I totally agree with everything! I’m not a fan of the multi Pochette accessoires in canvas, but the black empreinte version is probably my most used bag. I don’t wear it all assembled because it’s a little much, but I love wearing the leather strap with the large or small bag separately. Very versatile and doesn’t scream logo.
I'm with you on the Speedy, but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Pochette Metis, so much so that I just added a second one in black empreinte leather. The bag that didn't work out for me was the Louis Vuitton Mahina Babylone Chain BB. Like the Speedy, the opening was too narrow. Sold it to Fashionphile--no regrets.
I have 5/7 of bags mentioned: Pochette Metis in monogram, Neverfull in the same Stephen Sprouse Roses print as you have, Speedy 30 in black multicolor, same Keepall 45 Macassar as you have and Alma BB in damier ebene and also Alma PM in Amarante Vernis. I love them all! 🥰 But must say, I agree with many things you said, so these are very good points to consider for those who are debating if they should buy one of these bags. 😊

I recently want to purchase a bag from LV, and i quite like the LV BAGATELLE, but I don’t know which color will worth to buy, I think the gray is nice on the picture, but too dark when I see it in store, the white is nice but too easy to get dirty. While I do love my Pochette Métis, I agree about the Neverfull and Speedy. I have and just never use them for some reason, esp the Neverfull. The straps are just too short and uncomfortable. I keep trying the Speedy but it never sticks 😂. I also kind of like the Alma bb but your points are not wrong. And I find it annoying to wear crossbody as the strap clips on diagonally and it makes the bag sit uneven which bothers me. I prefer it top handle for an evening out but I don’t like top handle bags so there you go. I won’t sell them however because of the ridiculous price increases and I am hoping my daughter will want them at some point.
I've been putting my Speedys in a work tote when I go to work 🤣😅🤣 I like to leave the tote behind at work and take the Speedy with me to lunch or appointments where all my work stuff I carry is not needed. Much more organized now lol
The Alma BB is so perfect 🥰 You should try her out! The OTG GM didn't work for me. She's awesome for travel. But I needed something that gave more purse vibes. The Mm size is perfect 🖤

I love my Speedy 25b, it's my go to. I would never have a medium classic flap again. I think I used it twice, but brought it because "every handbag collection should have one". Let's just say lesson learnt!
I have the alma, the neverfull and speedy b 25. I actually use them quite a lot :D I travel a lot so if I have my laptop, I use the neverfull. If I don't need the laptop, the speedy is great. Alma is for the evening, bc I hate the strap. You just need to find a niche for them. LV is just so worry free. I loveeee mine.
I agree! I never thought that the Neverfull and Speedy suit my lifestyle the best. The Alma BB is my fave handheld. I guess I'm basic for some. I prefer the Neverfull over the boxy On-the-Go. I travelled by air and from Europe to US and cross country, and I have most of by bags inside the Neverfull.
Great video and discussion topic! I loved reading the comment section. I have been debating the OTG and you may have helped me make up my mind to get one. The bag I would not buy again is any bag with a really wide bottom like the speedy. Just sold my Dior open bar tote bag. It can hold a lot but sticks out so far it looks awkward when carrying. And it was super heavy! Keep up the great content!
I use to swear by the Pochette Metis until mine started cracking and LV just tells me it’s a progression of use. It was a nightmare to deal with. I was really turn off by the lack of quality. Love this video ☺️
Totally agree about the first 5 bags for the same reasons. Can't speak about no.6, the trunk, as I've never tried it or even seen it in real life, but it certainly looks stunning😍😍. Hopefully I can one day own this style. The Alma though is another story, I agree it is quite frustrating to use, especially the mini. Some times I have to empty out all the contents just to get to the item I'm looking for. Still, I have five of them, one of which in epi leather was my every day bag for almost 18 years. I would gladly add more if I can find a pre loved one at a good price. Your Neverful and giant monogram Speedy are both lovely, different and certainly worth keeping.
I purchased that reverse monogram speedy 39 and the moment it arrived I knew it was just not for me. It was just so big, bulky and busy. I sold it shortly after that. I do love my speedy 25s and 20.
New subbie here 👋🏽 I LOVE the savagery in this video! I bought the Pochette Metis in the black/cream bicolor empreinte giant mono, and could not get over how annoying it was to close it! Took too long to return to the boutique, but luckily a consignment shop bought it for exactly what I paid for it. I do have the Nano Speedy and LOVE her so much. It’s the perfect everyday bag, even fits a small umbrella!

