What irritates me is the bait and switch tactic that Logitech uses even though 3M/s tracking speed is enough for most casual gamers. I saw one YT video where someone did flick shots and the new lightsync was spinning out. The problem with mouse wheel is that the wheel encoder (G102 uses mechanical encoder instead of optical) has got a dust in it, no way to clean it easily and the only thing to do is to desolder and swap in a new one.

After watching I think it's better for me to check on other options. I was under the impression that all Logitech mice are using the same sensor, and I quite like the sensor on my G402 (never spun out on me once and I play on 400dpi) Btw, would be awesome if you can do some videos, especially when it comes to competitive gaming peripherals (monitors, mice, mousepads, gpus) in English too. I'm from Sri Lanka and I know a little bit of Hindi, just enough to understand what you are saying for most part. 😅 But yeah, would be awesome if you can do the whole video in English.

I would love to do all of my videos in English but my English is not the best. But I do try to add subtitles to almost every video. If you have any questions then do let me know
Just replace the switches with kailh GM 2.0/8.0 and some others whichever you prefer and you are good to go for another 3 years. Why spending money on complete mouse if the issue is only switches? I've done the same and I recommend this to everyone who is G102 lover.
I bought this in 2019 July. Started double clicking in 2020 January. Got it replaced (Logitech customer support is terrific). It started double clicking in 2nd half of 2022 again. Not bad for a mouse that could last 3 yrs for 1500 but double click is a huge issue

I am a long time g102 user, I have been using this for 1.5yrs after playing fps games for 1.5 years the click button is double clicking. I just opened up the 102 and ordered the same class microswitch from rs components. And now it is good as new. I must say it is a very good quality product.

But after few months scroll wheel totally stopped functioning. Now it doesnt even scroll forward or backward or just randomly sends input while playing which is literally unusable. okay so hi, I've been using the G102 Lightsync for the past 1.5 years, (maybe, i bought it around April/May 2021 I think?), and here's the honest review: This mouse was way beyond expectations for the first 10 months, really. I was a beginner at valorant, but after changing to this mouse, i really felt the difference. I climbed up to around Gold at that time (from iron 2) with this mouse. But then the problems started kicking in. The Double clicking issue started, but no it didn't happen always, but approx around 4 out of 10 clicks were double clicks. The scroll wheel failed horrendously, like really bad. If I scroll up, it goes down, and vice versa 🤣 Yeah so that's all, sensors work all fine, and I climbed to Plat last month, and after that, it was unplayable with the G103, the Double clicking was way out of hands.
my g102 works fine but the double click or sumn else idk what causes the mouse to stop shooting in the middle of a 1v1 it's so annoying that i use the right click to shoot now, searching for another budget mouse which is not prone to the double click i thought abt buying the viper mini but it's out of stock everywhere 😢
@@xe0n37 go for the viper mini or the deathadder essential, i use the DA cuz of my long hands, and the ergonomic design of the mouse is really comfortable for me. P.S., the mouse is heavy (98-100g), but i got accustomed to it.
My mouse had a major scroll wheel problem.. to a point where it became unusable. A few months later, I found a very easy and simple fix Spray some lubricant in the sensor, and scroll it a couple of times.. Worked for me..

I play valorant at 800dpi and in game sensi 0.57 i flick at a speed that you can't see a frame between that on 144hz but I never had any issue with this mouse.. i recommend you this mouse because it is the best at it's price... i have used this mouse for nearly a year. Never faced any issue.
The Ant fans are not worth it if you are planning to get 9 fans. I would prefer deepcool ones or cooler master personally. But the Antec prizm fans are not bad.
For double clicking use the mouse with clean hands so it won't let dirt accumulate inside it , or if you're already facing double click issues then dis assemble and clean it with a cotton+alcohol solution
The levels are at -4.4dBa after upload, which is normal and almost close to industry standards. Increasing it any further will actually lead to clipping. But I will keep it in mind
I have working Logitech mouse for the last 13 years. It still works with no double clicking issues. But the sensor is suffering from ghosting issues which stops working for few seconds or so. Therefore, it is time to change my mouse after so many years. So, in this regard shall I opt for Logitech g102 or ant gm300 or any other mouse. Please note that I have a tight budget.

i bought g102 light sync before a month but im not getting any problem with this the only issue is that its grip issue its not grippy thats it no sensor issue at all with low sensitivity

I am using white g102 lightsync since june 2021, in the first piece all problems starting coming up 1 saal use krne k bad, scroll wheel double click or even missing my clicks and i dragged it for almost 2 years and got it replaced in last week of warranty, now again after less than 1 year of usage my scroll wheel is already nonexistent, left click is missing some of my clicks and additional button also have double clicking problem and searching for a new one now. I am not sure yet which one should i go for as logitech is diff because it provide 2 years of warranty, my budget is around 1k range
I started getting double click issue on my Logitech G102 Lightsync just after 3 months and I can assure you that I don't click the buttons forcibly while I play, my clicks are a lot gentle unlike my squad mates. Even though my unit started to show double click issue right after 3 months after purchasing it and the saddest part is that I didn't got any replacement even after visiting the service center. My experience with Logitech has been extremely poor. Planning to switch to Razer or Cooler Master or Corsair or MSI or SteelSeries or HyperX or Asus or any other brand as there are tons of great choices available in the market.

