Why You Can’t Get a Pullover

- Most likely there are 3 reasons you're not achieving your gymnastics pullover.
1. You're dropping your chin
2. You're not rotating your hips over the bar
3. You're not shifting your hands on top of the bar

I can do but I just can't get myself over I can do it at gymnastics because my teacher is helping me

I already know how to do a pullover I have bars at my school so I used to be so scared to do it but I finally got it a long time ago

I literally quit gymnastics when I was 8 because I couldn't figure out how to do it and my coach yelled at me that if she could do it I could learn to do it
Why would she yell at you I don't no how to do my coach don't yell at me for not knowing how to do it
@@jackthepro5262 her reasoning was that if she could do it that I could do it and didn't like that I was a bit scared to do something
Can you do a back hip circle one I'm struggling with them
Just cast a lot and and let your legs take you around
practice doing dish rocks as that helps with your shape and is pretty much what you do on th bar and when you do it on the bar make sure you stay in that dish shape and your hips do not leave that bar!!

I don't have a home bar btw so I had to wait to do it at my gymnastics class.
Been trying since October 2023 then I found this, I also started late at 10 in October.
I do all of those but I can’t get my pullover 😭
Pullovers are hard and take time and consistent work and consistent arm strengthening. Just keep at it! :)
Its really useful! But im a kid ive been doing rhem for adults and kids nothing works but this is a savior good job!
This really helped me! I’m in level silver and have struggled on my pullover since beginner. This has really helped me especially since I can never get my hips above the bar! Do you have any workout tips to help get this skill?

Don’t even do gymnastics but it’s still fun to try and do these moves. My friends little sister does it and has a bar. she’s five and can do a pull over, my friend is my age and can too (she doesn’t do gymnastics) they’re currently helping me out lol

I'll try and make a video as soon as I can but just remember to
1. Stay tight
2. Don't throw your head back
3. Shift your wrists fast!

I'm a level 7 gymnast and I'm not saying that this is for everyone but when I first got my chin-up pullover the only problem that I was having was that I kept on trying to get my legs up instead of up and then around. I don't know if that's the right way to explain it like I just tried to get my legs up instead of getting them around the bar. Hopefully you can understand whoever sees this!!!😊

It’s a bar skill it’s what you do in I think level
7 on high bar to get to handstand or maybe it’s level 8 but it’s fun I can do it on straps

Shift your wrists and also rotate you hips like a back roll. :)

This is for beginners. This is how they learn. Once you can do a pull over you don't need to do it step by step much.
