The tip about doing freehand after base coat but before everything else is really helpful. Can't believe it's never occurred to me
It was mind blowing for me the first time I did it 🤯👍
TEA IN HAND, HE HAS ARRIVED!!!
Setting my stall out early... the 100k subscribers video needs to be Peachy painting his tea mug. Or just showing tips on how to make the best cuppa.
I like this idea? How’s about both 😂👍
A video on how to make a cuppa?
Are you insane?
Civil wars have started for less, then factor in the fact that Americans (those savages that microwave water) may see it and actually have the audacity to comment on cuppa technique….. doesn’t bear thinking about. There is already too much violent conflict in the world without Peachy adding to it!

Finally someone producing a tutorial who isn't afraid of using an all over wash and a drybrush. Classic methods to get models on the table
It’s definitely a technique that super helps speed up the army painting side of things, just a shame it gets such bad press.
All over wash and heavy dry brush is an all time great technique.
It's the only way I get an army on the table. Nice to see it getting a shout-out.
Great first vid here.
I use drybrush and edge highlights together at times. Drybrush for the main bulk of it and a little bit more edge highlights on certain areas I want to stand out.
That sponge technique with the brush cover is inventive. Is there a particular type of sponge you would recommend?
A Peachy is never late, nor is he early. He arrives exactly when he is needed.
Good to see you back Mr Peach
🫶 thanks bud
I have to say this: UA-cam suggested to watch Sharpe after this, thought you might get a laugh on that. Glad to see you doing this, getting back into the silent and appreciating viewership, thank you for a nice first step into the journey.
Same for me 😂
Same for me, makes sense with the 1796 light cavalry sabre in the background 🙂
Same, and it's been years since I've watched them. Didn't even realise they're on UA-cam, so that's me sorted for the next 20 hours!
Same🤣
Same here lol
I find it sad that the genius channel name of "Peachy Tips" is lost on anybody outside the UK 😢
Still, on the plus side; a dedicated Peachy channel!!!
or Canada
German here, and I got the joke. I prefer Yorkshire Gold though 😉
PG tips have a long and wide reach.
Ah ha! Thanks for pointing that out. USA here, totally didn't get it (and I specifically thought it was odd to have a teapot as a logo).
This series of videos is exactly what I needed. Work 5 jobs, parenting, struggling to slay the grey. Finally some practical, accessible advice on how to get the models from the sprue to the table that doesn't require an airbrush: Thank you. That is what you call proper tutorialing.
The chosen champion of the car park is here 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯( sharps revenge ya might be)
😂😂😂
You just did a normal UA-cam channels first like 5 videos in less that 20 minutes. I absolutely love it. Can't wait for the next one.
great video. cant wait for all your future content
Cheers bud, so much to learn and understand hahaha! Old world next though…..then something Sharpe related I reckon
I love this, it’s one of the very few videos that make the process seem really accessible and not too intimidating for those starting out on the painting journey or just catching back up after a break. It reminds me of a guy who got me into painting in games workshop in guildford recently, he’s like ‘this a way but if you find something that works for you don’t feel bad just go with it and have fun’
I love the feeling of these video, you almost feel like Peachy is just sitting next to you at the table with helping like a couple of friends having a painting session together.
I've been painting a long time and watching painting tutorials since the invention of UA-cam. I don't know what it is about you Peachy, but you make me feel more comfortable painting and bring back the joy in it all. Thank you very much!!
Wow, thank you! That’s super reassuring to hear 😍🙏😍
^this!! 100 times this!!
So begins the glorious painting vids :) brings me back to the days of you and Duncan doing your painting videos for GW
Stepped away from Warhammer at the end of last year and just came back. And what a surprise! Disappointed that you didn’t find an arrangement that worked out for you at the painting phase. Sad that you couldn’t be an equal partner, especially when your painting and conversions and GW stories were the main draw for me and I’m sure a lot of other people!
