, just like the trucks, etc? If you're between lanes then you're in the turning arc of the vehicles you're riding up the nearside of, just like you are in the lane immediately on the nearside of a large vehicle in the same position.
@@Alan_Clark Incorrect, privately owned ones are only allowed on private land if you rent one however you are allowed to use it on the road. Applies to the UK.

I think his fixation with the bike caused him to change lane a bit late?
Some car driver HATE bikes because they car filter through traffic. I don't even care anymore when drivers intentionally block me when they see me coming, I just expect it.
always hold back if a bike does this!
In Blackpool that road use to be one way with two lanes, but the bus lane as been there for a while now though.
Yup used it a lot, the right hand, now bus lane for decades was 'parking for Argos' around the corner. The Bemmer numberplate is appropriate M(e)..W(i)SE.🤔😃👍
2:03 why I always wait to see the wheels turn for the corner before pulling out, had this happen to me a few times now
Same here. Once I was waiting to pull out a side road and had a taxi driver indicate left to turn in. He slowed down but then changed his mind. Luckily I didn't pull out when he was slowing down. Sometimes also some people behind overtake them so keep an eye out.
Agree. Never go by just an indicator. Consider speed and the shape of the wheels.
@@David-sw2fn Indeed. If their wheels are shaped like 50 pence pieces, avoid them at all costs!
I loved the sarcastic "Thanks" at the end :)
Clip from the 1950s lol
Tbf teslas have the build quality of a car from the 50’s
7:25 my guess is that he didn’t go through. The car seems to dip down a bit suggesting he is braking.
Edit: mentioning the cammer not the other driver!
Maybe, but I think it's a gear change to power through the lights
The car turning around definitely went through. Not the cammer
i think he went through to save the embarassment
@@xFinalxArenox would be even more embarrassing if plod had seen him do it.
8:06 just confused me... Looks perfectly fine to me, then they stacked it for no reason. Is it winter and there's ice on the road?

But the second vehicle in the queue might be Ronnie Pickering......
If another driver does somthing bad then let the driver know. But if its a small issue then just relax and let them go. 😃☕🏴
2:26 That crutch was going through his spokes if he didn't stop.
This is truely amazing I don't even know what to say
Clip 14, even if there was no crossing it was a very dangerous overtake because car at crossroads could pull out half way.
2:50 "Shitting Peugeot!" - So happy that you're aware of this Ashley :)
i worked in Paris for a while.
The Lorrie with high beams on, yep happens all the time here in Australia
2:59 A lot of people do that in my country, they never turn off their main beam when coming across another vehicles and overtaking is a very common thing too.
Good to know that the IAM has some sensable individuals on it's Board of Directors.

@8:07 I first thought this was taken from a Dirt Rally game. Turns out, it's not. But it ended similarly.
Great set of clips as always. I reckon the silver Fiesta in #12 was nicked!
Hi Ashley, I am going to email in with 2 clips of mine tomorrow, I hope you enjoy them and please I beg of you to tell me any mistakes you feel I make, having had my license for twenty years now I feel complacent, especially in areas I drive every day. Thanks again for the clips and helping even old drivers like myself better themselves.
@@TimRsn Ah, I thought so.
You didn't seem aggressive at all with that honk.

That second clip the guy has his dash cam recording the clouds 😂
Thank goodness it's (excluded) IAM member!
Look at the lane arrows at 00:42, straight on and right in both the left and right hand lanes! So left hand lane can turn right at the same time as right hand lane goes straight on. It is clarified by the writing but still pretty absurd.
ex-IAM member who joined to feel superior over other road users.
And was thrown out because he's actually inferior to all of the other drivers.

07:47 that happened to me the other day on the A562 near the Runcorn Bridge. Shook me up a bit.
Clip #8 - How vital is missing your exit worth risking your (and others) life for?
6.50 I understand why bikes filter, but to what is essentially a junction onto a roundabout shouldn't be filtered to, the driver of the car was very likely looking right for a gap, went to go and suddenly theres a scooter there. Didn't have as much oomph off the line as most bikes do that filter to the front of lights etc and it's got L plates which suggests it's not the most experienced rider.
I think if an accident happened pulling out the insurance would side with the car, scooter should have held back
I love the comments after the pavement straddlers by the way! Firing on all the sarcasm cylinders!
2:56 watched that top gear sketch recently too haha
i think we have all missed the point of the HORN on a car..
Motorcycle I treat differently to cars. They can filter through traffic compared to a car.
They can but there are times when an experienced rider will choose not to and for a right turn on a low-powered scooter at a roundabout is one of them.
Do you not like Tesla’s Ash? 😂 “clip from the 80’s” haha

