Those of you having trouble with the 600. I paird mine and all and still didn't work. So what i did was have the headset paird with the usb, then get a plug in head set ( any kind) and plug it up. Go to sound/ device menu and set the chat auido for *all audio*. Then it should connect after that. Hope i helped somehow
For the people that are confused
The Stealth 600 does not have the optical cord therefore you can’t control the voice and game chat separately.
If you have a PS4 slim with the Stealth 700 (can adjust both game and chat volume separately) then you’re basically downgrading your headset to a Stealth 600.
I just bought a 700 off eBay and it didn’t come with a manual so this was very helpful

Never tried the 700, but I’ve had a 600 when they first came out and they are awesome. Very durable as well.

is it just me or is the Stealth 600 game audio super quiet? I've tried maxing out the volume on everything I could but I can still here a pin drop in the room with the headset on and maxed out ...I mean the volume on my cell phone is louder than the sound that comes outta this headset!

Hi there, I'm having big troubles with mini-interferences on my Stealth700 for the PS4.
Whether I'm in the PS4 Menu or ingame, I don't have 10 seconds of ongoing sound without little hick-ups and inteferences.
However I do have my Netgear Nighthawk right next to the PS4 Pro.
But neither on my PS4 Wireless Headset 2.0 or on the (now returned) Razer Thresher 7.1 did I experience these interferences. Any ideas or suggestions??

Yes. It’s super annoying.
I learned that if you turn the voice dial on the left side down, you won’t hear your voice back. I originally thought this meant my friends wouldn’t hear my voice but that’s not true. I think it’s really dumb that that is even a feature because who the hell would ever want to hear themself.

Especially when explaining that if you have the original PS4 or the “pro” version, the setting needs to be set to CHAT only and only if you have the “slim” model, the settings need to be ALL AUDIO. That alone seems to confuse many PlayStation gamers when calibrating their microphones. You did the best video I have seen on UA-cam and UA-cam should recognize your work! To be honest, it would've been better if Turtle Beach added a USB port to the front of the dongle. In this case, the user will have a free USB port in the event they need to charge their controller too, especially if they do not have a PS4 Pro, which has an extra USB port on the back. Like if you agree :)

Thank you......the installation instructions for my 700's said to set it to Chat Audio and it sounded like I was inside a barrel. Switched to All Audio and boom, sound was normal.
theboyx3 you’re supposed to set it to chat audio only like the video stated for the Stealth 700. Set it to chat audio only then turn on superhuman hearing, that’s wat makes it a virtual surround sound, if it’s set to all audio then it would just be stereo. Most people are use to stereo sound so they thing it’s the right settings. Surround sound sounds quieter and echoey but you’ll pick up all the little sounds.

Try re pairing, you should have an instruction manual that came with the head set on there look on the section that says "pairing" it should have pictures about using a paper clip on the Usb Transmitter, just follow the instructions on the paper it should help I had the same issue today in the morning but with the instructions I was able to fix it, hope this advice helps :)

I just bought the Stealth 700 and let me tell you, this headset is awesome I’m so happy with it. Did my first live stream with it last night and everyone in the room could hear me loud and clear, the mic on this headset is unbelievable everyone in the room couldn’t believe how awesome the sound was from it. The surround sound it really impressive, you can hear everything around you. I played for 2 hours last night and it was very comfortable and the noise canceling is really good. When you have this headset on you hear nothing going on in the room that your in, my wife had to yell in order for me to hear her lol. There is a volume for chat and a volume control for game sound which is great to have, I was able to hear all chats clearly and game play with no issues. I highly recommend this headset to anyone. If you want a awesome headset this is it, thank you Turtle Beach.

@@mmaomar3919 you just go to turtle beach website and you will create a acct and register your headset. Then you can set it all up in there! It'll check for you, and if there is a update available it'll tell you and update it for you.

SinLikeSnow I was just thinking the same thing! I wish I had just looked for a new set of TurtleBeach “PX4” headsets!!! Those have been the best I have ever used and there is no need for any PC and there’s a small box that actually has all the sound control presets right on it and you can change it on the fly with the press of a button and the buttons blink in sequence to let you know what number setting is activated. Why do they make new headphones that now require a freaking PC!? It’s like TurtleBeach decided to downgrade? I swear my PX4 headsets are twice as good as anything else that’s new on the market! Cheap cheap cheap cheap!!! That’s how companies LOSE long time customers! 🙄

I get that you need to use chat audio for PS4 stealth 700 but it changes the output to TV even though it says Turtle Beach. But when using all audio the audio is actually surround sound but i can no longer control volumes separately.

I have the same problem, but can only seem to fix it when I change the audio settings of my TV which I think is ridiculous. The link down below doesn't help me whatsoever. Have you figured it out?

Ibrahim AL-harbi Unfortunal I found out through a link (can’t find it anymore) that it is impossible to fix the problem other than to change the settings on your tv while your playing. This headset just isn’t made to perform well without all the hassle unfortunately.

i have stealth 600 . the headset was working finr working brfore i connected it to my laptop and updated the firmware on it . and then it wouldnt turn on or give audio prompts . its only had a red light flashing at the bottom of it . it dose the same thing when plugged in and wont go away when the power botton is pushed .

does the digital optical cable block the LAN port? Why do you select Dolby with the S700 if it supports DTSx ? I don't know Jason, between the buttons, build, and features to price, this headset looks like trash.