Yes you’re right it does, I didn’t really think about that when I got mine. For travel I think of the Keepall , but the speedy can be a little big for everyday
I use my Speedy B 25 for every day but mostly because it’s such a casual and low maintenance bag. Though I agree the larger ones give me travel vibes. I actually need a 30 or 35 in my collection for travel. ☺️
I totally agree with preferring the on the go over the never full! The never full just felt like a sack to me, even with an organizer. I got rid of it within a few days. I much prefer the structure of the on the go.
I have the speedy 30, while I love it it’s not the most easy to carry. It’s useful if you need a lot but as mine isn’t the bandoulière version then it’s a heavy top handle. I have the Alma BB and find it very practical. Sits beautifully, fits a lot (I’m diabetic and carry insulin, blood test kits etc). The only thing I change out is my European sized wallet to a card holder and it’s perfect.
Love this vid I discovered your chanel recently, and up until yesterday I was considering buying a Louis Vuitton bag. But I then thought the classic styles are very common and there's too many companies making fakes of them. I am now considering buying a Mulberry bag instead what are your thoughts?
Great video. For me the bags I won’t buy again now or if I could go back in time are my first two Chanel bags. One is velvet and the other is calf hair in BEAUTIFUL seasonal colors. The reason I started my luxury collection with them is that I really loved them. However after a while I realized it would have been better to start any luxury collection with versatile bags that work for multiple occasions, then add seasonal ones here and there. Due to the colors/materials of these two bags, I’m only able to use them fall/winter and for going out/special occasions. I don’t want a large luxury bag collection, that is why I wish I got something different maybe from different brands, and in more neutral colors. I still love these two bags and will continue using them because they are very sentimental to me and I can’t let them go.
Hi!! Just looked an Alma BB today in Framboise. You are so right about usability! The zippers would probably scratch up my hands and belongings when removing items from the bag.
I position the zips on the curve, that way I can just use one zip to fasten/unfasten it whilst wearing. It opens quite large and I’ve had no issues with accessibility but I do wear it as a long shoulder with the handles flat - it’s very much like an elegant camera style bag if that helps. That Framboise colour is beautiful 😍.

What do you think about Petit Noe is it good to keep for the future? I agree with all specially Alam BB, the strap easily pops up for no reason I sold mind. NVF has hurt the shoulder so heavily, that I only kept Speedy Ban 25 and Noe.
I had many variations of the speedy as well and sold all except the nano speedy. Also same with the neverfull i bought and sold bought and sold. I have the multi pochette which i do regret bc the price tag was hefty but will hold on to bc i don't want to lose $$ on it. Toiletry pouches i have had many times and sold but still have the game on one. Still love LV but lately been into Celine triomphe canvas 🖤🖤
You are breaking my heart hahah I LOVE my pochette metis and my speedies!! I don't own a neverfull just because i like when my bags are able to securely close. i also adore my keepall but i admit i hardly use it because it is flashy, expensive and heavy.
I SOOO regret selling my Alma BB in rose litchi! A gorgeous limited edition pink vernis leather. I didn’t find it difficult to use while wearing it cross body. Ohhh if I could find one in excellent condition… 💔
That’s funny what you found for yourself about the alma. I find my bb quite easy to use, even with its strap on, no issue. Agree on the speedy, though.