Clip 17 I saw that on wam bam Tesla cam last week
0:47 , being able to accelerate quickly from a red light is not bad driving in my opinion, there’s enough space behind him to pull over into the left lane and leave the round about. Good reactions and good clutch control (if he has one and not an automatic)
Nice to see someone with an unbiased view and thoughtful comment, Ashley seems to ignore the fact that the drive crossed solid white lines
He was in the wrong lane to take that exit. If the car to the left of him had matched his acceleration, he would have had a problem as there was only one lane at the exit - it was not a merge in turn.
There's accelerating quickly and there's being angry and this was clearly the latter
Madness.
I bet that first lorry driver on the M way didn’t even look.
Thoughtful Beemer? Must have been a courtesy car!
7:55 - clearly on 'autopilot' (a misnomer if there ever was one...) as a human paying attention would have seen that coming a few seconds beforehand.
I’m also an Ashley neal student and while learning to drive I don’t understand how people can be so unaware of what they are doing wrong and what is going on around them
If I can work out how to upload a clip, I got one from yesterday that would be great in your next video 🙂

Is the music playing from 9:08 availible anywhere to listen to?
The BMW went the wrong way in clip 1, but indicated and safely moved over. I just don't get what is problem was.

SHITTING PEUGEOT!
I do this regularly for serious examples of illegal driving. A prosecution usually results
@@robdevaney6518 great stuff - weirdly though, I don’t support the guys who stand at the side of the road in traffic filming drivers using their phones.

The scooter DID affect the cammer. It prevented them from accelerating as quickly as they may otherwise would have to clear for traffic on the right. Horn not absolutely necessary but wasn't unexpected to be honest.
I highly doubt that, you do understand how power to weight ratio affects acceleration right?

When youre on the road for 8-10 hours a day here in Birmingham, stuff like this becomes normal.
@András Torma Private hire
@András Torma What does my job have to do with my driving? have you seen me drive?
(An important point is Ive never been in an accident that was my fault, in all the years ive been driving.)
Simply put there are dickhead drivers everywhere, and I think its quite clearly wrong of you to insinuate im a bad driver simply because of my job.
Same goes to white van drivers, bus drivers and any other group of drivers, you dont judge anyone based on their job, but on their actual driving.
Im really not saying anything profound here, im sure you understand what im trying to tell you.
7:41 lollllll
Would the scooter rider have passed their test if they pulled that move at a roundabout? Doubtful they would have, its a safety issue, not only for them but also for the car driver who could be concentrating on looking right for a gap (it happens to all of us), thus not noticing the scooter rider who really has moved up into a bad position.
Realiatically, that scooter rider should stay behind the front car, in a position where the next driver can see them, giving the scooter rider a safer space, not only for themselves, but also for the car driver.
“Shitting Peugeot”
8:12 why did their full beams switch off?
Believe it was either to warn the cammer car of that bad driver overtaking them or was just out of anger 👍
Sounds like they were manually turned off. No clue why they were turned off but it would have maybe helped if they were still on.
Nothing do with the car, it’s the driver who is in control.
09:02 it seems that is your road? ASH ROAD ? :)
It's a very bad spot for bad driving in Blackpool
What are the rules for electric scooters? Do you have to do a test for example?
I'm 99% sure you don't
They are not allowed on roads, only on private land.
@@Alan_Clark Incorrect, privately owned ones are only allowed on private land if you rent one however you are allowed to use it on the road. Applies to the UK.
A provisional license is required to ride an E-scooter where it is hired out in one of the trial areas.

Other than in these specific cases, Alan Clark is correct - they are not legal on public roads, nor are they legal on footpaths, through public parks, or anywhere else to which the public has right of access (at least that's my understanding of the current situation).
I wouldn't want to stay behind that black BMW or be anywhere near it, not surprised he shot away from the traffic lights, it didn't undertake him, it crossed a double white line across his bows obviously not familiar with the road and you've got to wonder what it's going to do next.