Turn on superhuman hearing mode to get virtual surround sound. If the mode is off then the headset would just be stereo.
As a long time Turtle Beach buyer, it was the only thing I looked for when my Stealth 400’s broke. After deciding on what newer model to go with I chose the Stealth 600’s. After setting them up and playing about 3 Blackout games on BO4 I realized these were a downgrade from my 400’s. The sound is terrible. On the 400’s you could turn them up with the game volume on the side of the headset. On the 600’s I had it turned up to max thru the PlayStation and the headset and still not nearly as loud as my 400’s. Also on the 400’s you could adjust the game chat with a switch. On the 600’s you can only adjust your own voice volume. I don’t understand this. I mean who cares to adjust there own voice. Game chat should be more important. Long story short I took them back after 2 hours. This is a down grade. Sorry Turtle Beach but I’m not sure I will buy another pair after this experience.

1- i press the Bluetooth button , but still NOT working .

Hello, I had a question maybe someone would be able to help out. I used to have the stealth 400 and I loved them the biggest thing I loved was the 2 different volume turning controls on the headset. One for game sound and the other for chat volume. I currently tried the stealth 600 a few days ago and it has two turning volume controls but it does not separate the sound from game and party chat, one turning control controls the game sound and party volume. Do the stealth 700 have 2 turning volume controls ? And if so does it separately control different things or just one turning control for game and party?

This is so annoying it does not want to pair plz help if done the instructions so many times but doesn't want to connect
Bleachy get a paper clip and there should be a little hole on your USB transmitter insert the paper clip and wait for 5 seconds the Usb dongle should start blinking rapidly
Next turn on your headset and hold the power button until it starts to blink rapidly once that happens stop holding the power button and Both the Usb transmitter and headset should be blinking it will take around 5 seconds to pair
Hope this advice helps I had the same issue but I solved it using the instruction manual that came with the head set
Hey Crazygamer, I think I had a similar problem to u as I literally just had to use an earring in order to re pair my headphones. Just wanted to see if you had the same problem, but were u using the PS4 slim (without digital optical) options or PS4/PS4 Pro (with digital optical) options. I have a ps4 but I was using the ps4 slim and it was working fine until now.

CurryPowder you can get an hdmi optical splitter for $30-$60 that runs high quality audio through the hdmi and ports it through the optical cable to your headset.

hello. I am about to make the return of the 700. On the second day he stopped talking and giving me the information and it is impossible for me to connect it via Bluetooth. the 2 options come out and the one from LA I leave it as I did the first day. all updated daily. since I did it yesterday. My headset literally has no sound. No party chat, no game sound, no lobby chat. I can hear myself talking and the mic picks up even me rubbing my finger on a piece of paper, but no sound. Yes, I am using the volume wheels on the back of the headset, no effect. I am aware one is for you to hear yourself and the other is for the headset volume, neither of the wheels do anything, to include the one where you hear yourself. I followed the instructions from this video, the instruction leaflet, and google to the letter. I simply have no sound. I'm not sure what the problem is and was wondering if anyone had the same issue and had a fix?
Troy Wilson You haven't paired the headphones with the USB transmitter that plugs into the USB port. Turn your headphones off, and plug the transmitter in the USB slot of PS, then you have to use a paper clip and press the little pair that's a tiny pin drop hole on the side of your transmitter and hold it in until you see the transmitter flash a couple. times, then hold on your power button on headphones until the blue light stays solid... that means you paired the headphones, and could then use them.
Like the other reply suggested, try re-pairing the headset to it's USB transmitter, as instructed here: support.turtlebeach.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000228893-Stealth-600-for-PS4-PS4-Pro-Pairing-Instructions

No. You'll only lose the surround sound option. However, this isn't a huge deal, since you can still be able to really pinpoint your enemies. You can still use it wireless tho.

I have the 700s. I don't have that problem but you're probably too far from the transmitter or something is blocking your headset from the transmitter.

XxRobyxBeSt98xX - it May be the way ur charging it. Sometimes if ur charging it thru ur PS4, it’ll be really slow. I’d prefer to use like an extra outlet that u have so u can charge it. If it still takes more than 7 hours, there’s probably a problem with the headset

The video said it was necessary with the 700, not for the 600. But it probably isn't a problem if you have it turned on with the 600. He just didn't say anything about doing it for the 600.

crimsonsucker did you ever find out? My instructions say a red light means its charging then it will be blue when fully charged but the red light just turns off and I've never seen a blue light.

So I just got my stealth 700. I have the hub downloaded, my PC is recognizing that the headset is plugged in, and my transmitter is plugged in and lit up. But when I click on the app it says checking for updates then completely closes out? Won't let me do anything. Any ideas?
How to update firmware
Skill 009 download the turtle beach hub app from the website on a pc or Mac and then plug the headphones in to the pc or Mac with the micro usb and also connect to usb transmitter to the pc or Mac and launch the hub app, it will automatically say “do you want to update firmware” put yes then wait 5 mins

hello guys i have stealth 600. The headset was working fine before I connected it to my laptop and updated the firmware on it. Now it wont turn on or give audio prompts. My only questio is how do I mute my mic without turning it off when I’m gaming. I haven’t found that answer anywhere, anyone know how?

Whats the point of the optical cable? Are we missing out on something if we have the ps4 slim and unable to connect with optical? How about with the 600s? Can we still get surround sound and all chat features with the ps4 slim?
Is the surround sound affected or changed if you have optical input or don’t have optical input?
