I pretty much listened to this on repeat for 2 weeks solid when a family member passed away. There was something so soothing about Burial's sparse, sombre and melancholic music....eurgh. So beautiful.
you listen to this song gives me power to go over everything bad in life, giving strength to continue to fight, fight for what is best. for angel nyky night. thank you there.pt tine nico
The drop is at 0:33 and it's one of the best drops I've ever heard. After the long minimal degradation it drops again at 3:28 and is just as beautiful as when it was first played. I don't really get how you missed it...
@riotkid52 Hi riotkid, I had the exact a same experience as you while running and listenin to Burial. This sort of deep inner energy induced by the syncopic rhythm that fist so well the running pace and the voices and ambience that kinds of permeates the nature around is just amazing. Somedays I just smile while running and fell like i could run for hours thanks to the music...... I am glad to see someone else has had the same experience !!! Big respect to Burial and his work. Cheers.
"i want you... here by my side" "nobody's by my side" typical cry for help from someone who has no close siblings that is in fostercare... Now listen to it again.. Love how sad this song is yet how enjoyable it is aswell
@riotkid52 not overrated, brave of you to share..arent we amazing creatures..those small breathtaking moments when our mind body and soul are dazzled by whats before us...glad im not alone in those moments!
One of the most experimental and unique artists.Love the Stuff with Massive Attack. Also worth checking other eclectic artists like Fourtet, Amon Tobin, Appleblim, Allflaws
If you love Burial you will also probably like Synkro, Manu Shrine, Vacant, Sorrow, Pensees and Sepalcure. A new one that just came out, also great: Phelian. I'm not sure of the timing, but all these sound very much like Burial's musical children. Regular UK Garage also has a lot of great tracks.
i love listening to Burial when I get sick of the usual stuff I listen to. I usually listen to heavier stuff like, Cookie Monsta, Skism, and Funtcase. But if I'm in a sad, or just in a mellow kinda mood I listen to some Burial, Kode9 or Digital Mystikz.
he is just a straight up genius, his stuff with massive attack was immense on the grandest of scales, four walls was my favourite, absolutely magical x
@GarlandBJJ from wikipedia - On 10 October 2011 Massive Attack announced the release of a 12 inch single in collaboration with Burial with the two tracks 'Four Walls' and 'Paradise Circus'. Massive Attack posted the track 'Four Walls' on their website. The record was limited to 1000 copies that sold out on the first day of pre-sale.
@riotkid52 Runners high maybe.... ? Awesome tune though. I haven't had a runners high for a few years but am back in the groove and it will happen soon. love light and peace p
@MOVIEmusicFIEND90 This song specifically is on the 5 years of hyperdub Cd... it's about £9.99, alternatively i think Burial has 2 albums released, which don't include this masterpiece.
Worth checking stuff: deadbeat, monolake, Pete Namlook, biosphere, boards of canada, autechre, vangelis... all of them freaking awesome artists :) if your feeling these, please recommend something...
Music is characterized by structured linguistics, the semiotics that are used as a descriptive to shed light on what this piece of expression signifies is subjective, everyone will have their own ideas of what it is. This is why so many musicians especially in genre's like this don't analyse their sound too much, something that shackleton once described in Wire mag
@iDmusic1 weird, i always listen to burial at night, sometimes i just put my headphones in and walk through the city at 3am and just let his music take me to another place.
@ivanstrangelove I've read before that Burial loved the nighttime. he would make music after the world woke up and began to intrude on his solitude. Guess he felt like they were interrupting his world in a way. His music was made for those of us like that :) *Cheers
@MnchiProductions i agree none of my friends know burial and we all have a vast taste in music, even if burial was posted everywhere it could only spread the word of euphoria
It's amazing how he maintains the same mood in all his tunes

Burial is without a doubt my favourite artist of all time.
Favorite song by Burial still to this day.
I used to be A M A Z E D by this track and video.. Then I lost it for hella years, and just re-found it like 10 years later, WOW !
As far as I'm concerned he's got his own unique sound so many comments on people trying to catagorise his music. The blokes a marvel of modern science.
The most beautiful and pure piece of music I have ever heard
Burial's music makes me feel so sad and happy at the same time
I pretty much listened to this on repeat for 2 weeks solid when a family member passed away. There was something so soothing about Burial's sparse, sombre and melancholic music....eurgh. So beautiful.
I love listening to Burial when I have just finished work. Burial is perfect to unwind too...
you listen to this song gives me power to go over everything bad in life, giving strength to continue to fight, fight for what is best. for angel nyky night. thank you there.pt tine nico
Wow... the difference from hearing this song through headphones, and then the stereo at home with a sub! The house shook!
Hands down my fav Burial song.
Esto es tan bueno que voy a llorar. Siempre es un placer revisitar a Burial.
no admite comparación. :)
Burial opened my eyes. His work is unbealivable!!!
Burial, thank you for freeing my thoughts every time I listen to your music.
1:30 , just before the bass drops, is possibly the most beautiful thing i've ever heard.