I 100% agree with every single bag you spoke about. I had the speedy 25 bandolier and although it was super pretty it still did not work for me. I also had the Alma Bb in Vernis and loved the look but hated the bag - the Vernis is super stiff and hard to deal with .
Glad it’s not just me Lisa! They’re all beautiful bags - just yes sometimes they don’t work out do they. The vernis is one of my favourite leathers from LV but the shape of the Alma is faffy I find to use. Thanks for commenting
I brought the largest size of strathberry tote, it’s huge but fit so little. I brought it asmy work bag but it just doesn’t fit my A4 files. So hard to go in and out because of the design and it’s heavy when it is that bag. Sold it and switch to the midi size,loveeeeee it ! I will carry my laptop and files in a separate tote
The bag that didn't work out for me is my Chanel Maxi single flap in red lambskin. I still have it but haven't used it at all. It's too big - I'm 5'3 so it looks giant on me. I hope big bags come back in style soon so I can sell it 😌
I also wanted to love my Neverfull mm and speedy empriente 25 but I didn’t use it much. Neverfull was too big and I still like speedy but maybe 20 is a better size for me. I sold both and I don’t really regret it.
Wow, you and I really have similar tastes. I managed to get the my hands on the Speedy 30 giant reverse monogram a few years back Thought I had died and gone to heaven, until I started carrying it. Felt big, bulking and conspicuous. I sold it about 6 weeks after I purchased it. I don't own a speedy and I also have never bought a Neverfull, however I do like the few Neverfulls that have a shoulder strap. I own a black epi BB Alma, I have considered selling it, but every time I carry it I fall back in love with it's elegant simplicity. I also have the reverse monogram Pochette Metis, which I totally love as my carefree run around bag. I agree on the Multi-Pochette, way too fussy and expensive for what it is. I also have a PM black empreinte leather which I quite like how easy it is to use. I also have a NeoNoe but find the dividing piece in the middle makes it tougher to access so have fallen out of love with that bag. Would sell it but my daughter would kill me :) Louis Vuitton has gotten so ridiculously expensive that I have added a black mini Flap Bag from Chanel, the black small Deauville tote and some Dior and Gucci. It took me quite a while to go to other brands, but LV has not had many new good designs that are worth the money in my opinion. I love following you and you always share great information!
I have wanted to get a speedy because I think it would be a great every day bag, but I feel like they are so easily duped that it would just look cheap. Most of their other bags aren't big enough for me or just difficult to use. I'm personally not going to spend high dollar on a tote bag either. Nope.

@@Handbagholic oh gosh, the marcie, the nile, the tess.... all bags i never reached for after a year. I was lured in by the trends and decent price points! I've now realized i'm much better off saving for classic pieces that are easier to style with different outfits

Why don’t people wear the Speedy as a shoulder bag with the shortest strap setting? you can take off the second part of the detachable strap which reduces the drop and just carry it as a standard shoulder bag when you get tired carrying it around as top handle. The speedy 30 is an amazing work bag, everyday bag for those who carry more things around, as well as a travel or a mom bag. It’s extremely versatile and classy. The speedy 20 makes a beautiful cross body bag, but the 30 was never meant to be a cross body.
I have all of those but thinking of selling them because they just became boring to me 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ maybe because I do see them everywhere the love worn off !!

I never buy the alma I just don’t like the shape also pochette metis doesn’t caught my eye but the neverfull I love it specially in special edition colors same as the speedy 25 or my speedy 20 I love them.. I love LV for the different designs and fun colors every year
I like the pochette metis, and want it in reverse monogram, but there's something about the bag that making me hesitant. I'm not completely in love with it. I never liked the multipochette. I feel like that is the most overhyped & overpriced bag from Louis Vuitton. I feel the same about the neverfull. I have one in my collection, but I never use it anymore. I love the alma because of the shape. It's literally the only structured bag that I love. I'm not a structured bag kinda girl. The only bag I disagree about is the speedy. I love the speedy b jumbo monogram bag. I wish I had it in my collection. I love both of my speedy 30 bandoulieres. I live for the slouch!🙌🏽
That is the key with the speedy. Let it be slouchy. The cool and vintage vibe is the way to go. It is not meant to be structured. no organizer or something like that. Let it to its thing
@@Luftballon1970 precisely. I bought a base shaper for the bottom of the bag, and I didn't like the structured shape at all. I just let it slouch in all of it's beautiful glory. And even though I don't carry a lot in my bag, the speedy 30 size gives me the option to. 🙌🏽
It really was! It would be so nice to see that style on other styles of bags. It was gorgeous but I didn’t want to keep it as an display piece, she deserved to see the world! (Without a nervous wreck of an owner) haha