Very excited you’re still around and excited to see what you get up to next!
😍🙏😍 cheers bud! Onwards and upwards as they say, and with this channel it’ll be a lot more varied not just GW
Look to Peachy's coming on the first light of the fifth day, at dawn look to the east.
A new Peachy vid is the best way to start my Friday!
Hahaha! What a quote! Cheers Landon 😍🙏😍
Apparently I’m competing Dune! 😂😂😂
As someone 3 months back into it, this is really helpful, cheers!
rad video. thanks for the great painting advice.
Really good to see you back Peachy! Thanks for the great guide!
Two best hobbies combined - painting miniatures and HEMA stuff in the background to prove armour painting points 😀
You wait for the war of the roses paintguide! Coming soon…ish
Awesome first video, great for beginners.
Really helpful video Mr Peachy! I'm going to try watering down my wash next time! I do love an all over wash 💪
Slapchop, tremble! Jagged Highlighting is here to stay!
😂😂😂
I was always told that the way to solve the big pile or plastic is to buy more …
😂👍
I bet James Workshop himself told you that
Congrats on your new channel. Wishing you all the best.
Thank you that’s super kind 😍👍
a 17m peachy video? sign me up
Loved this video - loved the old school wash/drybrush tip.
Was a pleasure to meet you at CHILLCON too mate, Joe still hasn't stopped talking about it, he's a future cult member for you 👍
Hahaha! Thanks for taking the time to have a good old chin waggle, bless him I’m not that special tbh 😂👍
@@PeachyTips I'll break it to him softly 🤣 keep up the old school championing mate 🙂
Love it dude, can't wait for more :)
simple ,good, awesome for beginners and those in need of quick armys
legend!!!!!!!!!
Smashed it mate packed with loads of tips. Great thumbnail game
😂 cheers bud m! I’m still figuring out the thumbnail side of things lol
One thing about an all over wash that I think often gets overlooked is that If you have a model with 4 or 5 colours on it (with equipment and clothing etc), using one neutral tone like brown or grey to shade everything ties the model together and makes it look more realistic. This is particularly true if you want things to look dirty or dusty.
Love the realness, I Love watching Golden Deamon like stuff, but it isn’t where I am on my painting journey. This will help me get models done, and in the process make ME a better painter. Here’s to two peachy coats.
Great video. Looking forward to the rest of the series
"Unconsidered and brutish" is the best description of my painting I've ever heard.
ETA: Would love to see a stormtrooper tutorial some day.
All the best with the channel. I like this format. 100% pure Peachy.
Colour forge needs to sponsor this man RIGHT NOW!
I like the focus on 'getting it done well' rather than striving for 'perfection'. It's refreshing; much loke a good brew.
Im also hopeful that you are somewhat uniquely placed to open up the somewhat huge and enthusiastic 40k crowd to the wider world of wargaming (specifically historical).
Cheers! And I have a very fun 40k/ Napoleonic themed vid in the pipeline…..a gateway drug if you like
As long as you’re enjoying yourself, the community will enjoy your product. 🎉🎉🎉
Welcome back Peachy. Awesome video. I'm looking forward to many more.
You can’t beat shows that start with a hot drink. Love the mug bring on the merch!
Awesome video!!! Looking forward to this channel growing !!!
Aww shucks Jack! You’re to good to me 😘😘😘
Great stuff! I'm super happy to see you doing your own thing.
Very nice Peachy! Looking forward to the next part.
This is such a fantastic video for newer or frustrated painters that struggle with painting. There's such high expectation set by painting channels these days it's nice to see the positivity.
Awesome! Though those high end videos are amazing to watch, I do feel they’re needs to be some entry level stuff for us normal folks to help us eventually reach that kind of level.
I’m chuffed you like it 😍👍
Great job Peachy!! 🥰
so excited to see this! congrats Peachy
Thank you Peachy! 👍 and subscribed!
Welcome back Peachy! Looking forward to seeing more videos from you
Great video! Can't wait for more.
