You guys have asked how I clean my junk and in this video feature on the AutoEdits Adventure Ram truck... I'll show you almost every step!
I just got back from an epic trip into Baja Mexico and the truck is properly filthy dirty.
I'll demonstrate some of the tried and true techniques I've used over the years and show a few of the products that have worked great for me... like Bleach White tire cleaner and the new set of Lucas Oil Products like Tool Box Buddy and their line of auto detail products called Slick Mist.
If you want to give any of these things a try... go to the AutoEdits Amazon Storefront. www.amazon.com...
Thanks so much for watching and I hope this helps you make your vehicle look great and you have some fun in the process!

Right off the bat you got the other big benefit to washing your rig, and caught that gash in the tire. A good hand wash puts you in a position to touch and inspect everything. Loose bolts, hanging wire, nail in tire, all have the potential to strand you on some off road adventure. Thanks for the share.

@@AutoEdits a foam cannon distributes the soap a lot better than the soap setting on your pressure washer. It also helps the soap/ suds hang out on tbe paint longer and can even pick up the dirt and suspend it in the soap solution which can help prevent scratches. Its a decent investment, I want to say I paid like $18 for mine on amazon and I've had it for nearly 3 years and its still going strong. Great job cleaning up all that mud! I don't use the pressure washer too much for the belly, I just throw a sprinkler under and leave it for 10 minutes on each section. One issue with muddy water/sand is if it fills up the bell housing, your transmission pump/torque converter seals will get destroyed while they are spinning. Just found this out on my F-150...ugh.

@@AutoEdits I use a nice $16 cannon. www.amazon.com/DUSICHIN-SFL-001-Pressure-Release-Adjustable/dp/B00WPKHFA6/ I use my favorite soap and put it in the bottle.
I then adjust the top knob for the most bubbles and then adjust the nozzle for the best coverage. The super bubbly soap that is now foam will pick up dirt off the paint and carry it away. Gets the truck cleaner quicker. With the Foam still on the paint you can use your favorite wash mitt with the 2 bucket method to keep your paint from getting scratched while you wash the truck.
With the undercarriage I put dish soap in the bottle and set the nozzle so the foam is a lil more direct. The dish soap will pick up more oils and dirt. I do this to get the dirt out from under my fenders. My Instagram (Skitter302) has a few photos of how I lather up the foam.

I need some advise .i have a 2017 Jeep rubicon recon it came with mud terrain tires
And they already have bumps on the front

Please give me advise on what kind of tires would be best for snow. Dirt and road driving
But still looking rugged I would like to stay with my stalk rims and not higher then 33

I have a lot of miles on the Falken Wildpeak M/T like you see on this truck and like them a bunch... Plus I have a bunch of great experience with the Maxxis Razr and will probably get another set for the Jeep. I hear great things about the new BFG KM3 and the new Milestar Patagonia... can't really go wrong... pick the one you like the look of best and you'll be in good shape!

I bought a 80 dollar 3000 psi electric pressure washer I’ve had it for 4 years and it works better then a gas one and I never even have to put gas and it costs almost nothing to run it. I pressure wash cars in winter in 5 minutes in my garage without worrying about stinking the whole garage or being to loud. I also have a turbo nozzle that will take paint off a car if needed 😂

Knock as much rust off with a wire wheel and sanding discs to inspect the frame and components. If everything is in good shape paint it with the stuff I mention in this video ua-cam.com/video/0jXUqi1lcKs/v-deo.html

Jason, I keep revisiting this video and your Jeep cleaning video and love the content! Quick question though, would you ever consider Rhino or Line-X as an undercoating? May not be too big a deal for Southern California but snow states would love to know. Lots of misinformation out there and hope you’re willing to weigh in on the subject? Thanks man!

    • @AutoEdits
      @AutoEdits  4 роки тому

Howdy! I'm not sure how the line-x (or like product) would do on all the suspension bits and pieces and I've heard that if there was any corrosion underneath when it gets applied... it keeps going. What about that Por15 or something along those lines? It has properties to seal and protect.