Anything else you would recommend under 2k? Need something bigger than the 102 lightsync. I actually play with 800 dpi and relatively lower sensitivity, so looking for a better option. G102 is very small in my hand, I would be fine if there is something better even without RGB.

So finally in conclusion, we can say that g402 is better than g102😂😂...honestly just try to use the g402 bruh...it looks all big and uncomfortable but its just awesome...it has like 12.5m/s tracking rate. If you like it maybe make a dedicated video?
that's not the conclusion. The g402 shape is too big for most claw and fingertip users and it's unbalanced imo. It's heavier too. The 12.5m/s tracking is a gimmick as it introduces acceleration and jittering issues. I haves used it and still would recommend the g102 for most people.

After using this mouse for like honestly more than 1 year. Mouse sensor starts skipping a lot. I play valorant ofc I play 8 hours a day and ofc constantly flicks and things. It might feel that this sensor is not consistent. Build quality is really good and cable is kind of good but tangles up a lot. If you have a budget of 1500 just wait for some time and get around 2000 then easily buy steelseries rival 105 if ofc you want a better sensor and a better experience
Yes, can create problems for some people. Rival is a good option but steelseries service is a little doubtful right now. So once it improves then it should be a got to option.

The scroll wheel stopped working 2-3 months ago but I ignored that and got used to working without scroll. However, within a usage of less than 1 year I now have double click issues. I bought this mouse thinking double click issue is fixed with second gen but I think that is a big lie and Logitech has done nothing to fix it. Did not expect a company as big as Logitech to repeat a mistake! It's really pathetic and I am kinda pissed

G102 is better than GM300. But the g102 is prone to double clicking issues. So you will have to take a chance with it.

i bought g102 light sync before a month but im not getting any problem with this the only issue is that its grip issue its not grippy thats it no sensor issue at all with low sensitivity

After 6 months, my mouse is middle clicking and/or clicking the DPI button at random when I click the left button. I dunno what the hell is happening.

I am using white g102 lightsync since june 2021, in the first piece all problems starting coming up 1 saal use krne k bad, scroll wheel double click or even missing my clicks and i dragged it for almost 2 years and got it replaced in last week of warranty, now again after less than 1 year of usage my scroll wheel is already nonexistent, left click is missing some of my clicks and additional button also have double clicking problem and searching for a new one now. I am not sure yet which one should i go for as logitech is diff because it provide 2 years of warranty, my budget is around 1k range
So my final question is Corsair Katar pro or Logitech G102 Lightsync.Which one should i choose?

I started getting double click issue on my Logitech G102 Lightsync just after 3 months and I can assure you that I don't click the buttons forcibly while I play, my clicks are a lot gentle unlike my squad mates. Even though my unit started to show double click issue right after 3 months after purchasing it and the saddest part is that I didn't got any replacement even after visiting the service center. My experience with Logitech has been extremely poor. Planning to switch to Razer or Cooler Master or Corsair or MSI or SteelSeries or HyperX or Asus or any other brand as there are tons of great choices available in the market.

I have a G300s. After 2.5 Years i got the Double Click issue...i have swapped the left and right click for now... i like the shape of the G300s so much, searching for a similarly shaped mouse

Need something bigger than the 102 lightsync. I actually play with 800 dpi and relatively lower sensitivity, so looking for a better option. G102 is very small in my hand, I would be fine if there is something better even without RGB.
The only properly big mouse is the DA essential. It should be usable for casual use but there's chance it will double click
@@HardwareMana deathadder essential while larger, is very very light as well. I used MSi DB1 for more than a year, it was perfect both length and weight wise. Anything from lesser known brands like cosmic byte, lenovo legion or anything??

So finally in conclusion, we can say that g402 is better than g102😂😂...honestly just try to use the g402 bruh...it looks all big and uncomfortable but its just awesome...it has like 12.5m/s tracking rate. If you like it maybe make a dedicated video?
that's not the conclusion. The g402 shape is too big for most claw and fingertip users and it's unbalanced imo. It's heavier too. The 12.5m/s tracking is a gimmick as it introduces acceleration and jittering issues. I haves used it and still would recommend the g102 for most people.

After using this mouse for like honestly more than 1 year. Mouse sensor starts skipping a lot. I play valorant ofc I play 8 hours a day and ofc constantly flicks and things. It might feel that this sensor is not consistent. Build quality is really good and cable is kind of good but tangles up a lot. If you have a budget of 1500 just wait for some time and get around 2000 then easily buy steelseries rival 105 if ofc you want a better sensor and a better experience
Yes, can create problems for some people. Rival is a good option but steelseries service is a little doubtful right now. So once it improves then it should be a got to option.

Double click issue + scroll issue jus after 7 months..heavy usage tho
The scroll wheel stopped working 2-3 months ago but I ignored that and got used to working without scroll. However, within a usage of less than 1 year I now have double click issues. I bought this mouse thinking double click issue is fixed with second gen but I think that is a big lie and Logitech has done nothing to fix it. Did not expect a company as big as Logitech to repeat a mistake! It's really pathetic and I am kinda pissed
sad to hear it. It was never solved, just some people got lucky.