Great video! I wish I had this 3 years ago when I began painting my space wolves. Many helpful tips I learned the hard way and some I hadn't learned at all, all in one quick video.
Can. Not. Wait. To see more. Been enjoying your style for ages and so glad to see you continue!
Cheers! Glad to be back
Love that you talk about chipping and your jagged highlighting. I've always been afraid ''ruining'' my paintjob with a bad/too thick highlight.
Loving the background pattern 1796 light cavalry sabre!
That blade is certainly getting some love….and a very thoughtful parting gift from my GW collegues
@@PeachyTips I have Sharpe's 1796 heavy cavalry sword 😉
@@benives254wow! I’m very jealous 🙌🙌🙌
A thing I've found for mega quick highlights is just using the dry paint tyrant skull. It works well with most colours and makes it super quick.
Nice! If it works then keep at it 👍👍👍
The old universal highlight trick. Paint the whole model then drybrush everything with this and it will look good.
Cracking video mate 😎
Great video mate! Can’t wait for more!!
Edge highlights: How I got through the mobs of Blood Angels (batches of 20). I highlighted the knee pads then highlighted from the waist up. Skipped the legs. Saves tons of time and you don’t even notice on the table top.
Smart!
Cant wait for the rest of your videos Peachy!
An excellent start to what is sure to be an excellent journey for Peachy Tips
AND SO IT BEGINS! Good stuff, now MOAR!
Awesome stuff mate, loads of great techniques and tips, looking forward to more.
Aww cheers Stu, glad you liked it. And I appreciate the support 🙌🙌🙌

He lives! Stoked for this one
Great video, looking forward to more!
Awesome channel debut, really love the easy straight forward instruction
😍👍 cheers! I’m chuffed you approve
Comment for the algorithm gods! Also the comment about the washes and shades about how they dry slightly gloss is brilliant, thanks!
Thoroughly enjoyed being able to see how you see painting miniatures in a practical way! Never thought about different small techniques to help push the process along.
Thanks! Im chuffed you enjoyed it and found some value in the vid too 🍑😍🍑
Really excited to see what you do. Good luck with everything!
Cheers that’s a proper nice thing to say
Your sense of humor is the cherry on top! 👍
Great to see you again Peachy :)
Love your approach, thanks for being peachy peachy.

Congrats on the launch!!! Let’s get painting!!
Off to a cracking start already. Cheers for the Peachy Tips Peachy.
Great first video. Cant wait to see what future videos are. Congratulations again 🎉
Getting foundations right is so fundamental and often glossed over. Great video for all levels.
Cheers bud 😍👍
Great to have you back on the Tubes
Peachy, this is great! Such a fun and accessible video, and loads of great tips that I’m definitely going to be trying out. Looking forward to more!
Hey bud! Cheers for the comment, and I’m glad you enjoyed it. Lots still to show…..and lots to learn from a production pov. But I’m having a blast
Let's go!! Congratulations on having your own channel Peachy!
Thanks you! It’s great and scary lol
Excellent tips all. Cheers!
Already watched but just dropping a comment for the comments god!
Nice one Peachy!
Thanks bud...its very much appreciated!
Great video. I wish when I was getting back into the hobby that more content was available like this that's just straight forward, positive and trying to make it work for you as a hobbyist rather than showing off fancy terms.
Also - "... Like you're...tickling the edges of a dog's...paw..." The immense effort of self editing in the moment shows your steely professionalism. Thanks for your efforts 👑
Cheers 👍 I’m glad you enjoyed it, hopefully it be helpful to others getting into this mad world of painting.
And yeah I wasn’t sure where the dogs paw analogue was going lol 🤦♂️😂
Good to have you back. Great video 👍🏻
Awesome stuff, good tips and I've just started a Space Marine army! Perfect timing
Nice! Well I have two vids over the weekend showing the first founding chapters of that helps.
Great start. 👍
