Is the Mustang Mach-e better than a tesla ?

- When you think electric car you think tesla and for a good reason ! The simple question is the Mustang Mache-E better than a Tesla Model Y, is it possible Ford and Mustang can take the crown away from Tesla.

To me this is better than a Tesla for two key reasons. 1. It has buttons that control things unlike a Tesla where you have to go to a touchscreen to open your glovebox. 2. It has a instrument cluster so you dont need to look to your left to see your current speed and other vital stats while driving, you know, the necessary things for motoring.
I like physical buttons and they should add heating controls back as physical buttons / dials as well. I know a few manufacturers are adding a few back. Understand they think it looks nice, probably cheaper but from a functional point of view it just is not as good. The pre LCI 3 series was a really good example of getting it right

Isn't the Mustang brand about "the freedom" of driving? The sense of being free to enjoy the road and the car?
The newest ICE Mustangs were beasts, like a Mustang, but the MachE is no less a Mustang than the others.
The freedom is there, the driving feeling is mostly there. Maybe in the future there'll be a new more slick EV Mustang, and as a first step it's an awesome Mustang.
Also, personally, I like the Mustangs up until the 90's, the 2000's and beyond are ugly (for me). Would that make them not a Mustang because I don't like them? No. No it wouldn't.
I think it’s a really good EV , build quality is good , comfortable ; although over undulating and bumpy roads feels a little unsettled and I quite like the looks. I don’t have a problem with it being a Mustang at all but a lot of people do, it’s just the next generation of Mustang and not the loud shouty version 😊

Is any EV better than a Tesla? Maybe I mean mine has those LED Matrix headlights. Those are just next level. But they're banned in the US for some reason. So I doubt Teslas fit them. So I that respect yes. What Tesla has though is a dedicated charging network totally reliable. Its the whole ownership experience you buy into when you get a Tesla. That's their USP. So yeah the MachE could well be better. It's a hatch so that's good. Model3 looks like a hatch but it's a saloon. My opinion just enjoy what you have, don't be comparing.
Charging around me is the major issue and even with a Tesla it would not help as there are very few chargers (although yesterday I saw 2 new charge stations down the road from where I live) I like Tesla in terms of the tech it offers and I am sure the silly acceleration is impressive but I have found after a few days you don’t really care about giving full send all the time.
More CCS chargers are coming on board every month and more cars are adopting CCS as standard.