I am speechless. Burial puts me in a state of mind that nothing else puts me in
Anyone else still listening to this in 2023?
14 years later, it still feels futuristic.
the memories this song instills upon me makes me cry.
every blood time.
So much emotion in this song. It's beautiful
@riotkid52

I want to turn into a star... I feel so alone, where are you people that love this music???
"i want you... here by my side" "nobody's by my side" typical cry for help from someone who has no close siblings that is in fostercare... Now listen to it again.. Love how sad this song is yet how enjoyable it is aswell
Oooh, man. I've had this song stuck in my head for the longest time and I just now remembered it was this song.
This song is pure beauty - I like what you've done with the video too.
Beautiful.... astonishingly beautiful.
crackin little tune... fits my buzz superbly!!!
this is now my favourite song in the world... for all time...
i cant wait until im driving and i can play Burials music on a beautiful summers morning!
Probably why he is so 'shy', hero of the underground. I love the fact that phenomenons like Burial are out there and stay in their grounded position
@riotkid52 i got goosebumps just from reading this!!
Indeed.... deep and long hidden emotions showing up...
@riotkid52
not overrated, brave of you to share..arent we amazing creatures..those small breathtaking moments when our mind body and soul are dazzled by whats before us...glad im not alone in those moments!
What a stupid question. This is not just music.
It's also emotions the artist is expressing through a virtual machine.
the vocals on this track are mesmerizing. wow just wow
I love the dark tone in this track. I can't get it out of my system!
one of the best from Burial, imo.
One of the most experimental and unique artists.Love the Stuff with Massive Attack.

This song makes me want to feel the warmth of melancholy in my car driving aimlessly on a rainy day
this song dissects my mind.. and condensates my thoughts.
"why would you leave me by myself?"
beautiful song.

love this track / good movie
the way burial produces vocals and samples like he does is just mindblowing. this is fucking amazing.
This Burial guy is on his own level... Damn, this song is SO SO SO SO SO SO GOOD
Burial is a dubstep artist its as simple as that. He has a few house tracks and some ambient ones but everything else fits under dubstep easily.
Bass reminds me I'm alive
preach
Love this song pure feelings, Coki and Burial are my favorites :D
The build up to 3:27 isn't something I can put in to words. It's just so perfect.
Though it could be said, burials production was scene defining, so good he set the groundwork for a future style years to come.
I listen to metal most of the time, but i must say after a hard days work, this would be nice to just sit down and relax to as ambience
3:26 OHHH BURIAL WHY ARE YOU GODDD
@appleoptionescape Agreed. Everything is a comfort zone for me going from folk to metal. I will listen to anything.
@riotkid52 Runners high maybe.... ? Awesome tune though. I haven't had a runners high for a few years but am back in the groove and it will happen soon. love light and peace p
enchanting ! well done !!!

The video fits the music perfectly.
Nice job.
Worth checking stuff: deadbeat, monolake, Pete Namlook, biosphere, boards of canada, autechre, vangelis... all of them freaking awesome artists :) if your feeling these, please recommend something...

In this fight for our lives,
A fight for survival,
We can seek the earth,
A burial's revival.
@iDmusic1 weird, i always listen to burial at night, sometimes i just put my headphones in and walk through the city at 3am and just let his music take me to another place.
this is some very dark music.. but it seems relaxing at the same time
the best song ever full stop
Check Rammstein - Mutter intro, sounds a lot similar, wonder if this is another one of Burials cryptic samples
Dear Santa please give me a tutorial about how to make such an amazing kick drum
@TeenageSpaceman
Thank you, I've always wondered what that was!
LOL who doesnt want to be famous as a producer, but burial is just another planet... Daft Punk and Deadmau5 also
I wish they make a song all together
Bigggg lightttttt come on genus.something the sort about monsters this a beat that will b remember on judgement day..Gravitybeats.
This video's design is fucking bomb, really awesome video paired with already phenomenal song.
@ivanstrangelove I've read before that Burial loved the nighttime. he would make music after the world woke up and began to intrude on his solitude. Guess he felt like they were interrupting his world in a way. His music was made for those of us like that :) *Cheers

my fav track from them :)
I think I just Chillsploded!
BTW we need more people in this world like @Apathyfilled . Never be afraid to go outside your comfort zone.
phat bass on that
the tune is unbelievable, but that is not open for debate :) but i must say the vid is awesome too, which was rather unexpected. big up to author!
WOW!!! Loves It!!!
@MnchiProductions i agree none of my friends know burial and we all have a vast taste in music, even if burial was posted everywhere it could only spread the word of euphoria
thank you so much for puting it here!
nice one mate and up da gunnerzzzzz
I think some people don't have the imaginary capabilities to be taken somewhere else with Burial's music.. you've gotta let go and embrace it
super song
@webley566 It's from the 5 Years of Hyperdub compilation, out in 09
Listen to Appleblim and Geiom - Shreds. It is one of my favorite dubstep tunes of all time.
you need good subwoofers or headfones to hear the bass this is real dubstep and not the mainstream stuff
speachless this left me.