I am new to luxury bags but I never liked speedy, never imagine myself ever liking it. I feel like it's a luggage bag made small, it's not a shopping bag.
Not surprising that these bags wouldn’t work for you since you love tiny handbags and you tend to have a very sophisticated style. You don’t love the really casual and sporty LV bags or the big ones. And for travel, I honestly would not own anything without spinner wheels. It would be crazy! I travel with a mobility cart, a service dog, 27 lbs in my lap, and can glide two spinner bags through a hotel or an airport.
Love your giant monogram Speedy B, I would use it as a Personal piece for air travel as it would fit under the seat. Hate my bag in the locker bin because my flights are almost all long haul so I need access to my bag (snacks 😂) fairly often. Have 5 luxury bags and enjoy them all.
This vid should be titled "why I hate LV" . LOL. I mean, the speedy, NF, Alma & keepall are all iconic bags that give the brand its "brand" 😳 they're iconic for a reason 🙄
I still have about 10 LV bags in my collection so definitely not - I love the brand. These ‘icons’ didn’t work out for me and this is why. Doesn’t mean they won’t be loved by others.

I love to wear my Alma bb as a shoulder bag. I double the crossbody strap and it makes it also easier to get in and out of! ❤️

I think that’s the main porpoise of LV functionality,maybe they aren’t the most beautiful but definitely all super functional.

Great video! This video is very insightful! Bucket bags are not secure enough for me and so, they just don’t work out for my lifestyle.

You do know the speedy ranges in size from a very small nano right? To the speedy 20 & so forth. Those are small bags 😳

It opens quite large and I’ve had no issues with accessibility but I do wear it as a long shoulder with the handles flat - it’s very much like an elegant camera style bag if that helps. That Framboise colour is beautiful 😍.

What do you think about Petit Noe is it good to keep for the future? I agree with all specially Alam BB, the strap easily pops up for no reason I sold mind. NVF has hurt the shoulder so heavily, that I only kept Speedy Ban 25 and Noe.
My Alma strap pop off for what I thought was for no reason. Until I realized I was hooking it in wrong direction. Have not had a problem 1 time since.

I had many variations of the speedy as well and sold all except the nano speedy. Also same with the neverfull i bought and sold bought and sold. I have the multi pochette which i do regret bc the price tag was hefty but will hold on to bc i don't want to lose $$ on it. Toiletry pouches i have had many times and sold but still have the game on one. Still love LV but lately been into Celine triomphe canvas 🖤🖤

You are breaking my heart hahah I LOVE my pochette metis and my speedies!! I don't own a neverfull just because i like when my bags are able to securely close. i also adore my keepall but i admit i hardly use it because it is flashy, expensive and heavy.
I SOOO regret selling my Alma BB in rose litchi! A gorgeous limited edition pink vernis leather. I didn’t find it difficult to use while wearing it cross body. Ohhh if I could find one in excellent condition… 💔

I 100% agree with every single bag you spoke about. I had the speedy 25 bandolier and although it was super pretty it still did not work for me. I also had the Alma Bb in Vernis and loved the look but hated the bag - the Vernis is super stiff and hard to deal with .
Glad it’s not just me Lisa! They’re all beautiful bags - just yes sometimes they don’t work out do they. The vernis is one of my favourite leathers from LV but the shape of the Alma is faffy I find to use. Thanks for commenting
I brought the largest size of strathberry tote, it’s huge but fit so little. I brought it asmy work bag
but it just doesn’t fit my A4 files. So hard to go in and out because of the design and it’s heavy when it is that bag.
Sold it and switch to the midi size,loveeeeee it ! I will carry my laptop and files in a separate tote
The bag that didn't work out for me is my Chanel Maxi single flap in red lambskin. I still have it but haven't used it at all. It's too big - I'm 5'3 so it looks giant on me. I hope big bags come back in style soon so I can sell it 😌

