Love the Bohn Armor Craig! Love your Swiss Army knife triple black GSA too. Like your Wing nicely appointed. The LAAM features look fantastic. Fall is definitely here in North Texas and it’s wonderful. Safe travels and many miles of smiles.
It looks like you did the homework before you did the purchase. It's a very nice seat. Having the Goldwing as a backup makes it easy to send the BMW seat out for modifications 😊😊
Great video. My GSA does not have heated seats either and that Laam seat looks a bunch better than RDL's offerings. For the record I run my stocker in the high front and low back to eliminate front sliding but to have a manufacturer do it is nice.
Craig...great info on this seat...never heard of them before...curious about your comment concerning your Sargent seat and riding off road...do you think the LAAM is too wide for off road/standing riding which is why you'd ride the Sargent off road? Is the sargent seat not flat (I thought it was). I want a new seat but would prefer one that can do it all (touring & off road).
The Laam seat is definitely more comfortable than the Sargent. So if you are doing long distance it is definitely the way to go. Additionally, I don't think it's too wide to use it off road at all.
Now that you've had the LAAM seat for a while, is it as comfortable as the RD? I have the RDL on my Goldwing and it's amazing. However, I now also have a 1250 GSA and I can't take the stock seat. Tne LAAM looks interesting but I'm used to all day comfort
The RDL is definitely the most comfortable. I would have went with them, I just didn't like the look. However, I just put on 1,400 miles on a trip to Americade with the Laam seat. Absolutely no discomfort whatsoever. WAAAAAY better than stock. Not even a fair comparison between the two. Don't hesitate about getting a LAAM seat. I believe Seth Laam used to work for RDL. As a point of reference, I think one day I did about 500 miles on the LAAM seat. No problems or discomfort at all. One recommendation. If you suffer from sliding forward on your stock seat, let Seth know and he can correct that when he makes the seat

I still do have the Sargent seat. I modified the original factory seat to the LAAM. I do like the Sargent and I definitely recommend it over the factory. I added the LAAM because it could be customized to eliminate the forward slide. It is more comfortable than the Sargent if you are doing longer rides/trips. Also, I wanted to add heat as mine did not come with that factory option. I preferred the single button that is installed on the LAAM seat as opposed to the controller that you have to attach to the handle bar for the Sargent. But you definitely can't go wrong with the Sargent. If I ever get the courage to do some off road stuff, I will throw the Sargent back on the bike. Thanks for watching!
That thing looks very comfortable! What's your impression at this point in your ownership of it? I have the standard R1250GS with the BMW comfort seat option and well... Its not too great! It's good for a stock seat but after riding all day my ass still hurts. I think it's foam is just a little too soft so when I sink down into it for the whole day it gets uncomfortable.
It definitely is waaaaay better than the stock seat or the comfort seat. I have the Sargent seat as well. That is better than stock but not as good as Laam. I don't think you would be disappointed. You can ride all day on it with no discomfort
Thank you for the subscription. Yes still riding the seat and it is great. Overall, I would say Russell Day Long makes the best aftermarket seat. However, I like the subtle looks of the LAAM seat better. I believe that Seth LAAM formerly worked at Russell Day Long. Their products are very similar.
Nice seat , I don’t have the sliding forward problem with the stock seat , I also like my factory heating element in my 2021 GSA , would they be able to re use it ???

I think Russell Day Long is the best seat. However, this one is only a shade off from that. Both are light years ahead of the stock seat

Yes. They can incorporate your factory heating element. Ride safe!