I also wanted to love my Neverfull mm and speedy empriente 25 but I didn’t use it much. Neverfull was too big and I still like speedy but maybe 20 is a better size for me. I sold both and I don’t really regret it.
Wow, you and I really have similar tastes. I managed to get the my hands on the Speedy 30 giant reverse monogram a few years back Thought I had died and gone to heaven, until I started carrying it. Felt big, bulking and conspicuous. I sold it about 6 weeks after I purchased it. I don't own a speedy and I also have never bought a Neverfull, however I do like the few Neverfulls that have a shoulder strap. I own a black epi BB Alma, I have considered selling it, but every time I carry it I fall back in love with it's elegant simplicity. I also have the reverse monogram Pochette Metis, which I totally love as my carefree run around bag. I agree on the Multi-Pochette, way too fussy and expensive for what it is. I also have a PM black empreinte leather which I quite like how easy it is to use. I also have a NeoNoe but find the dividing piece in the middle makes it tougher to access so have fallen out of love with that bag. Would sell it but my daughter would kill me :) Louis Vuitton has gotten so ridiculously expensive that I have added a black mini Flap Bag from Chanel, the black small Deauville tote and some Dior and Gucci. It took me quite a while to go to other brands, but LV has not had many new good designs that are worth the money in my opinion. I love following you and you always share great information!

I have wanted to get a speedy because I think it would be a great every day bag, but I feel like they are so easily duped that it would just look cheap. Most of their other bags aren't big enough for me or just difficult to use. I'm personally not going to spend high dollar on a tote bag either. Nope.

I don’t mind if I see a bag I own everywhere. If I like a bag ; I’m going ton” rock” it.
Why don’t people wear the Speedy as a shoulder bag with the shortest strap setting? you can take off the second part of the detachable strap which reduces the drop and just carry it as a standard shoulder bag when you get tired carrying it around as top handle. The speedy 30 is an amazing work bag, everyday bag for those who carry more things around, as well as a travel or a mom bag. It’s extremely versatile and classy. The speedy 20 makes a beautiful cross body bag, but the 30 was never meant to be a cross body.
I have all of those but thinking of selling them because they just became boring to me 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ maybe because I do see them everywhere the love worn off !!

I never buy the alma I just don’t like the shape also pochette metis doesn’t caught my eye but the neverfull I love it specially in special edition colors same as the speedy 25 or my speedy 20 I love them.. I love LV for the different designs and fun colors every year

I like the pochette metis, and want it in reverse monogram, but there's something about the bag that making me hesitant. I'm not completely in love with it. I never liked the multipochette. I feel like that is the most overhyped & overpriced bag from Louis Vuitton. I feel the same about the neverfull. I have one in my collection, but I never use it anymore. I love the alma because of the shape. It's literally the only structured bag that I love. I'm not a structured bag kinda girl. The only bag I disagree about is the speedy. I love the speedy b jumbo monogram bag. I wish I had it in my collection. I love both of my speedy 30 bandoulieres. I live for the slouch!🙌🏽
That is the key with the speedy. Let it be slouchy. The cool and vintage vibe is the way to go. It is not meant to be structured. no organizer or something like that. Let it to its thing
@@Luftballon1970 precisely. I bought a base shaper for the bottom of the bag, and I didn't like the structured shape at all. I just let it slouch in all of it's beautiful glory. And even though I don't carry a lot in my bag, the speedy 30 size gives me the option to. 🙌🏽

I am new to luxury bags but I never liked speedy, never imagine myself ever liking it. I feel like it's a luggage bag made small, it's not a shopping bag.

Not surprising that these bags wouldn’t work for you since you love tiny handbags and you tend to have a very sophisticated style. You don’t love the really casual and sporty LV bags or the big ones.
And for travel, I honestly would not own anything without spinner wheels. It would be crazy! I travel with a mobility cart, a service dog, 27 lbs in my lap, and can glide two spinner bags through a hotel or an airport.
Love your giant monogram Speedy B, I would use it as a Personal piece for air travel as it would fit under the seat. Hate my bag in the locker bin because my flights are almost all long haul so I need access to my bag (snacks 😂) fairly often. Have 5 luxury bags and enjoy them all.

I still have about 10 LV bags in my collection so definitely not - I love the brand. These ‘icons’ didn’t work out for me and this is why. Doesn’t mean they won’t be loved by others.
